Friday Funny 363: Morbius, the Plasma Sucker

TGIF!

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome everyone for another episode of Friday Funny! I hope everyone is doing alright. Before I start the funny episode, let me put a disclaimer. This is episode is going to be all funny and I won’t make fun of you, so please don’t walk up and slap me like Will Smith at the Oscars. Now with that said, let’s go over some news. Disney Plus has start streaming the TV series Moon Knight. There will be a total of six episodes featuring this chaotic superhero who may look like an Egyptian ghost mixed with Batman. Now that we’re in April, let’s go over some movie news. Today is the next Sony-Marvel film Morbius. Playing as Michael Morbius also known as the as the Living Vampire, it will be Jared Leto. In case if you forgot, Jared Leto once played as the Joker in DC’s movies Suicide Squad (2016) and Zach Snyder’s Justice League (2021). In this movie, Morbius is a doctor who wants to help cure incurable diseases, unfortunately for him, he learns that a cure must be more deadlier than a virus itself. While experimenting, Michael becomes a vampire who must live on blood and hide in the dark. What makes this movie interesting is the easter eggs and cameos in the trailers. Based on this scenes, we have Raimi’s Spider-Man on a poster, but it says “Murderer”. The Oscorp building from The Amazing Spider-Man movies is visible and the kicker is that Adrian Toomes/The Vulture from MCU Spider-Man: Homecoming is back and he meets Morbius. Last but not least, one of the characters mentions that things haven’t been this crazy since San Francisco and the fact Morbius says “I am Venom”. Which Spider-Man universe does Morbius belong in? Speaking of Spider-Man, Spider-Man: No Way Home is expected for a home video release on April 12. Coming out next Friday, we have the movie Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Paramount has some big plans for Sonic and his friends as it was mentioned online that a Sonic Cinematic Universe is expanding and it won’t be chronologically in order based on the games.

Ko-fi

Let’s have a laugh, no hitting please!

Can you believe that this movie was supposed to come out in 2020?

What do you think about Morbius in the Spider-Man Animated Series?

I played the Wii version, but you can fight Morbius in the game version of Spider-Man 3. Tobey Spider-Man vs Morbius:

Enjoy your weekend and have a good laugh!
