This may not be a video game, but this news does feature video game characters. Announced from this week’s Nintendo’s Direct conference, Nintendo announced movie plans for an animated Super Mario Bros movie. The Super Mario Bros. animated movie will be worked on by animation company Illumination, well-known for creating Despicable Me, Minions, The Secret Life of Pets and Sing. The movie will be released during the Christmas season next year on December 21, 2022. Here is the voice cast for the characters:

- Jack Black as Bowser
- Keegan-Michael Key as Toad
- Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong

Hopefully this animated movie will be worth watching next year.
Me too. Knowing that it’s going to be done by the creators who did Despicable Me and Secret Life of Pets, it could be a fun story to watch.
Illumination did do the Lorax and that new Grinch movie, based on those books by Dr. Seuss.
Yeah and they did the Secret Life of Pets and Sing too. I need to watch Sing.
