One Piece
What better way to celebrate the 1,000 episode milestone of One Piece is to announce a new movie. Toei Animation announced recently that there is plans for another One Piece movie. In a teaser, the movie is called One Piece Film Red.
Based on the visual and teaser, Goro Taniguchi will be directing the movie. Tabiguchi directed the anime series Code Geass and he first directed the One Piece short anime One Piece: Defeat Him! The Pirate Ganzak in 1998. The short was premiered in Japan’s Jump Super Anime in 1999. Tsutomu Kuroiwa will return to write the screenplay for the new movie. Kuroiwa previously worked on the movie One Piece Film Gold. Eiichiro Oda will be producing the movie with Toei Animation.
One Piece Film Red will be in Japanese theaters in August 6th, 2022.
