Jessica Jones' & 'The Punisher' Not Expected To Return At Netflix

This might be good news for some who enjoyed these characters and their Netflix shows. According to the news from IGN, Marvel released a report stating that they have regained the live-action rights to the show and characters of Marvel’s Jessica Jones and The Punisher. Only these two characters was the only ones so far that Marvel got back. There has yet to be any news of Daredevil, Luke Cage or Iron Fist returning to Marvel. Including the mentioned shows, Jessica Jones and The Punisher were both superhero TV shows exclusive to Netflix. When Disney announced that they would create their own streaming service, Marvel and Netflix decided to cancel all of their Marvel shows which was Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Defenders. The contracts and the shows was officially cancelled in 2019. With this news, it could be possible to have Jessica and Punisher reappear in the MCU.

Big Hero 6” And Capturing That Old Marvel Magic” | by Finding The Wrong Words | Medium

Looks like we are about to get more superheroes in the MCU. It has been reported that the superhero team Big Hero 6 will be joining the MCU world. However, unlike Disney’s 2014 version of Big Hero 6, the characters from the animated movie will not be reprising in live action. Rather, the plans for the MCU version of the superhero team will be based on Marvel’s 1998 comic series Big Hero 6. Just because Marvel will adding the team in the MCU world, don’t expect to see the animated characters such as Hiro and Baymax, but instead look forward to the classic and original versions of the characters. This is not the first time Marvel decided to make a movie focusing on an obscured team of heroes. In 2014, Marvel Studios gave us Guardians of the Galaxy movie and it became a hit.

While  we may not get the Mandalorian this year, that doesn’t mean you should cancel your Disney Plus account because Disney will be giving us something to watch in May. On May 4th, get ready for the next Star Wars series adventure called Star Wars: The Bad Batch which will exclusive be streamed on Disney Plus. The first episode is on May 4th, but the second episode will be on May 7th; new episodes will be aired on every Friday. Even though you might have finished the The Clone Wars series, there s more adventures with the Clones.

Subsequent episodes will premiere on Fridays. The series follows the elite and experimental troopers of Clone Force 99 (first introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch, as they prefer to be called — a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army — each possess a singular exceptional skill, which makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch is executive produced by Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian, Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Athena Portillo (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels), Brad Rau (Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars Resistance) and Jennifer Corbett (Star Wars Resistance, NCIS) with Carrie Beck (The Mandalorian, Star Wars Rebels) as co-executive producer and Josh Rimes as producer (Star Wars Resistance). Thanks to the game company Aspyr, video game company well-known for porting other Star Wars games like Star Wars Jedi Knight I and II, the video game Star Wars: Republic Commando will be heading to modern consoles on April 6th with the price of $14.99 (depending where your home country). This game was first launched for Xbox and PC for 2005 until 2018 where players can play this game on Xbox One for backwards compatibility. This is will be the first time this game will jump to Playstation and Nintendo.

The game follows an elite squadron of genetically modified clone troopers who embark on specialized missions during the conflict – and asks players to control the squad alongside traditional first-person shooting.

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back for another hilarious post featuring yours truly. It’s me Matthew and I am here to give you another episode of Friday Funny. I hope everyone had a good month of February because this is the last full week of the month and after this weekend, we are in March.  Personally, I am looking forward to March for reasons being. Before we begin, let’s go over some exciting news today. Today is the movie release of Tom and Jerry and this one is live action. Making the jump from TV and DVDs, Tom and Jerry will enter our world and create chaos. This movie will be in select theaters and it will be free on HBO Max for limited time. If you love cartoon violence and want to watch something silly and entertaining, go check out this movie. While you enjoy the latest episode of WandaVision, be prepared for upcoming Marvel shows. In March, we are getting The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and it’s been revealed that the Loki series will be on Disney Plus in June. This Saturday in Toonami, get ready for the return of Food Wars. Since Assassination Classroom season 1 is over and there has yet to have news on airing season 2, Food Wars will cover this time slot. Last but not least, it’s been revealed by Marvel Studios that Spider-Man 3 movie has been giving the official name. Following with the Home name series, the new movie is called Spider-Man No Way Home. This movie is planned to be released this year in Christmas and it’s part of the Phase 4 movie series.

If you are a Kingdom Hearts fan, you might know this app game and the expanded story of Kingdom Hearts. The game Kingdom Hearts Union χ Dark Road is game for iOS and Android devices in which players can create their own character take part of the keyblade history before a time where main Sora got involved. The Dark Road storyline tells the story of the young man Xehanort and how he would later become the antagonist of the Dark Seeker Saga.

