Pokemon Direct news: Sword and Shield Expansion Pass and new Mystery Dungeon

Announced yesterday, the official Pokemon Company announced that they will be releasing brand new Pokemon details in Nintendo’s Pokemon Direct news presentation. Today, we got some new information in regards to Pokemon video game news. If you are enjoying the recent games Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield or you are like me and starting out new, get ready for some exciting new DLC. Pokemon Sword and Shield will be getting an Expansion Pass in which players will be able to do more than what was originally given to them at the start. Players can accessorize more, returning Pokemon will join the Galar region with new forms and even Starter Pokemon will get new Dynamax forms. New areas such as Isle of Armor and The Crown of Tundra will make an appearance players will be expecting new Pokemon to battle and new trainers to fight. So far there is no news on when will this update will be released.

Last but not least, get ready for the return of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. If you don’t know what it is, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is an action-adventure RPG game where players are talking Pokemon and they work together with other Pokemon and tackle missions. The first game made its debut in 2006 and now this game will be heading to Switch this March 6th, 2020 according to the official Nintendo site. This new game will be called Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX.

  1. A new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon would have been awesome, but I guess a remake is good for those who didn’t buy it yet. I got the original a long time ago so I’ve been waiting for a fresh Mystery Dungeon. The Sword and Shield expansion was more exciting for me, that’s got a lot of potential!

    • I always wanted to try the Mystery Dungeon games. As a kid, I always wanted to go on adventure as a Pokemon. I am noticing that a lot of Pokemon games are going to the Switch instead for the 3DS. I definitely need to save up for the expansion pass.
