Remember that weird bizarre anime FLCL (Fooly Cooly)? This odd anime OVA is coming back with two seasons and currently, it’s exclusive for Toonami fans!

According to Toonami Squad, Toonami in Adult Swim along with IG Production will team up for the new seasons. The second season is titled FLCL: Progressive and it will begin in June 2nd, 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT) and the third season is titled FLCL: Alternative and it will appear in September.

Here is what each is described according to the site:

FLCL: Progressive

tells the story of 14-year-old Hidomi, her classmate Ide, and two otherworldly beings, “Jinyu” and “Haruha Raharu,” who are determined to unlock their hidden potential. Mixed up in this is an all-powerful force known as “ATOMSK,” a gorgeous vintage car… and a certain Vespa Scooter.

FLCL: Alternative

which hands the series over to a totally different team of young creators who will redefine the meaning of “sequel.” The series centers on the misadventures of 17-year-old Kana, a high school junior who spends her days hanging out with her besties, Mossan, Hijiri, and Pets. They live unremarkable lives, until the day a Mecha falls out of the sky, along with a strange woman named “Haruko.” Her plans for Kana and her friends involve the force known as “ATOMSK.” Kana will have to risk everything to decide whether or not to help… like she really has a choice!

The voice of the mysterious girl “Haruko” will be Kari Wahlgren who previously did her voice in the previous FLCL and the Japanese Rock Band The Pillows will be creating original songs and working with Adult Swim and Production IG.

FLCL: Progressive will be in June 2nd and FLCL: Alternative is in September.

  1. Well, for me it can’t be any worse than the first season (Which I have ranked as the worst anime of all time) but I still am not too hyped for it at the moment. It does look to have more of a plot though so that’s a good thing
