Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2: One-Hour Special Episode! Release  Date & Plot

Summer is about to get hot and I’m not talking about 4th of July. Already announced before, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War concluded part 1 of the anime, and part 2 is set to be released in the summer. Recently from this Memorial Day weekend, Viz announced the release date for part 2 of the anime. Bleach: Thousand-Year War Part 2 – The Separation is set to air on July 8, 2023. Just like part 1, Bleach: TYBW won’t be streaming on Crunchyroll. If you live in the U.S., you can watch the anime on Hulu.

Pac-Man 99 will be shutting down from Nintendo Switch Online this fall

If you are a fan of Pac-Man and you enjoy battle royale games, you might want to enjoy this game as much as you can, because Nintendo is planning to delist this title off the market. Nintendo Switch Online will be shutting the online game Pac-Man 99. Not only they plan to make this game inaccessible, but players will also no longer be able to get the DLC in the market. The game will officially end the service on October 8, 2023 at 9 PM PDT. Nintendo also announced some specific dates in which the game will soon beginning the process of termination.

  • August 8: custom paid themes will be discontinued.
  • September 8: Discontinued content like Pac-Man 99 Deluxe Pack and Pac-Man 99 Mode Unlock.
  • October 8: Discontinuation of the online game and all content will be unavailable to download.

However! Players who buys the Deluxe Pack and/or Mode Unlock will still be able to play the game offline. This includes CPU Battle Mode, Blind Attack and Score Attack. Anyone who buys any of these packs will be able to redownload the game and its content.

[Anime News] Demon Slayer Swordsmith Village arc English Dub announcement

Great news for Demon Slayer fans, your Memorial Day weekend just got hotter than ever. According to the anime streaming service Crunchyroll, Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc or also called Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc is getting an English Dub. The first episode of the English Dub is set to air online on May 28. The arc will get new episodes every Sunday at 10:45 a.m. PT. The English Dub is currently set to air on the Crunchyroll site.

It’s not much of a spoiler if everyone heard about the news about the Pokémon anime on social media. In case you didn’t know, the latest Pokémon anime, Pokémon Ultimate Journey: The Series, ended in Japan and what made it iconic is the fact that this is the last time we’ll have Ash and Pikachu as the main characters before jump into the new anime, Pokémon Horizons. Recently announced, the next batch of episodes of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys will be on Netflix on June 23rd of this year. The episodes will be in English Dub and it will have the last episodes featuring Ash and Pikachu.

If you enjoyed the RPG game One Piece Odyssey, there is more adventure for the Straw Hat crew in this upcoming DLC.  On May 25th, Bandai Namco will launch the post-game DLC titled “Reunion of Memories”. Taking place after the events of the main story, Luffy and his friends return to Waford and must fight new enemies such as Whitebeard, Mihawk and Enel.

After completing ONE PIECE ODYSSEY’s main storyline, Reunion of Memories will send Luffy and the Straw Hat Crew back into the depths of Waford. As players embark on a new journey, they will encounter familiar and renowned figures rooted in ONE PIECE canon such as Mihawk, Perona, Enel, and Whitebeard, who will help or hinder the Straw Hat Crew from truly escaping Memoria, the world made from their memories. 

DLC will be released on May 25 and it’s going to be taking place after the main game. Be sure you complete the story.

[Manga News] Viz launches Viz Reading Subscription App

Great news for manga digital readers, if reading your manga from the Shonen Jump app isn’t enough to satisfy your reading experience, Viz has more to give for their otaku readers. Announced this week, the English company of manga and anime Viz Media launched a brand new manga reading service called Viz Manga. Unlike the Shonen Jump app which has titles such as One Piece, My Hero Academia and Chainsaw Man, Viz Manga will include Viz owned manga such as Inuyasha, Komi Can’t Communicate and Junji Ito’s Uzumaki. For $1.99 a month, you’ll be able to read your favorite series on the go and on your computer.

