Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back to another episode of Friday Funny! I hope everyone is still alive and well in this summer heat. Before we begin, I am here to give you a brief recap on certain news and new news! Last week we had the San Diego Comic Con and fans were treated to some exciting news. DC announced that the movies won’t be called DCEU (DC Extended Universe) in counterpart to MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) and instead, it will be called World of DC. This means that rather focusing on trying to link the movies and series into one universe, DC can create many series without having it being canon and they are free to create any world; I believe in essence, shows like Arrow and Flash doesn’t have to be connected to movies like Justice League or have Titans be connected to any movie. DC finally revealed some awesome movies like Aquaman and Shazam! and showing off these heroes’ powers and origin story. They also revealed the trailer to the dark and edgy series Titans which shows brutal and gruesome teen heroes like Robin, Raven, Starfire and Beast Boy. However, in order to watch this series, you need to subscribe to DC exclusive streaming service DC Universe. Last but not least… we have Teen Titans Go! to the movies. This cartoon series is based on the well-known series that ended in 2006. Teen Titans Go! is a spinoff series with the returning voice actors, but in a kid friendly environment with cheesy jokes. Some fans like this spinoff while others hate it. Today is the movie release of the waffle loving team. I am not much of a fan of the spinoff, but if this movie is good from the others, I might check it out. I do prefer the previous version with the seriousness and action.