According to the official site, after having the game run online for 5 years and giving fans and gamers a fun time, Kingdom Hearts Union χ Dark Road will be ending its service this year. Starting after February 24th, players will be unable to make in-app purchases for jewels; existing jewels can still be used after this date. In March 30th (6 p.m. PDT)/ March 31st (1:00 UTC), the game will officially end the service. This means gamers will not be able to play with the online functions nor make in-app purchases. However, the company behind the game told fans to not delete their save data because there are plans of an offline version of the game. By May 30th, Kingdom Hearts Union Cross will be available for offline usage and this will allow players to play the story. In September 2021, there will be an update for Dark Road where instead of playing the game, players will be able to watch the story in theater room mode.

Demon Slayer: Mugen Train movie limited screening in Miami! Academy Award Nominee?

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba THE MOVIE Mugen Train

It’s a good time to be a Demon Slayer fan, because it looks we are getting close to having the anime film Mugen Train close to theaters besides Japan. According to Crunchyroll, the anime movie Demon Slayer: Mugen Train is planned to be released in theaters in North America starting at Miami, Florida. For limited time only starting February 26th for one week, fans of Demon Slayer will be able to watch this movie on the big screen. Reason being that they are doing this for this one week is to ensure that the anime movie will take part in the 93rd’s Academy Awards. Demon Slayer: Mugen Train still has plans to be released in theaters for the public but in a later time.

Demon Slayer: Mugen Train opened in October 16th 2020 in Japan and it became the highest grossing film and it had the biggest opening weekend in Japanese theaters. This film will be opening as well in Australia and New Zealand in February 25th. This along with other animated movies such as Pixar’s Soul and anime movie Lupin III: The First will be taking part at the Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature selection.

MCU news: Spider-Man 3 title revealed! Loki series launch date!

After waiting and getting fooled more than once, Marvel Studios finally unveiled the title of the next Spider-Man movie. Revealed via social media, a video featuring the star actors Tom Holland, Jacob Batalon and Zendaya discussing the movie’s titles. While the internet assumed the movie was going to be called Phone Home, Home Slice and Home Wrecker, it was revealed that these titles were fakes and meant to joke with fans. Officially, movie director Jon Watts confirms that the third Spider-Man movie is called Spider-Man: No Way Home. This movie is set to be released in theaters on Christmas of 2021. This movie will be part of Phase 4 along with other titles such as Black Widow, Shang-Chi and The Eternals.

While you are enjoying WandaVision and preparing to watch The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, I hope you didn’t forget this villain, Loki. It was mentioned before that the TV series Loki is set to be released on Disney Plus in 2021. It has been revealed online that the Loki series is set to be launched on June 11th this year at Disney Plus.

Taking place after the events of Avengers: Endgame, Loki gets involved with TVA, Time Variance Authority. TVA is a bureaucracy that governs and patrols many realities.

January 2021 Funko Pop Haul (+ December 2020)

Hey everyone this is Matthew from Matt-in-the-Hat and I am back once again to share with you another post showcasing my Funko Pop figure collection. There is no doubt that I am huge Funko Pop collector. With January already over, I am here to tell you what new figures I collected in the first month of 2021. Sit back and relax and let me tell you the history on how and where did I get these well-known artifacts.

December 2020

81. Hercule from Dragon Ball Super

This is embarrassing and I am not talking about this joke character from Dragon Ball Super. It turns out by the time I took this picture of this figure, I got him in New Years Eve. This was supposed to be in my December 2020 post, but I guess I overlooked my pictures. I got this figure as a Christmas gift from my friend and fellow brother in Christ, Ezra. He knows I love Pops and he knows my favorite anime is Dragon Ball. This character I have is named Hercule and he is a joke character. He is just a human who acts like the strongest warrior in the universe despite actually being the weakest hero. On TV, his name is Mr. Satan and he is a rich celebrity warrior who convinced the world that he has defeated the powerful enemies like Cell and Majin Buu. However, he is just a ricj guy who is friends with Goku and his friends and takes the spotlight for the media. He is also the father of Videl who is married to Gohan, he is the son of Goku.

