Friday Funny 254: A hero needs a day off

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back for another episode of Friday Funny! It’s me Matthew and I am here to deliver memes for your daily need of comedy. Can you believe that this is the last Friday of February? The last day of February will be on Saturday and since we are in a leap year, we have a total of 29 days instead of 28. This month has been busy for all of us but it was still fun nonetheless. I was able to see Sonic the Hedgehog with a friend for Valentines Day and we also got to see Detective Pikachu. Speaking of Sonic the Hedgehog, this movie made over a million dollars in these past weeks. This movie was so good, it defeated DC’s Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey. In regards of movies, we also had some anime movies this month. We had the spin-off Violet Evergarden movie last week and we had the second My Hero Academia movie this week. This month has been hitting hard some exceptional movies. What movies did you enjoy this month? Just in case you forgot, today is the official release of the anime video game One-Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows for PC, PS4 and XB1. In this game, fans can create their own avatar and make it a hero. This game will also give players the ability to play as other S-ranked and A-ranked heroes besides everyone’s favorite bald hero, Saitama. If One-Punch Man isn’t your interest, get ready for other games for March such as One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, Persona 5 Royal and My Hero One’s Justice 2. March is going to be a big month. Speaking of video games, get ready for the long anticipated games Doom: Eternal and Animal Crossing: New Horizon. Also, if you been living in the dark, every Kingdom Hearts video game from the 1.5 to 2.8 is available for Xbox. If you like Kingdom Hearts or you want to get into the series without a PS4, go and buy your games. What are you looking forward at March?

1. What are your thoughts about the paranormal?

I don’t believe in paranormal activities. I will say it does spook me, but I don’t believe in ghosts.

2. What anime, manga and gaming story that really stuck with you?

In anime, the anime that stuck with me is Dragon Ball Z. Dragon Ball Z is an anime I grew up watching and thanks to this anime, it helped me see other anime like One Piece, Naruto and Bleach. For manga, I would say Rosario Vampire. I really love the manga series and unlike the anime, the manga is pretty dark and it is action packed and the story makes me want to know what happens in the next chapter. In video games, I would say Sonic the Hedgehog. I didn’t play all the classic Sonic games but I enjoyed playing the Adventure games. My favorite Sonic game would be Sonic Adventure 2: Battle.

My favorite trait I like about myself is having determination. If there is something I want, if there is will, I want to seek out and reach for the goal. I don’t want to live life thinking what if.

Final Fantasy VII Remake news: Butterfingers x Final Fantasy VII Remake DLC offer? (US only)

Remember the time Square Enix teamed up with Cup Noodles to release an exclusive Noctis skin for the game Dissidia Final Fantasy NT? Well, here we go again but this time it is for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake. The Butterfingers Twitter announced that they will team up with Square Enix and give out exclusive downloads to US customers who buy their candy. Unfortunately, this is only exclusive for United States customers and it won’t be global.

According to the website, this Butterfinger Final Fantasy VII Remake offer will begin on March 3rd, 2020 at 12PM EDT. Anyone participating will receive content such as powerful items to use in the game and Tifa Lockhart Dynamic Theme.

Samurai Jack video game announced

Hello gamers, I got some news that might surprise you. This news came out unexpectedly, but I hope you are hyped because it involves our favorite cartoon samurai warrior. The Cartoon Network/Adult Swim cartoon Samurai Jack is back and this time it will be a video game. This new video game is called Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time and it is made by Adult Swim Games and developer Soleil Games. According to IGN, the game will take place before the final battle with Aku and Jack must travel through different timelines and defeat him. The game script is being done by the series writer Darrick Bachman and 3D art style will emulate the show creator’s style. Soleil Games is a small Japanese Developer company  made by former employees who worked on Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden. The gameplay will be a 3D hack and slash and allow players to use many melee and ranged weapons. The game will be released in summer for PS4, XB1, Switch and PC.

According to IGN, series creator Genndy Tartakovsky and series head writer Darrick Bachman will reveal more details at PAX East for Adult Swim Games’ panel on February 28th.

Friday Funny 253: More than clones, we are brothers

Thank God it’s Friday! Seriously, thank God is Friday! I hope everyone is doing well this week. If you have noticed, I haven’t been writing much here this week due to being busy at work. Rest assured to you, once things settle down, I will be happy to be here more often. I also hope everyone had a fun Valentine’s Day and President’s Day weekend. It looks like the movie Sonic the Hedgehog is becoming the most viewed and best selling movie in the theaters. It already reached over millions of dollars and it already defeated DC’s Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey. I have seen Sonic the Hedgehog and I want to say that it is worth watching if you are a Sonic fan. The voice of Sonic, Ben Schwartz, nailed it as Sonic and made him lovable and cool. Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik was silly and was great villain for Sonic. The supporting casts deserves the recognition for their hard work on making the movie good. Regardless of what you watch, whether you watched Sonic or Birds of Prey, let’s respect each other’s opinions and enjoy the movies. Changing subjects, today is the official release for the seventh season of Star Wars: The Clones Wars. This seventh season will be the grand finale of the series and it will be leading up to the Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Unfortunately, the new season will be on Disney+. If you live outside of the United States, you will have to wait until March 24th. Until then, those who have the subscription, don’t spoil the season!

Kingdom Hearts Dark Road game details revealed

Hey Kingdom Hearts fans! Remember Square Enix announcing a brand new mobile game focusing on the game’s antagonist Xehanort? We finally got some new information on this new gaming experience. It is confirmed by Square Enix that the new game Kingdom Hearts Dark Road will be joining the Union χ app game. In other words, in order to play this game, you will need to download Kingdom Hearts Union χ to access Dark Road However, according to Square Enix announced that Dark Road will be a stand alone game meaning, you don’t necessary need to play KHUX to play Dark Road. Based on the details, this game will rely on card battles and your reflexes. There is no release date for this game.

Once again, Kingdom Hearts Dark Road will be an app game for Androids and iOS users and it will focus on Xehanort and how he wanted to follow the darkness.

The End

The end of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT? No plans for any Dissidia titles?

Even some fun things have to end eventually. It looks like there are no future plans for this fighting game crossover. According to a livestream from Square Enix, the fighting game Dissida Final Fantasy NT will no longer be including anymore DLC characters and it will cease any further updates. The last DLC character to join the game was Ardyn from Final Fantasy XV. March 5th will be the last update in this will include costumes for anyone who wants to buy and download. In the livestream game producer Ichiro Hazama stated that the online will still be available for anyone who wants to play. However, he did make a comment that the online will “eventually end.” He also goes on saying that currently, there won’t be any plans for more Dissidia games. All three Dissidia NT games will be affected which is the Japanese arcade from 2015, the 2018 PS4, and the free to play PC version.

What started from the PSP to the arcade and to the PS4 and PC, Dissidia is coming to a close.

Funimation reveals English Dub trailer for My Hero Academia second movie

If you are a movie lover and you want to take a break from the Oscar movies, Sonic the Hedgehog and Birds of Prey, I have a movie that please you as a superhero fan or a My Hero Academia fan.

Funimation has just released a trailer for the second anime movie of My Hero Academia titled My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising. According to the trailer, Heroes Rising will be released in theaters for English Dub and Sub on February 26th.

Here is the plot of the movie:

Class 1-A visits Nabu Island where they finally get to do some real hero work. The place is so peaceful that it’s more like a vacation … until they’re attacked by a villain with an unfathomable Quirk! His power is eerily familiar, and it looks like Shigaraki had a hand in the plan. But with All Might retired and citizens’ lives on the line, there’s no time for questions. Deku and his friends are the next generation of heroes, and they’re the island’s only hope.
