Gaming news: Sonic Mania collector’s edition reveal!

After the recent news of the new Sonic the Hedgehog games, SEGA officially revealed a collector’s edition to the new game Sonic Mania. The collector’s edition will hit fans with some “nostalgia” with this edition.

Based on the images provided by IGN, the collector’s edition to Sonic Mania will have the following:

  • A 12-inch Sonic statue on top of a SEGA Genesis base. The base will have a power button that will say “SEGA!”
  • A Deluxe Box set that will have Sonic Mania. The art resembles the 1991 Sonic the Hedgehog (North America version)
  • A Metallic Collector’s Card with a downloadable key
  •  SEGA cartridge cast with a Golden Ring

The Collector’s set will cost up to $70. The game will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. According to Amazon, the game might be released on May 31, 2017 but it’s unconfirmed.

TGS2016 News: Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 cover art and new release date reveal!

Today is the first day of the Tokyo Game Show 2016. To those who don’t know, the Tokyo Game Show is almost like the E3 Game Show but it features many Japanese publishers and developers like Square Enix, and Koei Tecmo. Last night, Square Enix revealed some interesting news and trailer to the new upcoming game, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. The Kingdom Hearts is a personal favorite of mine and this game is the second video game I’m waiting; the first would be Final Fantasy XV.

First, Square Enix released the video game trailer of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8. Besides being able to play an HD version of Dream Drop Distance, the fans will be able to play as Aqua and learn more about her story after the events of Birth by Sleep in her solo story, Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage. This special chapter in the game will also link up to the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III.

The trailer also makes a surprising news that the game will be released NOT in December. Instead, Japan will be getting this game in January 12, 2017. North America and Europe will get the game in January 24, 2017.

Second, Square Enix also revealed the Japanese cover art of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8. The cover art will almost be like the previous HD collections by showing the 3 games in one. Final Fantasy fans will also recognize that the cover striking resembles an image from Final Fantasy XV.
