Friday Funny 280: To be excellent, you must let loose!

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back for another episode of Friday Funny! It’s me Matthew and I am here to give you a post filled with random memes. Before I begin, I got some movie news for you. It’s been a while since I did a post featuring some memes or themes related to a movie ever since COVID-19 hit us and we got delayed movies. Today we got two new movies released in theaters; we are getting The New Mutants and Bill & Ted Face the Music. The New Mutant is a movie that has been pushed back by multiple times for many reasons. From Deadpool 2 and Dark Phoenix to the Disney-Fox merge deal, this movie has been having issues of trying to appear on the screens. As far as I know, despite the world being a mess with COVID-19, this movie will finally be in theaters today. If a Marvel movie is not your interest, try this classic return of these dynamic duo. If you are a fan of Bill and Ted in the movies, get ready for Face the Music. This is the third movie of the Bill and Ted movies and it will have the returning cast Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves. If you are tired of watching movies at home and you want the feeling of normality, go and find these movies at your local theaters and reserve your spots. Besides these news, this past weekend we had DC FanDome event. Fans got to see teaser trailers for movies such as The Suicide Squad and Black Adam and official trailers such as Justice League: The Snyder Cut and The Batman. We also got to see new upcoming games such as Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Gotham Knights.

56-58. Marvel 80 Years Spider-Man (Hot Topic exclusive) and Vulture. Deadpool (Diamond/Hot Topic exclusive)

I bought three Marvel figures from Hot Topic. As a retro fan, I went and got some 80 years version of Spider-Man and the villain Vulture. I previously tried to get Spider-Man from one of my orders where I got Mortal Kombat’s Sub-Zero and Scorpion, but apparently there was issues on getting Spider-Man. Spider-Man is my favorite character in Marvel and no matter what year it is, Spider-Man still dons the classic red and blue clothes. I like Vulture’s deign here too. It’s not modern like the Homecoming movie, but I do like the simple design of his green feathered costume. The cool thing about these figures is that the boxes show the comic book in which they made their debut; Spider-Man appeared in Amazing Fatasy #15 and Vulture was in Amazing Spider-Man #2. Besides Spider-Man, I also love Deadpool. This version of Deadpool has a glittery appearance and position. Deadpool is lounging around with diamond glitter.

59. Kingdom Hearts Sora (Lion Form) [E3 2019 Limited Edition]

For a limited edition figure, I got him for a good price at GameStop. This version of Sora originated in the game Kingdom Hearts II where Sora traveled to the Pride Lands and helped Simba fight the Heartless. As much as I really love this figure, I was also disappointed with GameStop. I bought this online and I had it delivered to the house and when I opened the package, this figure box was slightly damaged and bent. I wished GameStop would handle my stuff properly. At least my figure wasn’t damaged at all.

I have a total of 59 figures.

Friday Funny 279: Intermission! Let’s go to the snack bar!

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back for another episode of Friday Funny! It’s me Matthew from Matt-in-the Hat and I am here once again to give you free memes. These memes are totally free, but it doesn’t include popcorn nor candy. The reason why I made this title was because on Aug 20th, the AMC theaters reopened and movie tickets was the price of 15 American cents for one day. If you were free on that day, you could have watched classic or popular movies such as Back to the Future, Black Panther, The Empire Strikes Back or Sonic the Hedgehog. Did you go to the movies? Speaking of movies, if you live in Canada, you might have already watched the movie SpongeBob SquarePants: Sponge On the Run in theaters. While the movie is available in Canada, Americans like us will have to wait until 2021 for the movie release or at least a video on demand. Disney’s Mulan is back and will be played this year, but in Disney Plus. If you are willing to spend $30, you can watch this action packed movie at home. In other news, in the world of anime on the internet, the free anime viewing site Kissanime has been killed off. Anime fans who watched free anime subbed and dubbed online will no longer be able to watch their shows for free and will more than likely have to use other methods such as subscriptions or DVDs. Tomorrow on Toonami, get ready for two DC animated movies! Tomorrow we have the anthology movie called Batman: Gotham Knight. This anthology has 6 animated shorts and each were done by animation studios including Madhouse and Production I.G. and much more. We are also getting the final part of The Dark Knight Returns.
