TGIF Friday Funny 92: May your hearts be your guiding key

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back for another episode of TGIF Friday Funny. This is Matthew and I am back with more funny pictures. In this episode I want to dedicate this to another popular game series. The same company who did Final Fantasy XV is back with another game but it’s not Final Fantasy. Along with Final Fantasy, the popular series Kingdom Hearts is back with a new collection game and this is one is different than the previous collections. The new game is Kingdom Hearts HD II.8: Final Chapter Prologue. The game is expected to come out on January 24th for PS4 only.

This game includes he following:

Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance HD: An HD remake to the 3DS game Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. The game will be on the PS4 under the title Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance HD. A game where the story takes place after KHII and Sora and Riku enter the Sleeping Worlds and enter the Mark of Mastery to become Keyblade Masters.

Kingdom Hearts x Back Cover: Told through cinematic cutscenes, this part of the story takes place before Kingdom Hearts begins and tells the story through the eyes of Keyblade Masters and bearers. This story shapes the future of the Kingdom Hearts story.

Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage: Taking place after the events of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, Keyblade master Aqua is still trapped in the Realm of Darkness for 10 years. Players will play as Aqua and dwell through the darkness and fight the Heartless and escape.

This is what the game collection will have. KH2.8 will serve as a prologue to the upcoming anticipated game Kingdom Hearts III. Like any other fan, I am excited to play this game. I already reserved my copy for the Limited Edition game and I bought the new soundtrack of Simple and Clean by Utada Hikaru. The soundtrack is called Simple and Clean (Ray of Hope Mix).

Last but not least, 2017 marks the 15th anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts series. Also, keep an eye on the PSN store because Square Enix will be adding Sora from Kingdom Hearts for the spinoff game World of Final Fantasy.

Now, let’s begin this post with a smile, my seekers of light and darkness!

To end this post, here are some Kingdom Heart clips to bring in hype.

Dream Drop Distance:

That’s all for today. Go out and defeat the darkness!

6 Years of Square Portal | Thank you!

Dear Reader,

Today marks the 6th anniversary of Square Portal and I’d like to thank you for your support and love! It’s hard to believe I’ve been doing this for over half a decade already and still have a drive to push things forward – very passionately! Well, with impressive and exciting games, side projects, events, amazing community, new friends – even personal growth –  it’s hardly surprising, as they all have made the journey extremely memorable and highlighting my life as an individual. So, Thank You!
As Square Portal and I are one and the same thing, it has become a very personal, ambitious project over the years. Especially with the new changes coming in 2017. I’d say sometimes it is too much for one person to handle everything, but that way, it’s also more rewarding. These past months outside of Final Fantasy XV content has been a bit dry, but…

Your Name. screens in North America

This is late news but late than never, I guess.

Being one of all greatest anime films of 2016, Makoto Shinkai’s film Your Name. will be coming here in North America in theaters! This also includes Canada! The movie will be screened on April 7th and it will include dates for English Dub and Sub all provided by FUNimation.

Plot synopsis:

Mitsuha wakes up in Taki’s body, and he in hers. This bizarre occurrence continues to happen randomly, and the two must adjust their lives around each other. Yet, somehow, it works. They build a connection and communicate by leaving notes, messages, and more importantly, an imprint.

Unboxing – Final Fantasy XV Deluxe Edition (late post!)

This is a special unboxing post of the video game I preordered Final Fantasy XV Deluxe Edition for the PS4. This was originally planned for the official release, November 29, 2016, but things got too busy at that time. So this may be late but I will be showing you what the Deluxe Editon has and what it looks like compared to the standard version. This game is also available for Xbox One.

TGIF Episode 91: Live by the Sword

Thank God it’s Friday! Hello everyone, this is Matthew of Matt-in-the-Hat and I welcome to my kingdom. Before I begin, let me make a personal announcement. I finally beat Final Fantasy XV! I don’t know when will I do a review but I will say this is the best game I have ever played. This was huge game to play but the adventure and story and characters were worth it. With this said here are some other news! If you are an aniblogger (a blogger who posts anime or manga related content) and you haven’t submitted a post to Arria’s 9th Fujinsei Blog Carnival, go do so before Sunday! Like I said in the past, in this blog carnival, anibloggers can submit and share one post about anime/manga to other bloggers and make friends. It has to be anime/manga related or you won’t be able to participate. If you want to be friends with the host, Arria Cross, be nice to her and she will be the best friend online. She likes One Piece and Yuri on Ice.

Be sure to check out the OWLS and read the current blog tour posts about disruptors. It’s the OWLS duties to teach people about self-respect by using our knowledge of anime/manga. The recent posts were done by me, Kat, Venus and Arria. There will be more up ahead.

If you are wondering about the title and wondering why is not something related to Friday the 13th, this is because tomorrow is the Cartoon Network return of the classic cartoon Samurai Jack. On Toonami, they will be bringing back the show by one episode each week from season 1 to the new and final season 5, at 8:30 PM E/T. Samurai Jack is a cartoon show about a samurai Jack who gets sent to the future by an evil wizard named Aku. Jack must defeat Aku and return home. The cartoon was first released in 2001 and left a huge cliffhanger on 2004. It’s been recently reported that the creator Genndy Tartakovsky will finally finish the cartoon in the new fifth season.

Also, from Jan 10-17 is the theatrical movie One Piece Film: Gold! Make sure you grab your tickets and catch the premiere!

Now, enough wasting time and let’s begin the weekend!

To help bring in the hype for Samurai Jack, check out some awesome fight moments from the cartoon!

Top 5 anime look-a-likes!

As an anime fan, you meet a variety of unique and different characters. However, have you seen a character that seemed too similar to another character? I am saying, have you seen a character that looked almost similar in appearance? Sometimes, a mangaka artist or author may create their characters by coincidence or they base it off from someone’s work. If it’s based on works, they either (a) really respect the original artist and wanted to do their own creation or (b) steal the idea and claim it as their own. In this top post 5 posts, I will be showing some anime characters that look strikingly similar to other characters in different works. This will be focused on different works and not on the same genre (in short, this may not be limited to only anime. Also this is not in order. Just things that popped in my head).
