Whether this is good and bad news, fans was surprised to hear that Spider-Man will be in the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers video game. Unfortunately, Spider-Man will be exclusive for Playstation owners who own either the PS4 or PS5 in 2021. Fans have been wanting to know how will Spider-Man be affected in the story of Avengers and how it affect owners of the Xbox, PC and Stadia owners. In a interview with the creative director Shaun Escayg and combat director Vince Napoli discussed how will Spider-Man play within the Avengers story. In the interview, Shaun mentioned, without any spoilers, Spider-Man will fit into the story and the game’s world. Some story plots hint that he could be involved within the gaps of the story during A-Day and to current time. Vince mentioned that Spider-Man will be the “cherry on top” in the game’s story and gameplay and it won’t affect the main story. Overall, Spider-Man in Marvel’s Avengers will be self-contained and it won’t affect the game’s overall story. Spider-Man will be a fun addition to Playstation owners.
So far it’s unknown if this Spider-Man will be the same version from the Playstation exclusive game or it will be an original for Avengers.
I got some good and bad news for anyone who is planning to get the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers video game. Good news, it’s been announced by Crystal Dynamics that another DLC character will be joining the Avengers game. Red and blue web head Spider-Man is coming to Avengers. Spider-Man is expected to join Avengers in 2021 for free! However, there is bad news to this Spider-Man news. Spider-Man will be playable for Playstation owners (PS4 and PS5). If you want to play as Spider-Man in 2021, you need a PS4 or a PS5 to get this character. It’s unknown if this is the same Spider-Man from 2018’s Marvel Spider-Man game or it’s going to be an original Spider-Man made by Crystal Dynamics. It’s also unknown if he is going to play a role in the story such as like Hawkeye. How do you feel about this news?
If you were skeptic about Square Enix’s game Marvel’s Avengers, maybe this new trailer will convince you.
Yesterday on July 29th, Square Enix did a livestream for a second War Table news showcasing the upcoming Beta in August. In my previous article about Avengers, a beta is coming to digital stores for gamers who pre-ordered the game or others who didn’t.
- Aug 7th: PS4 (Pre-orders only)
- Aug 14th: Xbox and PC (Pre-orders only). PS4 (Open Beta)
- Aug 21st: Open Beta for all systems.
In the trailer, gamers will be able to download and access the game’s beta and experience the chance to play Avengers before it comes out on September 4th. According to the trailer, players will be able to play a few mission stages from the game’s story such as having the opportunity to fight Abomination. The missions available will be for anyone who prefers solo and co-op gaming. Players will only be able to play as four confirmed characters such Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow and Kamela Khan (Ms. Marvel). Also revealed, players will have full access to unleash Iron Man’s ultimate weapon, the Hulkbuster. Teased in the first War Table trailer, the Hulkbuster is an ultimate attack for Iron Man and this gives players the ability to don the heavy hulkish machine and smash your way through enemies. The Hulkbuster is available in the beta.
Released on the same day, Square Enix revealed that a new character will be joining the game as a post release. Avengers marksman Hawkeye is will be joining the game. According to IGN, Hawkeye will be free of charge and he will have his own set of missions in the story. He will be available for players for solo and co-op missions. Unlike the other Avengers characters that resemble the movie actors, Clint Barton appearance, according to the trailer, is based on the a collaboration with Matt Fraction-David Aja from the comic “My Life as a Weapon” Variant #1. To anyone that wanted Hawkeye in the game, you can finally get the chance to play as him; he will be free.
What do you think about the updates and the beta? Who do you want to play as in this game?

I got some news that may upset you but it might also be good news if you want these games. Today, Square Enix announced that the upcoming remake classic Final Fantasy VII Remake will not be released on March 3rd, but instead will be pushed back in April 10th. In a statement, the team apologize for the news, but they mentioned that they want o polish the game and make it a fun experience for anticipated fans.
