The Versatile Blogger Award *Halloween Special*

I want to thank Tessa of All About Anime for nominating me for this award! To make this post special, I will be sharing some interesting facts for this Halloween season!

  1. Display Award.
  2. Thank the person who gave this award (and include a link to their blog.)
  3. Share seven things about yourself.
  4. Nominate ten bloggers.

7 Facts about Matt!

1. I think at one point in my life I was afraid of zombies but ever since I played Zombies in Call of Duty with my brother, I don’t get scared easily by zombies and all I think about is killing them in video games.

2. As a child, I dressed up as Pikachu in Kindergarten. When I got a littler older in Elementary school, I dressed up as a vampire about three times in Halloween.

3. I am not a fan of horror films, regardless if they are good or bad. You won’t see me watch Friday the 13th or Saw.

4. Batman: Arkham Asylum surprisingly scared me. There were moments in the game that caught me off guard like the crazy inmates and even Scarecrow’s hallucinations.

5. When I was kid, I was terrified of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. I am thinking about if I do go back to Disneyland, I want to try and go the Haunted Mansion.

6. I own a CD based on the Nightmare Before Christmas movie called “Nightmare Revisited”. The CD has different artists and singers that plays the classic songs in their own versions. Out of all the songs I listened, I enjoy listening to “This is Halloween” sung by Marilyn Manson.

7. Last but not least, I have a anime recommendation for this Halloween holiday today. Just like Shay’s (Anime Reviewer Girl) choice in her video “My Halloween Anime Recommendation”, I have an anime episode I would recommend watching for Halloween. It’s not much as scary but it’s a funny episode where the characters are dressed up. If you are Bleach fan, I recommend watching Episode 304 (I believe?) in Bleach. Ichigo and his friends are monsters and they have to fight Isshin and Ryuken.

This new game takes place after the events of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep and it connects to Kingdom Hearts III. The story is about Aqua and her life being trapped in the Realm of Darkness. The trailer reveals the return of veteran singer Utada Hikaru with a new remix song of Simple and Clean. The song is called “Simple and Clean – Ray of Hope MIX”.

After for being quiet for a long time, Square Enix shared some pictures on Tweeter of new screenshots of the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III. Based on the images, Sora will be fighting the Heartless what appears to be Mount Olympus from the movie Hercules. Also appearing on the images s the return of the Drive Forms. If you don’t know what it is, Drive Forms is a special ability where Sora can increase his powers and change his clothes by borrowing powers from his friends. TGIF Friday Funny 80: Why so serious?

Thank God it’s Friday! Today is another episode of Friday Funny hosted by yours truly, Matthew of Matt-in-the-Hat. This maybe too early but since we are most likely be busy on Monday, I wanted to say Happy (Early) Halloween. Halloween is on Monday! Isn’t that scary? Anyway, I decided to say this early because I can imagine that we all have plans on that day whether it’s hosting a Halloween party or just going trick-or-treating for candy or even binging on horror films. If you plan to be active at night, be careful of crazy people. You might come across muggers that would want to rob you or creepy clowns that will do things I don’t even want to imagine. If you are brave to go outside, bring out your weapons for self-defense. Besides Halloween being the news, I also have other news!

First, if you still play Pokemon Go, it’s been announced that there is an event going from Oct 26- November 1 that will be doubling candy for capturing Pokemon and spooky Pokemon like Ghastly will appear on your phone. Second, Nintendo unveiled the new console called the Nintendo Switch. With this new device, players can play new games at home or anywhere by switching the controller/device. In other words, it’s a home console and portable device! Based on the trailers, get ready for third party games! Unfortunately, you can’t play Wii U or 3DS games on it. Last but not least, next week I will be really busy because at work, we are having a Peak week. In that week, I will be working overtime and stowing stuff at Amazon because there are many customers who will be online shopping. While you shop, I work to help you buy! You’re welcome. XD

Enough talk! Let’s get spooky!! BOO!!!

To end this post, here are some creepy but funny videos. Don’t watch at night. Lol 😉

I hope you all have a safe night at Halloween!

Anime News

Announced at the official website, the anime KonoSuba (or KonoSuba – God’s blessing on this wonderful world!!) will be getting a second season and it will be streamed on January 11. It’s also revealed that Machico (the same artist who did the previous opening in the first season) will perform the new opening song. The voices for the main cast will also return and play the ending theme song. The site also released a new visual. The anime is based on Natsume Akatsuki’s light novel.

Here is the synopsis of the anime:

Kazuma Satō, a hikikomori (shut-in) die-hard fan of games, anime, and manga. A traffic accident brings his disappointingly brief life to an end … or it should have, but he wakes up and sees a beautiful girl who introduces herself as a goddess. “Hey, I have some good news — would you like to go to an alternate world? You may only bring one thing you like with you.”

