Remember that DC movie Joker? Warner Bros and DC comics with movie director Todd Phillips are going to create a movie based on Batman’s iconic villain, the Joker. Unlike the DC movies such as Aquaman and Wonder Woman, this will be its own separate film set in a realistic world. In other worlds, it’s not part of the DCEU (DC Extended Universe) also known as Worlds of DC. The one who will play as the Joker will be actor Joaquin Phoenix. It’s been confirmed by the official website that the movie finally has an official rating. The movie Joker will be rated R for “strong bloody violence, disturbing behavior, language and brief sexual images.”
Joker comes out on October 4th 2019.
Director Todd Phillips “Joker” centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone fictional story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck, who is indelibly portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix, is of a man struggling to find his way in Gotham’s fractured society. A clown-for-hire by day, he aspires to be a stand-up comic at night…but finds the joke always seems to be on him. Caught in a cyclical existence between apathy and cruelty, Arthur makes one bad decision that brings about a chain reaction of escalating events in this gritty character study.
Are you going to watch this movie?
Yeah in all likelyhood I will. If only to see the performance of Phoenix! 😊
I heard Phoenix is a great actor who knows how to get into character. This looks very promising.
Ah, that’s good. This looks very ‘Killing Joke’ to me, so it needs the higher rating, I think. I’ll see it, but it won’t be in the cinema, simply because they’re so expensive around here.
I agree. It gives me this Killing Joke vibe. If it’s going to be like that, I will watch it. Either way, I am hoping to see it. Cinemas can be expensive. It’s best to save money and bring your own snacks lol.
LOL. We do try to sneak a few in when we go. Tickets can be such a pain too though.
Yes I can relate. Where I live, it can be hefty. Whenever I go with my fam, we try to split the fees so we can use the rest of money on concessions. Still, I should probably just save money and bring my own candies. lol
LOL. When my partner worked for the NHS, we used to get a discount that made it a little more affordable. That was a big positive. Since all the job changes here though, we’ve lost that. It’s jsut much cheaper to wait and either buy the DVD or rent from a streaming service.
I agree. Even the wait can be a nuisance, it’s better to wait and save the money to own the movie and eat whatever you want. It must been nice to have discounts lol.
It was that. Still, the films hit dvd quite quickly these days so it’s not a long wait.
Yeah they know people want to see them. If a movie sells well, they will either release the DVD fast or in rare occasion, bring it back in theaters. I was excited to buy movies like Endgame when I heard the news on the DVD.
Exactly. Even the longer waits take less time than in the days of VHS too.
Yeah. I still remember watching movies with VHS. It took time to rewind and fast forward. lol
Yup! And then DVDs came in and in some cases, scene select was listed as a special feature.
Yeah thanks to DVDs, it makes it worth selecting that specific scene in a movie and you get access to behind the scene footage.
Well, I guess that means no theater visit for me. The R definitely makes sense though as the film looked super dark right from the start.
Yeah it looks like they cranked the realism to the max. I heard they want to make this movie realistic as possible.
Hello, your blog is interesting. I will follow you in long time, because i love anime too ^^. Nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you too. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy the rest of my content. 🙂
Another thing that makes me want to see this movie is Todd Phillips. Somehow I can feel that his sarcastic directorial style in The Hangover trilogy is gonna be visible in this movie.
I’ve also written a short blog post on the movie, if you want to check it out ^.^ Cheers!

Thanks for the link I will try to check it out later. I never seen The Hangover movies to be honest lol.
Well, I can say that if you like sarcastic and somewhat explicit comedy, you are definitely going to enjoy it lol
Oh cool. I did hear the movies were like that and that’s what made them really funny.
