News broke out yesterday and I have unfortunately have to inform everyone that manga author Kentaro Miura has passed away. Revealed through the official Berserk Twitter, Kentaro Miura passed away on May 6th due to an acute aortic dissection. He was only 54. Miura was born in 1966 in Chiba City and by age 10, he was inspired to write manga. In age 18, he became a manga artist assistant and worked with George Morikawa who created Hajime no Ippo. In 1988, he created his first draft of Berserk at Nihon University and in 1989, he revised the first chapter and published it.

It’s unknown what’s going to happen for the Berserk manga, but Miura’s work helped inspired fans and gave them an exciting story.
