Friday Funny 106: Need help laughing? I can fix that!

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back to another episode of TGIF Friday Funny! I hope everyone is okay and survived this week. If you guys didn’t know, this week is the last full week of April. Wow! Another month has ended and we already getting close to May. May will be busy because of many things like the new movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Mother’s Day, my dad’s birthday and we got another blog tour for May. As we get ready for the weekend, get ready for a new episode of the English Dub Attack on Titan season 2 and another episode of Samurai Jack season 5. We only have 4 more of episodes of Samurai Jack!

In my personal life, I recently preordered the game Sonic Mania; the game is set to be released for September 22nd. Before I forget, mark your calendars for April 29th, 8pm Central/ 9 pm EST because my OWLS members Kat, Naja and Lita will be doing a Livestream on this April’s Blog Tour.

With this said, let’s begin the Friday post!

To end this post, I want to end with something different. If you seen my tweets,  I reviewed the DLC to my favorite video game Final Fantasy XV, Episode Gladioulus. I also completed all trophies. I will be sharing some music as if Gladio made  a playlists. The character Gladio is known for his brute strength and fighting strong enemies, so I compiled some music that describes him; in short, a playlist. Enjoy these songs and get an idea on what kind of guy is he 😉

Gladiolus Playlist:

That’s all folks. Get ready for May!

Sunshine Blogger Award

I want to thank ignite18 of Marvelously Mismatched for nominating me for the Sunshine Blogger Award. I must be really popular if I keep getting awards. To bad I can never find time to do all these in one day. Anyway, you know the drill.

– Thank the person who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog.
– Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you.
– Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write then 11 new questions.
– List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.

1. How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?

I try to set goals for myself. One of these goals is to think about my readers and keep them entertained. If not for my readers, I like to open up my thoughts here in my site.

2. If you could live in a book, TV show or movie, what would it be?’

I would pick TV show for my choice. I would choose Samurai Jack because it would be awesome to work together with Jack and I would like to help him get back to his home.

3. What was your dream job growing up?

This is a tricky one because my dream job growing kept changing. First, I wanted to be a computer programmer and then after going through a lot in college, I want to be either a reviewer or journalist.

4. What’s one thing you think an anime should never do?

I guess it would be not going ahead of the manga in certain titles. For example, I heard Fullmetal Alchemist followed the manga for a bit but then it left and made its own story. Another example would be Rurouni Kenshin, we never got the Jinchu Arc and we ended up having tons of filler.

5. If you could time travel would you go to the future or the past?

I would go back to the past. I would want to avoid making mistakes of my life.

6. What fad do you wish would come back? Which do you feel should stay gone forever?

If I could bring back a fad, I would bring back Gangnam Style. The one fad I feel like should go is dubstep. It was okay for a while but I never like the music and I don’t understand how can people enjoy it.

7. If you could bring any fictional character to life, who would it be and why?

I would pick Noctis Lucis Caelum from Final Fantasy XV. It would be cool to play video games and be lazy all day. We could hide from our responsibilities and do nothing all day.

8. Would you rather explore a new planet or the deepest part of the ocean? Why?

I would pick the deepest part of the ocean; I seen the movie Interstellar and I don’t want to spend light years away from home!

9. How would you survive a zombie apocalypse?

If an apocalypse occurred, I would grab my sword I keep away and stock up on junk food. If that fails, I going to Sam’s Club and making it my home.

10. Favourite chip flavour?

I like Hot Cheetos with the lemon flavors. I like eating hot and sour chips.

11. If you could have the answer to any question what would your question be?

I guess my question would be this: If a tree falls down in the forest and no one is there, does it make a sound?

Friday Funny 105: Interstellar!

Thank God it’s Friday! We finally made it to the weekend and oh boy, I really need it. I hope everyone is doing great this week and I hope your Easter was good as well. Over here been good in my personal life except that I had to wake up pretty early on both Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully tomorrow I can sleep in and catch up with some sleep. Embarrassing as it sounds, this week has been really slow for my blog. I actually got some reviews I want to do but I need some motivation to help me get started. Sorry for the lack of content. I do, however have some recap news and some news in Toonami.

The recap news is that the anime Hyouka and anohana will be receiving English Dub translations! Hyouka first set of the DVDs is planned to be release this summer in July. Anohana will be directed by Patrick Seitz and it will have a cast of professional English voice actors to provide the character’s voices. In news with Toonami, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures is over. It’s time to say good bye to Joseph, Hamon, Speedwagon, Pillarmen and many more. Let’s hope that Toonami will later broadcast Stardust Crusaders and introduce Josuke and the Stands. Replacing JBA is the second season of Attack on Titan! I have yet to see the 2nd season and I am actually surprised that we getting the English Dub early. If you are like me who prefer English anime, tomorrow is the English Dub release of AoT season 2 on Toonami. Also, the five short episodes of Sand Whale and Me is also over; you can watch all the episodes in Adult Swim site.

That’s all I have to offer today, let’s start this funny Friday!

Here are some random videos I found that I think are entertaining. Booyakasha!

Have an Interstellar Friday!

Sakura-Con news: Anime Dub and Fate App

First, Happy Resurrection Day! Second, here is some news from Sakura-Con!

I found out this news from a blogger named Takuto’s Tweet in Twitter first and then I had to check at Anime News Network to confirm it and it’s true. Feel free to check out his blog here.

At Sakura-Con, FUNimation announced that they got license to release Kyoto Animation’s anime Hyuoka. This anime is 22 episodes long and the anime director is the same person who did Full Metal Panic Fumoffu and Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid. Here is the plot for the anime:

The story follows a boy named Hōtarō who is not assertive about getting involved, but was ordered by his older sister to join the classic literature club. In the club, he gets close to the truth about an incident, involving a female member’s uncle, which happened 33 years ago. The “energy-saving” boy is joined by an inquisitive girl in this adolescent mystery.

FUNimation states that the first part of the anime will be released on July 4th in DVD with an English Dub.

They also announced another anime to join in the July release. The anime Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches will be released in DVD with English Dub. Here is the plot:

The story begins when high school boy Yamada bumps into the beautiful female honor student Shiraishi on the stairs, and their lips touch as they fall. When they regain their wits, they realize that they have swapped bodies. As time progresses, the two realize that this is not the only mysterious happening in the school.

Anime from Aniplex of America is also joining the news!

Well-known for making anime fans cry harder than Clannad and Angel Beats, the anime anohana – The Flower We Saw That Day will be receiving an English Dub. Led by voice actor Patrick Seitz (Franky in One Piece, Dio in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Isshin from Bleach), the anime already found a cast to play as the characters. It’s unknown when will the anime will be released for DVD or stream.

Aniplex will also be releasing complete Blu-Ray Sets for the anime Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic and Magi: The Kingdom of Magic for $119.98. Both sets are in English Dub and Sub with textless opening and ending songs.

Fate/Stay Go

Even though this is not another anime news but related, Aniplex of America announced that they will be releasing the app game Fate/Grand Order for U.S. and Canada. This game is well-known for fans especially since they played the JP version. Aniplex announced some updates to the game in regards to players who have access to the JP version such not being able to transfer accounts and keeping up with campaign events. The app is planned to be released in the summer but you can read the details here.
