Long ago in the distant cyberspace
WordPress, the Master of blogs,
Unleashed some amazing bloggers
But, a foolish young man wielding some amazing writing skills
Stepped forward to oppose it
*type**click**post*
Before he was about to depart
WordPress tore open a portal in time
and flung him into the anime community
where anime and randomness is law
Now the blogger seeks to survive
and hope to see another day!
(this is an exaggeration!)
TGIF!
Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome to another episode of Friday Funny! I have some important announcements to make and I hope you enjoyed my Samurai Jack style intro. First of all, if you have been watching Toonami every Saturday, tomorrow is the return of season 5 of Samurai Jack. The creator and the crew are back and this time, this cartoon is not kid friendly. Second, I hope you enjoyed the movie Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale on Thursday here in the United States (shame that we couldn’t get Accel World movie here)! The Sword Art Online is the 4th anime movie premiered in American theaters; the first three would be One Piece: Film Gold, Sailor Moon R and Yu-Gi-Oh!: Darkside of Dimesions (your name. will be premiered on April 7th). Today is the movie release of Kong: Skull Island. In this movie, get ready to experience a whole new King Kong movie that will appeal old and new fans. This Saturday is the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards and the host is John Cena! Watch as actors and singers get slimed and see previews of movies.
Also going on the web we have the 10th Blog Carnival from Arria Cross’s. You know the drill, please visit and meet new and old friends. Also, please support the OWLS blog tour, go read Shay, Lita, mine, Takuto, and BeckNaja; this collects this week and last week.
ALSO, DAYLIGHT SAVINGS IS ON MARCH 12! We spring forward time.
Now, Link Start!
To end this post, here are some videos!
Trailers
Goodbye and have an awesome day!
Hey Matthew,
I had been meaning to send you this.
I know that you are a big SAO fan. I am a big Iwasa Misaki fan. Put ’em together* and you have this link.
Wasamin sings LiSA’s “Crossing Field” at the Japan Expo last month.
Miss Misaki was on the program as an ambassador of Japanese Enka style singing. She did some enka-versions of AKB songs (you can find the links from this video on YT). I am glad that she sang Crossing Field “straight” though. She looks cute doing those “rock” moves in a kimono.
*Please enjoy our worlds colliding!
Denny
Hey Denny, I saw and finished the video. Iwasa Misaka has a beautiful voice and I like how she sang the Sword Art Online theme song. I like how she danced with the kimono. Thank you for sharing this to me. I enjoyed our colliding worlds. If there is more out there, feel free to share. 🙂
Kirito Vs. Guts. omg I don’t know how to feel about that. but that comment “RIP kirito, you’ll be missed” gave me a good chuckle.
Also, Psycho-Pass the movie was released in theaters sometime last year, but it wasn’t as heavily advertised as many of the ones you’ve mentioned. 🙂 Just a little fun fact for you!
Oh yeah I forgot about that movie. You were right, I felt it didn’t get much attention.
Thanks for the link! Also, I died at the SAO Spongebob one (Leafa)!😂😂😂 Happy Friday Matt, it’s nice to finally have made it to one of these. It’s been too long!
Yeah that picture of Patrick super funny. Happy Friday Takuto and have an awesome weekend! 🙂
