Inu X Boku SS is going out of Print!

https://steemitimages.com/DQmQRyYvi4gTa6zM4k6Vw3HYC3juwodGsF5jEg4ZrDhdYjq/unnamed.jpg

Do you want to buy affordable anime? Are you interested in watching a romance Shonen series? I got some good and bad news for you. Sentai Filmworks is selling the anime Inu X Boku SS the complete collection for $14.99 for Blu-Ray. That’s the good news, the bad news is that this anime is going out of print. This is not the first time this has happened before. More than likely, this is probably because the license to this anime is expiring and it is shared with Sentai and Aniplex.

This is what the synopsis is described:

Ayakashi Kan: a mysterious condominium, widely believed to be haunted, where every resident is required to have a personal bodyguard, or Secret Service agent. When the socially inept Ririchiyo moves in, all she’s looking for is a little peace and quiet and some practice at inter-personal communications. However, she quickly discovers that her bodyguard Soushi might not just be foxy; he might actually BE a fox – a fox spirit that is. In fact, all of Ayakashi Kan’s residents, and their agents, are more than they seem at first glance: each and every one of them has both human and non-human ancestors. But that’s okay, because Ririchiyo does too! Welcome to the weirdest, wackiest mansion in town where no one is entirely human and mayhem is the order of the day, in INU X BOKU SS!

Are you planning to buy this anime? If you seen this anime, would you recommend it?

anime re-release for Blu-Ray lovers! Inuyasha and Sword Art Online II!

Image result for inuyasha

Howdy partners! If you like watching anime and you want to experience a story in rich animation and high definition surround sound, I got some exciting news to share. I hope these anime in Blu-Ray is better than Funimation’s Dragon Ball Super Broly version. Accounced by Viz, the classic action-adventure romance story Inuyasha is coming back in a Blu-Ray set. The first Blu-Ray set will have 27 episodes (1-27). If you haven’t started your collection yet or want to get the Blu-Ray counterpart, you can buy your copy in this year fall.

Even though this one anime gets criticism, it is still loved by fans. Aniplex of America announced that they are planning to sell Sword Art Online II in a complete Blu-Ray set. You can pre-order this copy at Rightstuf for about $160. The anime covers all three story arcs from the light novel such as Phantom Bullet, Calibur, and Mother’s Rosario. It’s unknown if Aniplex is planning to sell the regular DVD collection like the first set. The bonus content is unspecified but this set is scheduled for release on September 24, 2019.

Out of Print news: A-Channel leaves Sentai Filmworks

https://www.anime-planet.com/images/anime/screenshots/a-channel-3709-1.jpg

Bad news fans, it looks like we’re losing another anime title because of the license of Aniplex. It’s been announced yesterday that the anime A-Channel: The Animation is leaving Sentai Filmworks.

If you haven’t got this anime and you want to buy it, get this anime on the lowest price.

Sentai Filmworks synopsis:

OUT OF PRINT NOTICE: This title is available on the store until 4/30/19 or while supplies last. Don’t miss out!

Toru and Run have been best friends forever, so when Toru learns that she’s managed to get into the same high school as Run, she runs to tell her… only to find Run in a compromising position with yet another girl, Yuko. Needless to say, that makes things a bit awkward at school, with Toru fending off those who might be interested in Run while Yuko and their other girlfriend, Nagi, have to deal with Run’s own penchant for drama. But it’s not all angst all the time, and as the school year progresses the four girls and their many classmates find time to laugh, play and figure out how to handle the unexpected problems life likes to throw at them. Like bugs in the house, accidentally giving each other horrible haircuts, freezing up at karaoke or forgetting to put your underwear on in the morning. When it comes to learning about the real world, there’s always something ‘educational’ to be found in A-CHANNEL: The Complete Collection.

Out of Print?! No. 6 is on sale

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1153/3888/products/no6_BD_grande.png?v=1540918403

Need something to buy for Christmas like a stocking stuffer for your cart? I may have the solution to your problem. I got an email from Sentai Filmworks that the Shonen-Ai (or yaoi) series No. 6 is on sale as low as $9.99 for Blu-Ray. At first, I thought it was letting me know to shop since Sentai Filmworks is well-known for cutting down prices for the Christmas holiday, but after looking at the cover, there could only be one good reason why they are telling about this particular anime: Aniplex. The email I got told me that this anime is going out of print! I don’t know much about this anime, but I know the manga is licensed by Kodansha, same team who does the Attack on Titan manga and A Silent Voice. I did hear that the main male characters have romantic feelings for each other. According to the wiki, it doesn’t say Yaoi, but it feels more of a Shojo or Shonen-Ai series. Here is what the plot is described by Sentai Filmworks:

