Dragon Ball game news for FighterZ and Xenoverse 2

Good news Dragon Ball and gamer fans! I found some interesting news from the videos and words of Bandai Namco!

Dragon Ball FighterZ

If you want to spice up your gameplay with music, I got some awesome news. Released in a video, Bandai Namco is allowing players another anime music pack for Dragon Ball FighterZ. This second music pack includes songs from the anime like the second opening of Dragon Ball Super, Genkai Toppa X Survivor and from the movie Battle of Gods, Hero. This is the second music pack and the first music pack has songs from the classic Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z anime opening songs.

In case you missed out, Bandai Namco released a free update to expand on your gaming pleasures. A free November update was announced and this gave players more options on ways to have fun. Players can create their own rules in regards to tournaments. From playing only as Yamcha to invisible health and energy gauges, you can play whatever suits your taste buds.  You can unlock trophies and display it from your matches and you can even customize your lobby with seasonal costumes for your avatar or play any BGM you want.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Announced from Bandai Namco, get ready for more characters to join the fight. Already announced in the movie, Gogeta is arriving in the video game Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and it will appear as SSGSS Gogeta from Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Also showing up as DLC is Super Saiyan Full Power Broly from the same movie. These two characters will be part of the fourth DLC Extra Pack. Also coming in, but free, is a Broly wig and Santa Clause outfit for your custom character. The Tournament of Power stage will also be playable.

Maximum Dragon Ball Video Game News: Xenoverse 2 and Jump Force!

Hello Dragon Ball fans, I bring you some exciting and delicious news for gamers who loves Dragon Ball. Here’s the big dish of hearty news!

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Announced today, as part of the DLC Extra Pack 4, Broly is joining Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. However, this Broly is based on the anticipated movie Dragon Ball Super: Broly. It may be a DLC, but Bandai Namco also also announced of a free update and players will be given new costumes. Players will be able to dress up in a Santa Clause outfit and even get a Broly wig for your custom character.

Jump Force

Move aside Saiyans and evil overlords, make way for two tough brutes. It’s been announced that Jump Force will be adding two new characters from the Dragon Ball universe. Joining the heroes side is the once former villain and currently ally is Piccolo, Earth’s Namekian warrior. Joining the villain side is the perfect android Cell. Cell was the main antagonist for the Androids Saga in the anime and manga. The video game is expected to be released on February 15th, 2019 for PS4, X1 and PC. Here is the following playable roster (Light Yagami and Ryuk from Death Note are in this game, but not playable):

One Piece World Seeker release date reveal

Great news from yours truly of Matt-in-the-Hat! It’s been revealed by Bandai Namco that we finally got a release date on the upcoming anime video game One Piece: World Seeker. In a video trailer, Bandai Namco revealed that One Piece World Seeker will be coming out on March 15th, 2019 for PS4, X1 and PC. The game was once going to be released this year of 2018, but the game got delayed in order to clear some bugs and give fans the One Piece experience. The trailer also revealed some gameplay and instruction on how to fight with Luffy’s powers and his Haki and the how to get strong as you travel around the island. The trailer also revealed some pre-order bonuses. Pre-ordering the standard version gives players two DLC costumes for Luffy and a mission. Those who wants to go beyond the standard can try and buy the “Gum Gum Bundle”. The Gum Gum Bundle can only be purchased through the Bandai Namco shop site. The bundle comes with a Luffy figurine, game season pass, soundtrack and a replica of the Gum Gum Fruit.

Guest Character 2B joins Soul Calibur VI as guest character

Looks like Ivy is going to have some competition because a certain popular female game character is going to be joining Soul Calibur VI. If you guys are enjoying Geralt from the Witcher series, get ready for the YoRHa android fighter 2B. the character 2B will be another DLC character and will be the second guest character for the newly released Soul Calibur VI game. So far, there is no release date for the DLC, but players who buy her from the DLC individually or in the season pass will be rewarded with her alternate costume, weapons, BGM and armor pieces.

Jump Force releases screens of original villain Kane

If you enjoyed the closed beta of Jump Force, Bandai Namco are giving us some good news of the upcoming game. Reported by Crunchyroll and at their FaceBook page, Bandai Namco released some screen shots of one of Jump Force’s main antagonist named Kane. This “Hit look a like” is one of the original villains created for this game. He was designed by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama and according to his motives, he plans to destroy and rebuild the world. If you have Facebook, you can see more screens of this villain. It’s unknown if he is going to be playable.

