Friday Funny 154: The Ultimate Easter Egg

Thank God it’s Good Friday! Welcome back to TGIF Friday Funny! I hope everyone is doing okay this week. As we go through this last week of March, let’s end it with bang. Recently, we had two birthdays this week. My mom’s birthday was on March 26 and my birthday was on March 28th. Thank you everyone for the comments and wishes. I had a great birthday and it was fun having a special day.

Today is Good Friday where as Christians, we remember this important Friday where our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was Crucified on this day. It was already planned by God that Jesus would be mocked and tormented and then put to death by the hands of man. However, Jesus didn’t stay dead forever because on Sunday on the sunrise, Jesus woke up and made a way for people to get to Heaven. Jesus is the Way and if you put your faith in Him, you will not die forever and you can rejoice in Heaven. Easter is on Sunday April 1st and it’s an important holiday for Christians.

Also going on this weekend, we have the long awaited sci-fi movie Ready Player One. Based on the novel and written by Ernest Cline, the story takes place in a fictional dysotpian world where players live their life in a virtual world called the OASIS created by James Halliday. However, when Halliday dies, he leaves a message to the players that anyone who finds the hidden, rare Easter Egg in the game, the winner will own the OASIS. Unfortunately for the players, a mystery organization finds out about the message and wants to find it and own the OASIS and obtain control of everything in this virtual world. It’s up to a young man named Wade Watts to work with others and save the virtual world. When I first saw the trailers, it looks like a crossover movie for many nerds because it has characters from different franchises like Back to the Future, Tracer from Overwatch, Gundam, Akira, Chucky and even the Iron Giant! I want to see this movie because of these characters and I like the idea of virtual reality. If you guys watch this movie, I hope you like it.

Let’s get started for this fun experience, players!

Here are some videos to hype you for this upcoming movie!

Bye. See you online!

Happy 24th Birthday Celebration! – My Top 5 favorite written OWLS posts

You might be wondering on Twitter, what does the numbers and pictures mean whenever I am online, this was a countdown to this amazing post and I am ready to share!

Happy Birthday to me!

Besides the music and dancing, I want to let people know that today is my birthday and I turn 24 this year. Goodbye 23 and hello 24! For my birthday from my family, I got movies Justice League and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. My birthday is on March 28th. For this special occasion, I want to do a special top 5 posts on my favorite OWLS posts I have written for the OWLS. If you don’t know, I am part of the OWLS, a special blogger group where promote self-respect and acceptance on others. We use our writings and videos and we talk about topics using media such as anime, video games or other things to help talk about awareness and importance of respecting others in real-life. As a member I take pride on doing my hardest to write out a post for a topic in hopes I can help the team. I may not do videos, but I hope I can speak out with words on papers (in a essence). So without a further ado, here are my 5 posts in which I am proud of recently. This doesn’t mean I don’t like my other writing, but I am choosing the ones that stood out the most.

5. OWLS Blog Tour: Samurai Jack – The 50 Year Treasure Hunt

This is something I thought about since this something I came up with the idea, but the Chief Creative Officer Lyn from Something from LynLyn wrote out the prompt and title which is called “treasures”. I mentioned to the group we should talk about something in regards to suicide and/or any mental illness like depression after finding out the lead singer Chester Bennington from Linkin Park committed suicide. Taking in considerations, this was approved and we all talked about in September about the importance of treasuring something important and what happens if something goes awry. Instead of anime, I talked a cartoon called Samurai Jack and focusing on the series finale of season 5. In this season, I talked about the hero Samurai Jack going through 50 years of suffering in a dark future and trying to find his way back home. I mentioned that while going through the challenges, he has thoughts and temptations of killing himself to find peace. Suicide is a serious topic because it can happen to anyone and it’s the least expected people. It’s important to be there for others and treasure something that holds us important and gives us the reason to live.

4. OWLS Blog Tour: One Piece – A man’s source of strength is a warm heart

As a way to end 2017, we did a tour about having warm feelings and how it is important to share love. I used another anime favorite called One Piece. I talked about the main character Monkey D. Luffy is a caring young man who is willing to pick fight to help a friend. Regardless to history or appearances, Luffy will fight because he cares about friends and not afraid to die trying. I mentioned that us Christians, we need to love one another regardless of appearances and it brings us close to understanding.

3. OWLS Discussion: Bleach – A “Disruptor” in the anime and real world

This is the first OWLS post I did when we first started the OWLS blog tour in January 2017. In this one, we talked about “disruptors” and how can disrupting something can actually be good. I used the anime/manga series Bleach and talked how Ichigo disrupted ideas and order. I briefly mentioned how someone like Ichigo went against the justice of the Soul Society and then reformed them and made some friendly allies with them. I was the first person to volunteer myself to start the tour.

2. [OWLS March Blog Tour] Sword Art Online: Kirito the One Man Squad

Recently made this year, for the topic of Squad and discussing what it means to have good friends, I choose Sword Art Online the second time. The first time was in March 2017 and the topic of Sanctuary. In this post, I talked about Kirito how he ended up choosing to be alone while trapped in the game Sword Art Online. I mentioned how he went through isolation and pain and briefly mentioned that he finally found someone who cares about him in the end. I also briefly mentioned about myself how I deal with being alone and then later meeting my friend Allie from Visionaries.

1. OWLS Blog Tour: Sword Art Online – Finding Sanctuary in Gaming

I made this post in last year in March 2017 where we talked about Sanctuary and finding inner peace. I used my Sword Art Online as my anime choice for the topic. I used Takuto’s posts from the Anime Cafe Blog about Leafa and incorporated his words and my own words. Using examples like Leafa and Sinon, I mentioned how when life gets hard, whenever these girls go into VRMMORPG, they escape from their problems and become free. I used my own experience with video games how I enjoy being in my own world and feeling empowered. This is a post where I feel close to and it represents how much I love anime and video games and being in peace. This is one post I really enjoyed writing and I wrote it down by heart.

