I know it’s late and I am sorry I didn’t get the chance to share this with you all. It’s been announced a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be getting a CG movie reboot.
According to Deadline, Nickelodeon and Point Grey Productions will be the one in charge of the upcoming CG adaptation. For the people involved with the movie we Seth Rogan, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver prodcuing the movie Jeff Rowe will direct the movie. Brendon O’Brien will write the screenplay of the movie. Jeff Rowe is well-known in works such as Gravity Falls and Connected, and Brendon O’Brien was involved with Neighbors: Sorority Rising and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.
The last CG movie these turtles was in was in 2007’s film TMNT. So far there is no news on release date.
I hope it’s good. The franchise does seem to be getting rebooted fairly regularly now though. I mean, we only recently had the Nickeloden CG series, a tie-in comic, the IDW mainline comics, then the more recent animated reboot. I do wonder how much new stuff they can do with the title this soon.
Yeah this franchise has been busy and we been seeing a lot of different versions. As far as I know, they are busy with the Nick show and the comics. It’s been a while since we had a CG movie of them. I wonder if it will be good and better than the Michael Bay versions.
I never watched the Bay films in the end. I saw a few clips but they seemed like they weren’t really for me.
I saw them. They’re pretty okay, but I prefer the classic movies.
I still watch the classic ones now and then. I think that was part of what put me off the new ones though; I was hoping for something similar and they just didn’t seem to be that.
Yeah I saw they wanted to do something different and change up the formula. Each Turtles are different and that is what makes them unique.