Final Fantasy VII Remake for PS4 will be released on April 10th.
From a different branch of Square Enix, Crystal Dynamics also shared some news for their upcoming Marvel license game Marvel’s Avengers. In a statement made online, the upcoming Avengers game will be released on September 4th instead of May 15th. Marvel’s Avengers will be released for PS4, XB1, PC and Stadia for Sept 4th.
Welcome back to another exciting game news! 2020 is going to be an exciting year for video games and Square Enix is working hard to give fans what they want. Teaming up with Marvel, Square Enix will be releasing the game, Marvel’s Avengers. This game will give players the ability to play as Captain America, The Hulk, Iron Man, Thor and Black Widow. Today, it’s been announced that a new character will be joining the game as a playable hero. Joining the game is Kamala Khan also known as in the comics, Ms. Marvel. With her polymorphic powers, she will team up with the Avengers and defeat bad guys such as AIM. This game will come out in May 15, 2020 for PS4, X1, Steam and Stadia.
If you want superhero action and you are not sure if the upcoming Avengers video game will be worth your money, check out these videos from the folks of IGN. IGN was able to get some gameplay footage of the video game from Gamescon. In these videos, players will able to play as the five Avengers (no love for Hawkeye?): Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Black Widow. This game will be available for PS4, X1, PC and Stadia in May 2020.
Which Avenger do you plan to play as? I think I might enjoy playing as Captain America and Black Widow.
Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back to another awesome Friday! It’s yours truly, Matt-in-the-Hat! I hope everyone is having a cool summer. Summer is here and you know what this means… it means fun! Get ready for summer sales in video games such as Steam Sales or PSN games. If you see an expensive game on sale, take the plunge and go for it! From June 30th to all of July we have an epic anime sale which will take up 32 days at the anime shop Rightstuf. It’s been 32 years of this online shop and thanks to them, it made it easier for fans to shop from anime DVDs, manga, merchandise and even video games. Last but not least, we have movies! If you thought Toy Story 4 (I seen it and I like!) and Men in Black International isn’t enough, get ready for July. July, we getting Spider-Man: Far From Home, a movie in which takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame and it’s the official conclusion of the Infinity Saga. We also have the live-action movie The Lion King. The Lion King is considered one of the best Disney animated movies of all time and in my opinion, it’s better than Frozen. But for now, we have the return of the insanely popular movie Avengers: Endgame. This movie is back for a limited time, but what makes this movie great is that this movie will include a post credits scene and a tribute to the fans. Stay after the credits! I promise this is the last time, but last but not least, I hope you have Netflix because we got some new movies and anime joining. We have the slice of life movie A Silent Voice, an anime movie all about redemption and if you like to cry, go check it out. We have Sony’s amazing animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse which was an awesome movie in 2018 and it defeated movies like the Incredibles 2 and Ralph Breaks the Internet at the Oscars. We also have the classic anime Neon Genesis Evangelion with an updated new voice cast. You can now rock hard to the song Cruel Angel Thesis.

Let’s do it Avengers! (I won’t give you heavy spoiler memes)
Here are some videos to give you an exciting weekend. Don’t get sunburned!
Greeting gamers! This is Matt-in-the-Hat and I am here to give you an update on the anticipated video game Marvel’s Avengers. It was announced last week that Square Enix has teamed up with Marvel Games to create a project video game called Marvel’s Avengers. In this game, players will be able to play as the heroes Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Black Widow. The game will have an original story and players will be able to play online with each other and use the characters. However, in regards to online, there might be a catch. Besides having microtransactions, it is very unlikely that players won’t be able to play online in the story/campaign. According to game news DualShockers, they recently heard from IGN that Marvel’s Avengers story mode will be for solo players. There is no full details yet, but the game will likely have a secondary mode where players can join in and play together and do missions. Still, I will do my best to give you more updates. Marvel Avengers will be released in May 15th, 2020 for PS4, X1, PC and Stadia.