82+83. Lea from Kingdom Hearts III and Wonder Woman in Golden Armor from WW84 (Walmart exclusive)

I got these figures while shopping around Walmart. I was buying a Casper cartoon collection DVD and I needed help getting free shipping. The first thing I picked was Lea from Kingdom Hearts III. After regaining his memories, Lea returns back to life after dying as Axel in Kingdom Hearts II. He came back in Dream Drop Distance and he later learned to wield a keyblade in which he would train with Kairi and prepare for the final battle with Xehanort in KH3. Unlike the figure I got from January 2020, this Lea figure doesn’t have his keyblade. In case you didn’t know, the voice who does Lea/Axel is Quinton Flynn who is well-known for voicing Reno in Final Fantasy VII titles (except for Remake), Raiden from Metal Gear series, Henry in No More Heroes 1 and 2 and even Sheldon from My Life As a Teenage Robot.

As someone who likes exclusive figures, I decided to get Wonder Woman. Based on the movie that came out on Christmas of 2020, WW84 or also called Wonder Woman 1984 is the sequel to 2017’s Wonder Woman movie with Gal Gadot returning as Wonder Woman and saving the world during the 80s. Based on this figure, Wonder Woman dons a shiny golden armor which allows her to fight incredibly strong enemies and this armor was worn by another previous, powerful Amazonian warrior. This Walmart exclusive is pretty cool and I am surprised it was pretty cheap.

84. Venomized Groot from Marvel’s Venom series (Glow in the Dark Hot Topic Exlcusive) + T-shirt bundle

I seen this Funko Pop bundle many times whenever I window shop at the Hot Topic site. After giving into my temptations, I decide order this Pop bundle. This bundle or combo pack comes with a box resembling a comic book set, but inside it has the Pop figure of Groot and a t-shirt. The shirt has Groot possessed by the alien symbiote and saying “We Are Venom” instead of saying “I am Groot”. The shirt also resembles the front page of a comic book. The figure itself is pretty cool. I didn’t really much on the glow in the dark features, but I like how menacing Groot looks. Instead of a friendly look tree, he looks like a vicious man-eating plant. The shirt felt nice and it made me feel like a cool nerd.

Mortal Kombat movie: First photos of Sub-Zero, Jax, Liu Kang, and more - Polygon

Not to be confused with the 1995 version, it has been revealed this weekend by Warner Bros that they released a trailer for the upcoming movie called Mortal Kombat. Unlike the previous movies from 1995 and 1997, this movie will be rated R and it will follow closely to the violent fighting video game series. I can only show you the censored version of the movie, but if you are over the age of 18, you can watch the ultra violent red band version of the trailer. Mortal Kombat is set to be released in theaters in April 16th, 2021 on HBO Max and theaters.

Revealed on Valentine’s Day, Warner Bros released an updated trailer for the upcoming movie Justice League. Directed by Zach Snyder, Snyder gives fans his perspective on this 2017 movie in his image. After the events with Batman v Superman, Bruce Wayne must gather the power of superhumans in order to prevent a global threat. Without Superman, Bruce will not only have to rely on his Batman identity, but with others such as Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash. These heroes must work together to face the dangerous warrior Steppenwolf and the approaching threat, Darkseid. This movie will be four hours long and it will be rated R. Actors will reprise their roles as well as Jared Leto who previously played the Joker. The movie is set to be released on HBO Max on March 18th, 2021.

Thank God it’s Friday! How’s everyone doing today? It’s me Matthew and I am here to once again share with you another episode of Friday Funny. Before I dish out today’s memes, here is some quick news for you. I am going to be quick in this news, but it’s been five years since we got the Puppy Monkey Baby commercial from 2016’s Superbowl. Besides that, Warner Bros released a new trailer of the director’s cut of Justice League this past weekend. We got to see extended scenes and new clips that are brand new to us and we got a new and improved Joker from Jared Leto. In Disney’s side of news, they been having some rough times. First off, Disney shuts down Fox’s animation company Blue Sky Studios. This is the same company that made movies like Ice Age, The Peanuts movie and Robots. Another side of bad news, Disney and Lucasfilms fired The Mandalorian actress Gina Carano due to her posting content related to the holocaust and Nazi in her Instagram. Disney didn’t like how open she was and they decided to remove. This actress will not be involved with anime Star Wars spinoff projects and there is no plans for recasting her character Cara Dune. Last but not least, we got some Nintendo news. Nintendo announced the next DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. If you like Xenoblade Chronicles 2, get ready to be excited because characters Pyra and Mythra will be joining the game.
