Friday Funny 354: Ugandan Knuckles vs Italian Tifa

TGIF!

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back for another episode of Friday Funny. It’s me, Matthew from Matt-in-the-Hat and I am here to give you memes in which I took from iFunny. I steal memes because I am a bad guy and I don’t apologize. I hope everyone is doing well and trying to stay safe from the covid virus. This is the last Friday of January and next week is February. February is going to be Superbowl and Valentines Day. In case you missed it, if you been watching Toonami on Saturdays, One Piece has returned to Toonami. If you like One Piece, jump into the pirate fun. Another anime joining Toonami is going to be Shenmue the Animation. Based on the video game, this anime will be joining the schedule along with One Piece, Naruto Shippuden and others. In case you are wondering, what is up with the “Italian Tifa” title, it’s all because of a technical blunder that occurred in an Italian political meeting. While having a Zoom board meeting, someone uploaded an NSFW fan animation of Tifa Lockhart during the press conference. Ever since that incident, fans are making memes about her and saying she’s the icon mascot of Italy. Tifa has dethroned Mario for Italian game character. While Tifa is known as the strongest woman in Final Fantasy VII, the internet will remember her for the embarrassing lewd video which occurred in Italy.

TGIF!

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back for another episode of Friday Funny! This is me, Matthew and I am here to give you a dose of funny memes for your Friday and to help enjoy your weekend. Before we begin this episode, let’s go over some quick news. Revealed at the NFL playoffs, we got a reveal trailer for the upcoming Marvel TV series Moon Knight. Actor Oscar Isaac takes up the role of the white cloak vigilante. The story involves a guy named Steven Grant who deals with blackouts and memories of another life shared with mercenary Marc Spector. While Steven struggles with his identity and with his mercenary identity Marc, he will get involve with an encounter of Egyptian gods. The series will be on Disney Plus on March 30th, 2022. We’re going to start March with DC’s movie The Batman and we’re ending the month with Marvel’s TV series Moon Knight. In the gaming news, Microsoft buys Activision-Blizzard. Just like Bethesda, Microsoft went and bought another big franchise. They got the rights for games such as Overwatch, Tony Hawk, Call of Duty and even Crash Bandicoot and Spyro. It’s unknown what’s going to happen next, but this is a power move on Microsoft.

December 2021 Christmas Funko Pop Haul

Greetings and Happy New Years to everyone! As of now we are in 2022! I hope everyone had a good Christmas last month and a Happy New Year celebration. You would think with the Christmas season, I would be spending crazy on Funko Pops. However, surprisingly I will tell you what I got in the last month of December.

131+132. Sherlock Deadpool (GameStop Exclusive) and Barista Deadpool

I got these two as Christmas gifts from my best friend Ezra. He knows I like Deadpool and I collect Pops. Once again, as a way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Deadpool, I got more variants of the red merc. In this GameStop exclusive, I have Sherlock Deadpool. I don’t know how the mind works with Deadpool, but if he is a detective, I hope he can solve the biggest crimes in Marvel. I wonder he is smarter than DC’s Batman. The other figure I got is the Barista Deadpool figure. I guess when Deadpool isn’t causing trouble in the Marvel Universe, he’s serving coffee to customers. Not sure if he got a part time job at Starbucks or he is working at the café in the Friends show. This Deadpool somehow grew a beard and moustache and got his earlobe stretched. If he ever changes his mind on those earlobes, I hope his powers can heal himself.

That’s all I got from 2021. I have a total of 132 figures.

Friday Funny 352: Wake up, San Francisco 2022

TGIF!

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome everyone for another Friday Funny episode. I hope everyone is doing okay in the second week of January. A lot has happened these past few days and some were good and bad. In the good of news, Attack on Titan final season, part 2 has been started and fans are exceedingly enjoying the anime. The anime has been so anticipated that reports from Crunchyroll that the site had some crashes because of the online activity. It doesn’t help too since fans are watching Attack on Titan and a new episode of Demon Slayer. In bad news, we lost another celebrity and he was a former host for America’s Funniest Home Videos and in both series Full House and Fuller House. Comedian and actor Bob Saget died this past weekend. First we lost Betty White in the end of 2021 and now we lost Bob Saget in the first few days of 2022. I hear it’s been a tough few days for some since people are getting sick from Covid and dealing with the cold and the flu. I may not have the cure for these sick ailments, but I can at least prove you some memes to laugh and share.

I think we need a good laugh.

Here is some TV intros. Cheers to Betty White and Bob Saget:

Anime News: AMC Networks purchases Sentai Studios?

See the source image

If companies like Sony can buy Funimation and Crunchyroll, other companies can try. In recent news, the TV studio AMC Network has purchased Sentai Studios which includes the anime distributer Sentai Filmworks and even the streaming service HIDIVE. Here is the statement from them regards to the purchase:

“With strong industry relationships and access to key content creators in Japan, Sentai distributes and curates one of the anime industry’s most diverse libraries of top trending and classic titles, with its content available on Crunchyroll, Hulu and Amazon Prime, among others. Sentai’s HIDIVE streaming service represents a strong new addition to AMC Networks’ portfolio of fast-growing targeted offerings.”

So far based on the reports, Sentai will still continue to produce anime as usual, but it looks like AMC Network is going to help spread out anime in their department in a way like how Sony works with Funimation and Crunchyroll. The business of AMC and Sentai will depend on the sales and how it handles the content.

Friday Funny 351: Lost Episodes

TGIF!

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back for another episode of Friday Funny! I hope everyone is off to a good start of 2022. Before we begin, I got an announcement for anyone reading this post. I am extending my Friday Funny posts and creating special episodes titled Friday Funny Lost Episodes. The purpose of these Lost Episodes will be like a regular Friday Funny post, but it won’t be on Fridays and it instead will be on random days. If for whatever reason I miss out on doing these Friday Funny episodes, expect a late episode the day after or much later. The reason why I decided to introduce this idea is because this past weekend on New Years Eve, I lost WiFi on the weekend. I wasn’t able to talk to anyone here or any other social media until Sunday night. It got me thinking these past days, what if I lose WiFi again and I can’t get back online until days later and I am forced to skip out on Friday Funny. Or, what if something happens in my personal life (emergencies, or something beyond my power) and I don’t have time to create these episodes. If I can’t post a Friday Funny episode on Friday, expect a lost episode the following day and then I’ll get back into track. That’s the announcement. In other news, actress Betty White died in New Years Eve and she was the age of 99. Sony’s movie Marvel Morbius will be delayed again and will release on April 1st of this year. In case you forgot, Disney Plus is releasing new episodes of The Book of Boba Fett every Wednesday.