In a near future world after the last great war, most of mankind now lives in a handful of city states. There, for the privileged elite, life should be perfect. But for young Shion, the only thing perfect has been the nightmare his life has become since letting a strange boy called Rat spend the night in his apartment. Banished to the outskirts of the city and stripped of all privileges for helping the mysterious stranger who has since disappeared, Shion now finds himself in even worse danger as his inquiry into a new series of mysterious deaths results in his being arrested on suspicion of murder! But even as Shion is being sent to the city’s Correctional Institute, the long missing Rat reappears to rescue him! Now, on the run, the two young men have only one chance at survival: uncover the mysterious secrets that lie at the sinister heart of No. 6!

So if you are someone who wants to save an anime licensed by Aniplex, get this one! If you want a male-male relationship series, get this one! If you want to save money and try a new anime, get this one!

Sword Art Online news: New OP/ED songs, episode 10 controversy, Netflix uses fan art?

Sword Art Online Alicization has been getting a lot of attention lately and some of the reasons are mostly controversial and some minor good. Let start with the good news.

Good news

It’s been announced that there will be a new OP and ED song for the next episodes of Sword Art Online: Alicization. The OP for this second part of the anime is RESISTER by ASCA. The ED will be forget-me-not by ReoNa.

Bad news: Episode 10’s response

I am late in joining the series and I need to get started on this series, but recently, episode 10 of Sword Art Online got really dark. If you guys thought episode 1 of Goblin Slayer was too dark because of violence and rape, well you might get bothered in this episode. Episode 10 of Sword Art Online: Alicization contained some extreme violence and even sexual assault in which warned anime viewers ahead of time to those watching in Crunchyroll. This anime had to get it censored in some platforms such as Crunchyroll. The one in charge of censoring and editing the specific scene is from Aniplex of America.

This episode was described as one of the most violent and uncomfortable episodes that even Sword Art Online creator Reki Kawahara wrote to the voice actors on Twitter saying sorry that they had to perform this scene.

Reki Kawahara:

“Ms. Ishihara, who plays Tiese, and Ms. Kondo, who plays Ronye, both performed a painful scene with aplomb. Thank you so much! And I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.”

Here is the response from one of them:

Reina Kondo:

“Thank you! I think that everyone became stronger because of the experience! I will continue to work hard alongside Ronye. I’m looking forward to what happens next.”

I haven’t seen this episode, but I will say sexual violence like this does make me feel uncomfortable, but it’s something that we can’t deny that it’s real. There is someone that commented on the video comparison saying something about this scene:

Monta Anik: “This scene is just realistic. This is the world we live in. And the author is only showing it. Many people abused of women because of their noble rank. I called this episode: Hard reality of the old time”

Yes, I will admit, Kawahara does add this stuff in his works from the first season of SAO in the Fairy Dance Arc, SAO II with Sinon and now this. I can agree with this person that the reason he put these stuff in his works to show the scary reality that there are some people who wants to take advantage of the weak. In episode 10, we see high ranks people tormenting women and trying to get what they want because they think they’re better. I am not saying that this is true for everyone, but what I like about Reki Kawahara is that he doesn’t hold back on the truth. Does it make you feel uncomfortable? Yes, but it’s something to be aware of in reality. Other than that, if you think this episode was dark or even this anime, do not watch Beserk, Helssing Ultimate or Goblin Slayer.

Netflix

If you think that stealing someone’s art was bad, imagine Netflix using someone’s art for their shows. I am not sure if it’s already taken care of, but based on an article by ANN, Netflix apparently used someone’s fan art as a banner for the anime Sword Art Online. The picture was taken by a user and identified the art by Keeta from their Pixiv.

I don’t know the situation right now, but Netflix is trying to resolve this issue.

Rurouni Kenshin: New Kyoto Arc *Spoiler Review*

Sentai Filmworks description:

Although she’s only sixteen and looks even younger, Misao Makimachi is already a skilled and competent member of the Oniwabansh? ninja clan. Which is a fortunate thing for Misao, as her onimitsu talents may be all that keeps her alive when a journey in search of the leader of the clan, Aoshi Shinomori, leads her instead into a face-to-face encounter with an even more dangerous man and a plot to overthrow the Meiji government!

91st Post Streak!

* Warning: It will have spoilers and this includes the story arc which will be taking place. If you have not watched the Kyoto Arc in season 2 of the original anime or read the manga, the review is going to be heavily spoiled.
