PSA: Watch out for possible shooter at Anime Expo!

Anime News Network

This is a warning to all anime fans and/or visitors who are going to Anime Expo. You may have been alerted but I want to bring this up for attention for safety reasons.

Thanks to sources like Twitter and my blogging friend Joseph from Scorpzgca, this news is pretty important. his picture above is a young man named Alonzo Rodriguez who recently wrote in a text message that he commented on threatening this upcoming Anime Expo. In the messages, he comments that this kind of convention is “asking for a high school shooting.” This message has already been notified by the LAPD and Anime News Network has already reached out to panels and companies be on high alert.

Anime Expo begins on July 5th to 8th. If you are going to Anime Expo and if you see this guy, don’t approach him! Instead, go and get help from the police and report him. We can’t let anyone get hurt or lose someone dear to them.

AX News Announcements

If you have been unable to go to Anime Expo like me but you have been following the news, I will be announcing some exciting news in which may peak your interest. Just a heads up, if I missed anything, please comment down below and leave links so people can be informed as well. I won’t be able to get every news so feel free to help expand.

Aniplex of America

At the panel Aniplex of America announced that they will be releasing the home videos of the both anime Fate/Grand Order: First Order OVA and Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga.

Preoders will begin on July 5th for Fate/Grand Order: First Order OVA with the store price of $69.98 for Blu-Ray. The anime will be have English Sub and Dub, a booklet, soundtrack and other extras. Here is the synopsis:

The year is AD 2017
The last era in which magecraft still thrived.
The Chaldea Security Organization was founded to focus on preserving the continuation of human history. They observe a world which magecraft couldn’t observe and science couldn’t measure all to prevent the certain extinction of humanity. But one day, the future that Chaldea continued to observe disappears and humanity’s extinction in 2019 becomes clear. Rather, it had already happened.
The cause seems to be related to Fuyuki, a provincial town in Japan, in the year AD 2004. There, an “unobservable region” that had not existed before appears.
Based on the assumption that Fuyuki is the reason for humanity’s extinction, Chaldea issues an order to explore, investigate, and possibly destroy this singularity – a quest for the Holy Grail: the Grand Order.

Also announced is Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga. Aniplex will release the anime in two sets with the option to pay for DVD or Blu-Ray sets. The first set will be released on November 14, 2017 and the second set will be on February 13, 2018. The DVD will be priced as $29.96 and the Blu-Ray will be $59.96. The sets will each have bonus content. Here is the anime synopsis:
Assiah, the realm of humans, and Gehenna, the realm of demons. Normally, these two dimensions would never intersect, but having possessed all material substances, the demons are now intruding on the material world. But among the human race, there are those who can exorcise such demons—the exorcists.

Rin Okumura kept the fact that he was Satan’s offspring a secret from everyone and decided to become an exorcist. He began his training at True Cross Academy but following the incidents involving Amaimon’s raid, his lineage became apparent. Fearing his true nature and the blue flames marking his connection to Gehenna, Rin’s classmates all distanced themselves from him. Friday Funny 63: A Sparking Weekend!

TGIF! Thank God it’s Friday! In this episode, we have another busy but fun filled weekend. Today is the beginning of the next convention called Anime Expo 2016, or sometimes short for AX2016. The convention begins today and the last day is on July 4th. The convention will also be held in Los Angeles, California. I don’t live in LA but in California, let me warn you that it will be hot. Make sure to drink plenty of fluids and be careful on walking through large crowds. Don’t forget to check out the booths like Weekly Shonen Jump or Aniplex of America to obtain exclusive goods. This post was going to be dedicated to Sonic the Hedgehog because his birthday was on June 23rd, but I think it will wait until next time. Don’t worry Sonic, I won’t forget you ;).

Speaking of anime, the series Blue Exorcist will return for another anime series next year of 2017! It’s time to go back to True Cross Academy and fight Satan!

If you not into anime or manga but you still want to do something special on Friday, today is the movie release of “The Legend of Tarzan”. It’s not from Disney, this was done by Warner Bros. I never read the books but this movie could be based on the novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs.  The movie will have actors like Alexander Skarsgård, Marogot Robbie and Samuel L. Jackson.

July 4th, obviously, is Independence Day or 4th of July! It’s the time where people celebrate the day when the Declaration of Independence got signed and we got our rights of freedom and liberty. On this holiday, have fun and enjoy the fireworks but be careful. Don’t play with fire and protect your animals from loud noises.

So without further ado, let’s begin this hot weekend!!!

What better way to end this post with this anime song. United States of Smash!

Have a Happy 4th of July!!!
