“Scoob” movie will be VOD instead of being played at theaters

Scoob': Why WB's 'Scooby-Doo' Toon Followed 'Trolls 2' To VOD

Following the same tactics as the movie Trolls World Tour, the CGI cartoon movie Scoob will not be played in theaters due to COVID-19. However, this movie will still be released this year on May 15th, 2020. According to  Variety, Scoob will released for all digital platforms on May 15th for rental or purchase. This will apply for North America and the price of a rental will be $19.99 and for to buy is $24.99. Here is a statement from Warner Bros CEO, Ann Sarnoff:

“While we’re all eager to be able to once again show our films in theaters, we’re navigating new, unprecedented times which call for creative thinking and adaptability in how we distribute our content. We know fans are eager to see ‘Scoob’ and we’re delighted we can deliver this feel-good movie for families to enjoy while they’re home together.”

So mark your calendars for May 15th. You’ll be able to watch this movie at home or at a friend’s house.
