Remember that DC movie Joker? Warner Bros and DC comics with movie director Todd Phillips are going to create a movie based on Batman’s iconic villain, the Joker. Unlike the DC movies such as Aquaman and Wonder Woman, this will be its own separate film set in a realistic world. In other worlds, it’s not part of the DCEU (DC Extended Universe) also known as Worlds of DC. The one who will play as the Joker will be actor Joaquin Phoenix. It’s been confirmed by the official website that the movie finally has an official rating. The movie Joker will be rated R for “strong bloody violence, disturbing behavior, language and brief sexual images.”

Joker comes out on October 4th 2019.

Plot Synopsis:

Director Todd Phillips “Joker” centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone fictional story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck, who is indelibly portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix, is of a man struggling to find his way in Gotham’s fractured society. A clown-for-hire by day, he aspires to be a stand-up comic at night…but finds the joke always seems to be on him. Caught in a cyclical existence between apathy and cruelty, Arthur makes one bad decision that brings about a chain reaction of escalating events in this gritty character study.

  1. Ah, that’s good. This looks very ‘Killing Joke’ to me, so it needs the higher rating, I think. I’ll see it, but it won’t be in the cinema, simply because they’re so expensive around here.