He responds, “…So, I’ll bring you.” With that, he is transported to another world and his great adventure subjugating the demon king begins … but first the hard work of finding food, clothing, and shelter begins. Kazuma wants to live in peace, but the goddess raises one problem after another, and then the demon king’s army has its eyes set on him.

Also joining in for another season is High School DxD. It’s been announced that the ecchi harem High School DxD will return with a 4th anime season!

Light novel describes it as:

Issei Hyōdō, a dim-witted, lecherous second-year high school student who is killed by a girl on his first date ever. Issei is reincarnated as a devil, and from that day forward, he serves as an underling of Riasu, a high-level devil who is also the prettiest girl on Issei’s campus.

7 facts about me

1. In Pokemon Go, I am part of Team Mystic

2. The first game I got for a Platinum Trophy for PS4 is Infamous: Second Son. If you want to check out my review, it’s here in this link below.

3. I recently uploaded some random gameplay of the “Platinum Demo – Final Fantasy XV” on YouTube. If you have free time, check out my gameplay of the demo. There are five parts. Remember, this is me playing the game and I don’t own titles to Final Fantasy XV or any Square Enix game.

4. When I listen to music, I either switch from listening to anime songs from openings and endings to Disney songs. I enjoy anime and Disney songs.

5. My first Gundam series I got into was actually SD Gundam Force. I used to watch it when I was little in the afternoons at Toonami. My second Gundam series I got into is Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans.

6. This maybe odd to some but I hate cursing and I don’t wish to curse. When I get frustrated, I just say “darn” or just “dang”. Instead of saying God’s name in vain, I say “dear Neptune or mother of pearl”, just like SpongeBob.

7. I saved the best for last! When I first started to watch anime fans online on YouTube. The very first anime channel WASN’T anyone from WordPress like LitaKino or Shay (AnimeReviwer Girl). I used to watch a guy named Hardy who had a channel named TheHardMode. He would do anime reviews. This was before I met anyone from WordPress.

TGIF Friday Funny Episode 79: October 21

Thank God it’s Friday! Today is Friday and I hope everyone is having a great morning or afternoon. I have some important news to share for gamers and online fans! This is not one of the news, but just as a reminder, I got a job at Amazon last week on Wednesday (10/12). This means I will be really busy but I will still be here to respond to Tweets and WP comments.

You might be wondering what’s the deal with the title. I got this title from the classic movie “Back to the Future: Part II“. Saturday is Back to the Future Day and the reason why it is a big deal is because in the movie, the characters Marty McFly and Doc Brown time travel to the future of 2015 in California. Last year, people tweeted and talked about Back to the Future.

Now onward to the news! Saturday is the online web-series premiere of volume 4, RWBY. The anime series returns and all your favorite characters return after the dramatic events of volume 3. Ruby and her friends are back to kill the Grimm and restore the world from a evil. Most fans remember going through the suffering in volume 3, but now with volume 4, fans are anxiously ready for more adventures. Remember to stay tune to the first episode on October 22.

In the next and final news, October 25 is the official release of the video game Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. In this sequel, fans can relieve the Dragon Ball moments and fight to save the future by helping the heroes in the past. The new game will include new characters like villains from the movies and Dragon Ball Super characters, like Goku Black. Even more players will be able to work together in missions and tackle enemies. Based on people’s gameplay, if you have the save file to the first game, your information will be transferred to this game.

Final, final news is that I reached 500 posts on October 17!

Now enough with the babbling, let’s get back to the funnies!

To conclude this post, here are some old RWBY intro videos!

RWBY volume 1

RWBY volume 2

RWBY volume 3

News: Surprise movie joins Toonami at Daylight Savings? YenPress adds more Spice and Wolf!

Announced on Twitter here:

I tried finding other sources like Anime News Network and Crunchyroll to back up this news and to get more information but this the only thing I can find. Overall, it’s been announced that Toonami will be premiering an anime movie called Children Who Lost Voices. The anime film is even licensed by Sentai Filmworks and you can watch it in English Dub too. Here is the synopsis to the anime from Rightstuf:

When she hears a strange song from a crystal radio, Asuna tunes into more than just a magical stream of music. Soon, she is transported to a mysterious world where mythical beasts roam and brave warriors fight for their lives. Agartha is a land of breathtaking beauty and unimaginable danger – a place where, it is believed, even the dead can be brought back to life. But at what cost?

Directed by Makoto Shinkai (who is credited for doing Voices of a Distant Star, 5 cm per Second.)

The movie will be premiered on Daylight Savings, November 5th.

Feel free to correct this news or give me any updates.