Sword Art Online games on Switch!

Good news for SAO fans! If you like Sword Art Online video games, Bandai Namco has some fun news for you gamers! Announced at the Tokyo Game Show, video game company Bandai Namco of Entertainment released a video about five years of Sword of Art Online video games. From Hollow Fragment to Fatal Bullet, Bandai Namco wanted fans to see the amazing achievements of the past five years. However, that’s not the news I want to talk about. In the later half of the video, Bandai Namco revealed that the following games Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet and Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization will be ported to the Nintendo Switch. To make things more exciting, the Switch versions of these two games will have all the DLCs in it. The Switch titles will be called Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization – Deluxe Edition and Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet – Complete Edition.

It won’t be on Switch, but coming to Steam is the video game Sword Art Online: Lost Song. Sword Art Online: Lost Song takes place after the first SAO game, Hollow Re:Fragment but the focus is on ALfeim Online, the world of the fairys.

Dragon Ball FighterZ adds 17 to the Roster!

Great news Dragon Ball fans! If you are still playing Dragon Ball FighterZ, get ready to play a new character this month! Besides the recently announced Cooler, Bandai Namco announced that the final character of the season pass is revealed to be Android 17. Based on the pictures, Android 17 will appear in his park rangers uniform from Dragon Ball Super and he won’t be accompanied with Android 18. There is no release date for the DLC, but just like before, once he is released in the online store, he is either free when you buy the season pass or buy him individually. Android 17 is the last DLC character of the season pass.

Buying the season pass includes the following characters:

  • Broly
  • Bardock
  • Zamasu (Merged)
  • Vegito (SSGSS or SSB)
  • Goku (Base Form)
  • Vegeta (Base/Saiyan Form)
  • Cooler (FInal Form)

Jump Force News: Yugi joins the battle!

Hello anime fans! I am going to cut to the chase and give you some super news in regards to the upcoming 2019 anime crossover game Jump Force. We got crazy characters like pirates, ninjas and Saiyans, but now joining the fight is the King of Games himself, Yugi Muto! There is no gameplay video of him yet, but I wanted to quickly mention this to anyone who didn’t know. I will try to keep an eye out for any more videos of him.

Soul Calibur VI adds Tira and brings back Create a Fighter with Story

Bandai Namco has been busy lately because of the new updates on video games. In the upcoming fighting game Soul Calibur VI, Bandai Namco has just revealed another new fighter, but she is a DLC character in which players would have to either buy the season pass or stand alone DLC. Tira joins the fight in this new game. Tira originally came from Soul Calibur III in the PS2.

Also being added to the game is the return of Create a Fighter. This new feature is called Libra of Soul Story Mode. In this feature, fans can once again create their own original story or inspirational character and even partake an original story made for your character. The possibilities are endless and you will have the chance to fight the Soul Calibur characters with your own character.

Jump Force news: New characters and a hub world?

Greetings anime fans! I have found some awesome news in the world of anime and video games. Most of you are aware of the anticipated crossover fighting game Jump Force. Bandai Namco announced the release of more Shonen Jump characters joining the brawl. Here are the new characters:

Joining the game with the characters the young kid Hunter Gon Freecss and the disturbing card fighter Hisoka from the series Hunter x Hunter.

Added from the Dragon Ball series is Goku’s rival and friend Vegeta the Prince of all the Saiyans.

Last but not least, we have more characters from One Piece. Joining Luffy and Zoro is the Straw Hat Crew’s cook and fighter Sanji Vinsmoke. Luffy’s second oldest brother Sabo joins the fight and is equppied with the powers of the Flame-Flame Fruit and the Dragon Claw technique taught from Monkey D. Dragon. The ruthless pirate and enemy to Luffy is Marshall D. Teach and he is ready to use the power of Darkness and Earthquakes to crush his enemies.

Also, according to this new trailer, the game looks like it might have a hub world becuase it has iconic figures the mountains from Dragon Ball, the Hidden Leaf Village and some sort of vendor and am unknown character (probably a girl) with a Straw Hat. This could be a hint that this game might have a creator fighter feature similar to Dragon Ball Xenoverse series.