[Video Game News] Marvel Midnight Suns won’t be available for Switch users

Nintendo may have Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, but they will be missing out on the Midnight Suns. Companies 2K (Publisher) and Fireaxis Games (Developer) announced on the Midnight Suns website that a planned Nintendo Switch port of 2022’s Marvel’s Midnight Suns has been scrapped and will not be available for Switch users. As of now, despite being released for PS5. Xbox Series X|S, and PC, the game will be available for the PS4 and Xbox One on May 11th of this year. At the moment, there is no specific reason why the sudden change for cancellation for the Nintendo port. In regards to the release date, the companies announced also that this is the same time where the fourth DLC will also be released at the same time. Players will be able to play as Storm in this DLC. Storm is the fourth character to be added to the game along with Deadpool, Morbius and Venom. Do you still plan to get this game? According to IGN, this game received an 8/10 on their review.

Twitter No More: Twitter ends auto-share on WordPress’s JetPack Social

If you are a blogger like myself, you probably got an email from the official team of WordPress and the parent company Automattic.

The WordPress News page wrote a post about their reasons why are they ending their Twitter auto-tweet function. In case you didn’t know at the time, Bloggers could link their Twitter accounts to WordPress and whenever you write a post. you will automatically tweet your recent post. Bloggers could write their posts on WordPress’ app on the JetPack app on your mobile device. However, with this recent news from the team, Automattic will no longer provide auto-tweeting for JetPack. Due to a disagreement on the pricing and the changes of terms and conditions, Automattic decided to end the Twitter API. However, the team announced you can still share your posts via with Twitter on the desktop. Automattic will also be adding the ability to share your work with Instagram and Mastodon. For now, you can still auto-share with Facebook, Linkin and Tumblr.

Banished From The Heroe’s Party reveals second season’s key teaser visual

If you enjoyed this anime from 2021, get ready to see your favorite characters once again this exciting (or quiet) adventure. In case you didn’t know, the anime series Banished from the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside, got the green light and will be getting a new season. The official key visual was released online showing the main characters, Red, Rit and Ruti, in the center of the image. The first season of the anime was aired in Japan in 2021 on October and then later Crunchyroll streamed the series to the world. So far there is no release date yet, but the anime’s new season is in the works. The anime series is based on the light novel created by Zappon (author) and Yasumo (illustrator). According to Crunchyroll news, the anime was directed by Makoto Hoshino at WolfsBane and Studio Flad. The show’s series composition was led by Megumi Shimizu, the music was composed by Yukari Hashimoto and the anime’s character designer was done by Ruriko Watanabe.

After being betrayed by the Hero’s party, Red hopes to start anew by opening an apothecary in a small town. He wants to keep his past life secret, but it won’t be easy…especially when a beautiful adventurer from his past asks to move in.

[Anime News] Pokemon voice actor James Carter Cathcart retires due to cancer

If you been a fan of the Pokémon anime, you might heard of James Carter Cathcart. Cathcart is well-known for voicing Pokémon characters such as Professor Oak, Gary Oak Team Rocket’s James and Meowth. He’s also well-known for voicing other characters from different anime like Vector the Crocodile from Sonic X and Weevil Underwood from the classic Yu-Gi-Oh! series. After 25 years of voicing characters in anime, Cathcrart is retiring from his job. Reason why is because it was confirmed by his wife, Martha Cathcart, who wrote in a health journal at the CaringBridge site stating that her husband has cancer. According to the journal, Cathcraft has been going through treatments for his cancer; however, the treatments wasn’t responding to the cancer. Medical reports stated that he has a tumor on his tongue and it’s developing around the neck. As of now, the journal mentioned that the medical team will be undergoing an aggressive chemotherapy for Cathcraft. The procedure will begin on May 1st. Cathcart last role in the Pokémon anime was in season 25 in Pokémon: Ultimate Journeys. His wife wrote about this news in correlation to the upcoming Pokémon anime Pokémon: Horizons, “He has been with the series since the 1st episode, so it is a timely decision as the series transitions to new characters and storylines.”
