[Manga news] DC manga joins DC digital comic subscription

One Operation JOKER Archives - Bounding Into Comics

If Marvel can give us Deadpool Samurai, DC comics can do the same with Superman, Batman and the Joker. It’s been reported that three Japanese DC manga will be coming to English release on the DC Universe Infinite platform. Much like Marvel’s comic subscription, Marvel Unlimited, DC Universe Infinite allows users to pay a subscription to read digital comics from DC and Vertigo. Here is the three DC manga that will be localized for English readers:

  1. Joker: One Operation Joker
  2. Batman: Justice Buster
  3. Superman vs. Meshi

These three new manga will be available first on digital via subscription. The print version of the manga will be released later this year in 2023.

Joker: One Operation Joker

Joker: One Operation Joker

Joker: One Operation Joker is the Joker like you’ve never seen him before…as a single father?!

After a fateful encounter with Batman that results in the Dark Knight de-aging to a baby, Joker takes it upon himself to raise the child into the crusader of justice! But does the Clown Prince of Crime really understand what it means to be Batman—or, more importantly, what it means to raise a baby all by yourself? Joker: One Operation Joker is written by Satoshi Miyagawa (Uchuu Senkan Tiramisu) with art by Keisuke Gotou.

Batman: Justice Buster

Batman: Justice Buster

In Batman: Justice Buster, Gotham City has been under the protection of Batman for only a short amount of time, but since the vigilante’s appearance, crime has changed. It’s gotten more bold, more destructive.

As Batman tries to rise to meet these new threats, he develops a computer system, ROBIN, to help him analyze and subdue the rising criminal tide and hopefully one day put an end to crime in Gotham.

Batman: Justice Buster is written and illustrated by Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi (Ultraman).

Superman vs. Mesh

Superman vs. Meshi

It’s hungry work being Superman! That’s why every day for lunch in Superman vs. Meshi, Superman makes a quick stop over in Japan to try a new chain restaurant. Whether it’s a hearty bowl of curry or conveyor-belt sushi, the Man of Steel loves to indulge in the delectable delicacies the country has to offer. He’ll even share a meal with the other members of the Justice League from time to time in the hopes of showing them an incredible culinary experience.

Superman vs. Meshi is written by Satoshi Miyagawa with art by Kai Kitago.

[Manga news] Kubo Won’t Let Me Invisible manga enters final arc

Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible Reveals New Poster - TrendRadars

If you thought My Hero Academia and Black Clover was one of the few manga to enter the final arcs, get ready for another contender from this slice of life series. Announced in the 10th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine, it’s been reported that Nene Yukimori’s manga Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible will be entering the final arc of the story. The next chapter titled “Confession” will be released on February 9th.

First year high schooler Junta Shiraishi is a mob character who goes unnoticed even when he’s standing right next to you. But his classmate, “heroine-level beauty” Kubo, always notices him and is there to tease him. Anyone can become special to someone, but it might be a little too early to call these feelings “love.” Perhaps this story is still two-steps from being a romantic comedy–let’s call it a sweet comedy where a background character becomes visible!

The manga is currently licensed by Viz Media and the anime can also be streamed on HIDIVE. The anime is currently on hiatus due to the staff getting contacted by COVID-19 and the anime will resume on April.

Friday Funny 407: Sword Art Online is NOT the worst anime of all time!

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back for another episode of Friday Funny. It’s me, Matthew from Matt-in-the-Hat. I am here to give you hot memes and juicy news. Here we are in February and this month is going to be a big one despite this month being 28 days. In my blogging news, I wrote a spoiler-free review on Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 1. Check it out and I plan to do a spoiler review later this month. In other news, Disney Plus has just added Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on their streaming service. If you are like me who missed out on seeing on theaters, you can now watch it in the comfort of home, work or at a buddies’ place. Speaking of movies, this weekend is the anime theater premiere Sword Art Online the Movie: Progressive – Scherzo of Deep Night. Taking place after the first film, Aria of the Starless Night, the main characters Kirito and Asuna and the surviving gamers are fighting their way through the floors in order to beat SAO. Along the way, they come across powerful dungeon bosses and even encounter PK players. PK players are gamers who goes out of their way to kill other players. Kirito and Asuna must work together if they want to survive. Scherzo of the Deep is the 4th volume in the light novel in the Progressive series. Speaking of anime news, if you been watching anime on Toonami, Yashahime is going to be ending season 2 this weekend by airing two episodes in one whole hour. Also, speaking of anime and video games, if you play Fortnite, it’s been revealed that Gohan and Piccolo from Dragon Ball has entered the game. Now you can play as either Gohan or Piccolo and defeat Goku, Vegeta, Deku, Naruto and Sasuke. When are we getting Demon Slayer, One Piece and Bleach?

February is starting out good. Let’s make this weekend epic!
