Remember the random short anime FLCL (Fooly Cooly)? I got some exciting news for you! It’s been announced that the sequel FLCL: Progressive will be heading out on DVD this fall. According to the news of Comic Book, FLCL: Progressive will be on DVD on October 1st, 2019. FLCL: Progressive is the sequel to the 2001 FLCL anime. The DVD will include special features which talks about the creators of the anime and the music band “The Pillows”.
Remember the fifth season of Samurai Jack where the cartoon got dark with elements like blood violence and suicide? Well, get ready to see some violence and action because Samurai Jack creator Genndy Tartakovsky is back and this time, he is making a cartoon Adult Swim fans. The cartoon is called Primal. It’s unknown if it’s going to be a movie special or TV series, but you can bet that Tartakovsky will be working on this project. If you don’t mind the violence, this may be for you. Primal will be on Adult Swim in the fall 2019.
Genndy Tartakovsky is an animator, director and producer in animation. He worked on cartoons like Samurai Jack, Dexter’s Laboratory and 2003 Star Wars: Clone Wars. He also directed the family movie trilogy Hotel Transylvania. He was this close to directing a Popeye movie, but Sony scrapped it and we ended up getting The Emoji Movie.

Remember that weird bizarre anime FLCL (Fooly Cooly)? This odd anime OVA is coming back with two seasons and currently, it’s exclusive for Toonami fans!
According to Toonami Squad, Toonami in Adult Swim along with IG Production will team up for the new seasons. The second season is titled FLCL: Progressive and it will begin in June 2nd, 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT) and the third season is titled FLCL: Alternative and it will appear in September.
Here is what each is described according to the site:
tells the story of 14-year-old Hidomi, her classmate Ide, and two otherworldly beings, “Jinyu” and “Haruha Raharu,” who are determined to unlock their hidden potential. Mixed up in this is an all-powerful force known as “ATOMSK,” a gorgeous vintage car… and a certain Vespa Scooter.
which hands the series over to a totally different team of young creators who will redefine the meaning of “sequel.” The series centers on the misadventures of 17-year-old Kana, a high school junior who spends her days hanging out with her besties, Mossan, Hijiri, and Pets. They live unremarkable lives, until the day a Mecha falls out of the sky, along with a strange woman named “Haruko.” Her plans for Kana and her friends involve the force known as “ATOMSK.” Kana will have to risk everything to decide whether or not to help… like she really has a choice!
The voice of the mysterious girl “Haruko” will be Kari Wahlgren who previously did her voice in the previous FLCL and the Japanese Rock Band The Pillows will be creating original songs and working with Adult Swim and Production IG.
FLCL: Progressive will be in June 2nd and FLCL: Alternative is in September.
