If you watch Toonami like me, get ready for the new series FLCL: Progressive (or also called FLCL2) this Saturday. This was announced before, but thanks to Toonami and Adult Swim, the creators of the anime got together along with the returning band The Pillows and a cast of colorful characters to give us not one, but two new anime series! FLCL: Progressive will take place after the events of the original anime. The voice for Haruko will have the returning actress Kari Walhlgren. This is not the same anime from April Fools and that FLCL anime was Alternative which will premiere later in the fall.

To help boost the FLCL hype, here is some videos!

When I first saw this anime, I was probably young like in elementary school around the same time I started seeing anime in Adult Swim like Inuyasha. I tried to get into it as a kid, but I couldn’t understand the plot. After finally seeing this anime during college, I still find this anime oddly satisfying. It’s weird and the story doesn’t make sense, but you can’t help but watch it.

Anyway, have a fun weekend!
