Funimation News: My Hero Academia and One Piece movies premiere dates!

Summer is over and this means Fall is here. As we enter the last few months of 2021, Funimations plans to go all out this year with more anime movies. Besides Sword Art Online Progressive, get ready for two Shonen Jump titles to appear on screen in a city near you.

Just like the previous movies, My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission is coming to theaters all over the world. It’s been announced by Funimation that the third My Hero Academia movie will be coming to theaters outside of Japan. Depending where you live, the movie will be in theaters on October 28 and 29 for English Dub and Sub.

  • October 28: Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa
  • October 29: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Ireland

Screenings for Scandinavia, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, and Peru will be shown in a later time.

synopsis:

The film follows the super-powered cast of student heroes, with a focus on Deku, Bakugo and Todoroki, as they work to clear Deku’s name and take down a dastardly organization bent on global havoc. Equipped with some seriously cool stealth suits, can our heroes save the day once again?

One Piece

What better way to celebrate the 1,000 episode of One Piece with a movie.

One Piece Strong World

With the collaboration with Toei Animation and Fathom Events, Funimation will be bringing back the movie One Piece Film: Strong World to theaters. For two days, fans can relieve or experience the iconic movie in theaters. The movie will be in theaters on November 7 and 9; November 7 will have the movie in English Dubbed while the 9th will be English Subbed. That’s not all! Fans who watches the movie will also be able to watch the 11th movie One Piece: Mugiwara Chase.

One Piece Film Strong World is the 10th movie in the One Piece series. What makes this movie iconic is because this movie was created and helmed by One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda. Mugiwara Chase is the 11th film and it’s a 3D CGI film. According to the One Piece Wiki, this movie’s runtime is 30 minutes long and it was featured along with another movie called Toriko 3D: Gourmet Adventures.
