Anime app lets you talk to Konosuba Megumin

If you are an Android user, you might have remembered the anime app Wake Me Up, Asuna. That app allowed fans to talk to Asuna and she responds back at you whether you are speaking English or Japanese. She would wake up if your phone was on as an alarm and she will always hi to you. She was also voiced by the same voice actress in the anime (only the Japanese voice actress). Unfortunately, this app later discontinued in January 15th, 2019.

Now, looks like Asuna has some competition in the app world. Once was an an exclusive Japanese app, there is an English app where you can have the explosive mage girl Megumin from Konosuba in your phone. According to Crunchyroll, there is an app called Isekai where you can talk to the characters and have them respond and perform functions like doing a timer and alarm. Currently, Isekai will allow fans to talk to Megumin. The app has just released an English pack DLC where she will respond back to you and understand you in English. The voice actress is still the same person, Rie Takahashi.

The English pack is around $7 and this will allow her to speak in English text and hear you in English. The app will be for Android AND Apple users.

Sorry Asuna, as much as I love having you in my phone, I have to move. Are you excited to have Megumin in your phone?

KonoSuba movie dates revealed!

If One Piece Stampede and My Hero Academia Heroes Rising is not enough to satisfy your anime needs, maybe you need KonoSuba. Announced from Crunchyroll, Crunchyroll is teaming up with Fathom Events and Kadokawa and bringing the upcoming KonoSuba movie in theaters. The movie is called KONOSUBA – A God’s blessing on this wonderful world! – Legend of Crimson. This movie will be played in one night only on November 12th of this year. Here is the plot and trailer:

A video game-loving shut-in, Satou Kazuma’s life should’ve ended when he was hit by a truck, but through a twist in fate, he ends up reincarnating in another world–and dragging the goddess, Aqua, along with him.

“I’m going to enjoy the life of an adventurer that I’ve always fantasized about from RPGs! Time to be the hero!” But in spite of his enthusiasm, only trouble was waiting for Kazuma. Namely, the troublemaking goddess, Aqua; the wildly dorky mage, Megumin; and the unrelentingly delusional lady knight, Darkness. He ends up forming a party with these potentially powerful, but incredibly unfortunate individuals, which leads to deep debt, being tried for treason, slaying the Demon King’s generals, and occasionally dying (again).

Then, one day, the Crimson Demon girl Yunyun says something that makes the entire group freeze up: “I want to have your babies, Kazuma!” Upon hearing the details, it turns out that the Crimson Demon village that Megumin and Yunyun are from is facing a threat that could mean it’s ending. Kazuma and his gang follow Yunyun, who returns to the Crimson Demon village intent on saving it… when they are faced with their greatest threat yet! What will become of the unremarkable adventurer Kazuma’s life in another world?!

Konosuba movie announcement!

Popping up online, we got some Konosuba news! Unfortunately, it’s not season 3 of the anime, but there is project going on for the anime. Announced today at their official site, the popular anime based on Natsume Aktasuki’s light novel Konosuba (KonoSuba -God’s blessing on this wonderful world!) got a green light for an anime project. In ANN, the anime will be directed by Takaomi Kanasaki who previously did the two seasons of the anime. The movie will also have returning voice actors for the characters. Besides characters, the team who worked on the music, animation and story will also be back and will be working on the movie project.

Story synopsis:

The original light novels center on Kazuma, a shut-in student who dies in a traffic accident, but meets the goddess Aqua after death. He is given the chance to reincarnate in a fantasy world and can keep one thing with him. When he decides to choose Aqua herself, they are both transported to their new lives. The pair go on quests to earn just enough to buy food, shelter, and clothing, and eventually hire the sorceress Megumin and swordswoman Darkness, who they quickly learn are just as useless as they are.

Happy Birthday to me! – A Special Top 10 posts and Personal Shout-Outs!

Hello everyone, this is yours truly Matthew of Matt-in-the-Hat, and today is a special day because today it’s my birthday! Today I turn 23 and I have been waiting for a long time to reach this number. As a way to start this post, I will be doing a special top 10 posts but with a twist. If you guys know me enough, you would know that I have a gaming obsession with Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts. For this top 10, this will actually be divided into top 5s instead but in the end, it will be 10. Also, there is no particular order. Here is the reason behind this. Also, I will be doing personal shout-outs!

Today is the DLC add-on to the game Final Fantasy XV, Episode Gladioulus. In this episode, players will be playing as Noctis’s friend Gladiolus and they will experience what is like to play as the strongest man of the group. Taking place after facing Ravus, Gladiolus leaves the party and tries to obtain new skills. With the help of Cor, Gladio will be fighting daemons and he will have to face the ultimate challenger, Gilgamesh. If players bought the season pass, this episode is free; otherwise, you will have to pay $5.

Also coming out today is the release of of the HD collection game Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, (in the UK, this game comes out on March 31st). This game will include the past Kingdom Hearts that was previously included for the PS3 but now it will be on PS4. The graphics are enhanced with 60 FPS. This game will include the following: Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days (HD Cinematic Remaster), Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix, and Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded (HD Cinematic Remaster).

Now that I have giving you this information, going back to the top posts, I will tell you the titles to these top posts. I will be sharing my top 5 Strongest Male Humans in dedication to the Episode Gladiolus and my personal Top 5 Anime Worlds that could join Kingdom Hearts.

Top 5 anime look-a-likes!

As an anime fan, you meet a variety of unique and different characters. However, have you seen a character that seemed too similar to another character? I am saying, have you seen a character that looked almost similar in appearance? Sometimes, a mangaka artist or author may create their characters by coincidence or they base it off from someone’s work. If it’s based on works, they either (a) really respect the original artist and wanted to do their own creation or (b) steal the idea and claim it as their own. In this top post 5 posts, I will be showing some anime characters that look strikingly similar to other characters in different works. This will be focused on different works and not on the same genre (in short, this may not be limited to only anime. Also this is not in order. Just things that popped in my head).

You may only bring one thing you like with you.”

He responds, “…So, I’ll bring you.” With that, he is transported to another world and his great adventure subjugating the demon king begins … but first the hard work of finding food, clothing, and shelter begins.
