In case you didn’t know, anime voice actor Billy Kametz has been diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer. Billy uploaded a video this Tuesday about his condition and what was he experiencing the past weeks.
According to the video, he was experiencing pain on his left shoulder blade, had trouble going to the bathroom and keep food in his body. After getting tested and scanned at the hospital, Kametz is undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Due to the circumstances, Kametz has taken a break from doing voice acting in his work in order to take care of himself. This also means that he will be replaced in the second season of The Rising of the Shield Hero. Originally, Kametz voiced the main character Naofumi Iwatani in the first season. The new voice of Naofumi is going to be Stephen Fu.
If you want to help Kametz, you can share his GoFundMe campaign and you can also donate. I’ll leave the link here so you can check it out: Billy Kametz GoFundMe Page

He’s made a wise decision anyway. To retire from acting anyway. Colon cancer can be a drag. Just like what happened to Chadwick Boseman. Besides, he never told us about that until his death. Not to mention he was that black panther man as fans mourned him.
