Anyone remembered the controversial news with Funimation and Interspecies Reviewers? It looks like Rightstuf will be the hero for this “steamy” anime. During a panel with Rightstuf, a retail website well-known for selling anime, manga and other sorts of merchandise, at the Virtual Crunchyroll Expo, Rightstuf made an announcement that shook the news for anime fans. Besides releasing a blu-ray set for the classic anime the Irresponsible Captain Tylor, Rightstuf obtained the rights to release the anime Interspecies Reviewers. This anime will have the Critical Mass label on the package; Critical Mass is mostly adult themed anime. Both these anime will be released in 2021.

Happy to see that this series found a home somewhere. Licensing issues with anime can be messy and irritating, leading to a lot of disappointment for viewers who don’t want to resort to pirating. Though prices on some of these Blu-rays are still outrageous.
Yeah I remembered a lot of people was ready to hate on Funimation after they dropped the series. Still, I wonder how many people are going to be willing to pay for the blu-ray collection. At least in a way, people won’t have to resort to pirating to see this anime. I remembered even after Funimation dropped this anime, they also tried to prevent people uploading anime in adult sites.