Thank you

I want to thank everyone for supporting me for these years and thank to every member of the OWLS. I am happy to use my gift of writing to help support a cause and bring us together. I am willing to participate in the months where I am available and I will give my time for you guys. The people who read these posts, thank you very much for taking the time to read them and sharing it to others. Together, we can make a difference and form a friendship beyond anyone’s imagination. God bless you all.

Friday Funny 153: More fun in March!

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back to another Friday! You may or not have noticed, but we are no longer in winter and we are in spring! Say goodbye to those cold and harsh temperature like snow and chilly rains and get ready for some moderate and comfortable weather. Before we begin, I got some important news to tell you, personally. March is one of my favorite months besides Christmas not because of spring, but it is the birth month of myself. On March 28, I will be turning 24 this year. It’s time for me to say goodbye to 23 and upgrade to the latest version of me. As I reach 24, I am hoping to continue doing what I do best in my blog and express my writing. I will also be trying to continue doing my best and try to reach my goals this year. I want to make money from my blog and make this like a career. I also want to continue helping the OWLS and spread the important of self-respect. However, before we get to my birthday, get ready for my mother’s birthday on Mar, 26th. This upcoming week is going to be busy for my family.

It’s funny that if you remembered, last year in March was anniversary to the last season of the returning cartoon Samurai Jack. I think Samurai Jack season 5 premiered in March 11th on a Saturday in 2017 and it’s already been a year since it first started.

Can you believe we are reaching the last week of March? I will remind you guys again next week, but I wanted to say that as we get ready to end March, let’s look forward to April. April is going to have new stuff like movies, anime and video games. I know this month will be concluding the long time anime Dragon Ball Super. Fret not though, as the series come to an end, get ready for the upcoming movie which is dated for December 14th. You can look up the teaser trailer online.

With this said, let’s continue this Friday tradition:

Throwback Tweet:

I heard this from online that on March 28th, we will be getting DLC for Dragon Ball FighterZ. Characters like Broly, the Legendary Super Saiyan and Bardock, the father of Goku.

Here are some DB videos worth checking out I found online. I like Dragon Ball and I love video games. Give me both for my birthday lol. Here is some TFS too!

See you next Friday. Give a comment, like, and follow. Donate to my Ko-fi:

Dragon Ball news: 2018 teaser film and new app game!

It’s already been announced by FUNimation and Toei Animation, a Dragon Ball Super movie is set to be released in theaters in December 14th, 2018. Today on Twitter, Toei Animation released a teaser trailer of the upcoming Dragon Ball Super movie. The movie animation is different than the anime and it appears to have Goku against a mysterious Saiyan warrior. In my opinion, this looks like his father Bardock, but it’s unknown if it is true. The movie will be directed by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama and the story will involve about the Saiyan’s true power and Frieza is expected to come back. Here’s the teaser:

Recently Announced by Bandai Namco of Entertainment, a new Dragon Ball mobile game is set to be released this upcoming summer. The game will allow players from all over the world to fight each other online whether you are in America, Japan, Europe or other country. Sunshine Blogger Award by Let’s Talk Anime

I want to thank zboudrie for nominating me for this Sunshine Blogger Award. As always, it’s always nice to receive these awards and share everyone little things about me. Let’s begin the awards!

The Rules

  • Thank the person who nominated me for this
  • Answer the question that has been mentioned in the post
  • Post question for my nominees to answer
  • Nominate users for the Sunshine Blogger Award

The Questions

What other hobbies do you have besides blogging, and watching/reading for your blog? Like how mine is writing other writing projects and cosplay, what else do you do for fun? Do you create other things, or is this where all of your creativity comes out?

My Answer

It might be obvious to some who know me well, but besides blogging, I love playing video games. I think I am devoted to gaming. Whether I spend time playing Final Fantasy XV and grinding experience points, or I might just play a game like Sonic Mania and relieve some nostalgia in simple gaming. Games like Final Fantasy XV makes me feel for fictional characters that feel real to me and teach me the importance of teamwork and companionship. FFXV is my favorite game in the PS4 and thanks to this game, it help me make more friends in the community.

I am a casual gamer and I like to play games that looks fun. I like fighting games and venting out on the computer and showing off my skills. Games like Dragon Ball FighterZ and Dissidia Final Fantasy NT make feel as if I am strong in real life.

Sometimes I like to take challenges and see through the eyes of someone and see growth like Tomb Raider. If characters is not the vocal point, I want to freely explore my area and reach areas that seem out of bounds. Dangerous or not, I want to see it and become its master.

Games with a good story, gameplay and replay value are something interests me. If I was to blog about games, I would usually talk about reviews and tell people what I thought about a certain game or try to help people stay updated on the news.

The good thing about being a gamer is that I can be anyone. I can be a fallen hero seeking redemption, an underdog who wants to be the hero, a villain or side character helping my favorite character. I have multiple identities.

Well, you get the idea, I am gamer and I am proud to be one. If I am not blogging or responding online, I am stuck playing my games.

My Question to my Nominees

As bloggers, we write about anything we like to talk about and express our ideas and opinions. Some of us have our own writing style and schedule and we write the way that can be read easily. As bloggers or even vloggers, we can write or say about anything. However, some people don’t do anything of that and they just become our audience. Can you, a writer or vlogger, imagine your life right now if you never did blogging or vlogging? Would your life be really different?
