To Love-Ru anime finally gets an English Dub!

If you are an English Dub fan and you like anime like High School DxD and Monster Musume, get ready for this title because it’s coming back in English! It’s been confirmed by Sentai Filmworks that the fan service anime To Love-Ru is getting an English Dub according to ANN. Here is what the plot is described according to Sentai Filmworks:

One should always understand other people’s customs before making commitments. Unfortunately, Rito Yuki had no idea the planet Develuke even existed when their Princess Lala teleported naked into his bathtub, let alone that touching a girl’s breasts is how they propose marriage!

Given that he was in the tub when she appeared, and slippery soap suds being what they are, Rito’s now engaged to a beautiful girl with a pointed tail. Worse, various aliens are showing up on missions of varying hostile intent, the girl that Rito really loves is still completely unaware of his feelings, and all of the new customs he’s got to learn seem to involve touching a girl’s chest! (Okay, maybe he’ll get used to that last one, but he’s still in high school and a bit intimidated.) Can a nice boy from Japan become the next King of Galaxy A or will he just end up feeling like a boob?

This series is based on Weekly Shonen Jump manga created by two people; the artist is Kentaro Yabuki and the writer is Saki Hasemi. Kentaro Yabuki is an artist is well known for doing another Shonen Jump title Black Cat and he was mentored by Takeshi Obata who is known for doing manga like Death Note and Bakuman. Saki Hasemi is an anime screen writer who helped Yabuki in doing the manga and he is involved with the anime. You can buy the manga as well, but it is all owned by Seven Seas Entertainment. To Love-Ru is a Shonen Jump title that belongs to other titles like Naruto, One Piece and Bleach.

Sakura-Con news: Anime Dub and Fate App

First, Happy Resurrection Day! Second, here is some news from Sakura-Con!

FUNimation

I found out this news from a blogger named Takuto’s Tweet in Twitter first and then I had to check at Anime News Network to confirm it and it’s true. Feel free to check out his blog here.

At Sakura-Con, FUNimation announced that they got license to release Kyoto Animation’s anime Hyuoka. This anime is 22 episodes long and the anime director is the same person who did Full Metal Panic Fumoffu and Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid. Here is the plot for the anime:

The story follows a boy named Hōtarō who is not assertive about getting involved, but was ordered by his older sister to join the classic literature club. In the club, he gets close to the truth about an incident, involving a female member’s uncle, which happened 33 years ago. The “energy-saving” boy is joined by an inquisitive girl in this adolescent mystery.

FUNimation states that the first part of the anime will be released on July 4th in DVD with an English Dub.

They also announced another anime to join in the July release. The anime Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches will be released in DVD with English Dub. Here is the plot:

The story begins when high school boy Yamada bumps into the beautiful female honor student Shiraishi on the stairs, and their lips touch as they fall. When they regain their wits, they realize that they have swapped bodies. As time progresses, the two realize that this is not the only mysterious happening in the school.

Aniplex

Anime from Aniplex of America is also joining the news!

Well-known for making anime fans cry harder than Clannad and Angel Beats, the anime anohana – The Flower We Saw That Day will be receiving an English Dub. Led by voice actor Patrick Seitz (Franky in One Piece, Dio in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Isshin from Bleach), the anime already found a cast to play as the characters. It’s unknown when will the anime will be released for DVD or stream.

Aniplex will also be releasing complete Blu-Ray Sets for the anime Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic and Magi: The Kingdom of Magic for $119.98. Both sets are in English Dub and Sub with textless opening and ending songs.

Fate/Stay Go

Even though this is not another anime news but related, Aniplex of America announced that they will be releasing the app game Fate/Grand Order for U.S. and Canada. This game is well-known for fans especially since they played the JP version. Aniplex announced some updates to the game in regards to players who have access to the JP version such not being able to transfer accounts and keeping up with campaign events. The app is planned to be released in the summer but you can read the details here.

English Dub news: ERASED and Cross Ange

Announced at Anime Central, Aniplex of America reveals that the winter 2015 anime ERASED will be getting an English Dub!

Plot Synopsis:

ERASED is based on Kei Sanbe‘s Boku dake ga Inai Machi manga, and it follows Satoru, a struggling manga artist who has an ability that forces him back in time to prevent deaths. When his mother is killed he’s sent back in time to solve the mystery, but ends up back in elementary school, just before the disappearance of his classmate Kayo.

I have been told that this anime is really popular but I haven’t had the time to see it yet. I might have to either watch it first in Japanese or wait for English Dub.

Mentioned a couple of times, the mecha series Cross Ange will be getting a English Dub cast. Sentai Filmworks announced that the first set of DVDs will be released on June 21, 2016. Collection 2 will be ready for purchase on August 23, 2006.

Plot Synopsis

Betrayed by her brother. Stripped of her birthright. Declared an abomination. For the girl once known as Princess Angelise Ikaruga Misurugi, the nightmare has just begun. Because not having the ability to use magic makes her less than human in the eyes of the law, and now she’s been exiled to certain death as a slave soldier in a war against draconic invaders! But the people and land that cast her out have made a lethal error. The girl now known as Ange is no longer an innocent Princess being lead to rape and slaughter. She’s learned the hidden truth about the world she thought she knew. She’s discovered that she’s willing to kill in order to survive. And they’ve given her a weapon. The studio behind GUNDAM, ESCAFLOWNE, and COWBOY BEBOP unleashes a stunning new epic in animation as giant robots, a Princess, and dragons engage in the ultimate duel to the death in CROSS ANGE: Rondo of Angel and Dragon!
