Naruto joins the Funimation streaming service!

In case you missed the FunimationCon, the epic ninja anime series Naruto will be part of the Funimation channel for your streaming pleasure. From the official Funimation site, all 220 episodes of the classic Naruto anime will be available to stream with subbed and dubbed format for the United States and Canadian audience.

For UK fans, you are not forgotten, Funimation has something for you. According to the official site, anyone who is a subscriber in the UK and Ireland will be able to watch all the episodes of Naruto Shippuden. Not only Shippuden, but UK fans will be able to watch the first 51 episodes of Boruto: Naruto Next Generation. Both series will be dubbed and subbed for your viewing preference.

Better late than never I always say. If you have the anime fighting game Jump Force, you might have known about the announced DLC characters. Today two announced characters are to ready to be downloaded via season pass or individual purchases. Today, Madara Uchiha and Toshiro Hitsugaya are ready to join Jump Force. Madara is the antagonist in the series Naruto (in anime he is from Naruto Shippuden) and Toshiro is from Bleach. These characters are ready to join in PS4, X1 and PC on November 15th.

The last two characters is Law from One Piece and Grimmjow from Bleach and it’s unknown when are they are released.

Top 10 Naruto Male post

In my previous, I shared with you my top favorite male characters in Naruto. In this post, I want to share with you my top favorite female characters from the series. As part of the 20th anniversary of Naruto, let’s look back and remember the characters that we feel in love with. Naruto has a plethora of powerful and beautiful women that can kick butt and stand for us. Just a heads up, there might be spoilers! So let’s get started.

10. Kushina

Even though she wasn’t present in Naruto’s childhood, she still loved him and wishes she could be part of his life. I find her really interesting because before Naruto had the Nine Tails, she was the previous host and she was unique. Even after losing Nine Tails Fox, she used last of her strength to help her husband to seal the beast in their own son, even it means dying and not being able to see Naruto grow. A mother’s love is all Naruto needed to help maintain control over the tailed beast.

9. Konan

Another tough woman in the series but led to darkness. Konan grow up in a time of war along with Nagato and Yahiko. She was trained by Jiraiya and together, she with her friends did their best to bring peace to the lad. But after tragedy, She and Pain (an alias made by Nagato) formed the Akatsuki and seeks to create peace in their own hands. Her paper justu is pretty impressive. I also like how Naruto convinced her to be good and she went on as a changed ninja. However, she later gets killed by Tobi after she tried to protect her fallen friends.

8. Shizune

Even though she not strong as Lady Tsunade, she is very dependable. Shizune is a skilled ninja who knows about medication and taking on dangerous missions. Shizune is a great partner to not only supporting Tsunade, but also to other Hokages like former 6th Kakashi and now current Naruto.

7. Sarada

Coming from Sasuke and Sakura, Sarada has the some impressive skills from her parents. She has the Sharingan like her father and she has the brute strength as Sakura. Sarada is the leader of Team 7 who is mentored by Konohamaru and he team is Boruto and Mizuki. Sarada does her best to keep the team maintain (mostly keep Boruto in control). Her intellectual skills is all thanks to her parents.

6. Tenten

A ninja is already to fight and is always equipped with the best weapons. Tenten is one of Naruto’s friends and her skills involves with using ninja tools for combat. With her skills in combat, Tenten has access to many weapons that she can use to fight and carry on duties.

5. Temari

Despite coming from the Hidden Sand Village, Temari makes a beautiful wife for Shikamaru in the Hidden Leaf Village. Before settling down for a family, Temari is the sister of Gaara and Kankuro from the Sand Village. Her skills involves with using a giant fan in which she can use to blow her enemies away and even cause wind blade jutus. Don’t her looks intimate you, she is a caring mother and wife.

4. Ino

To be honest, I didn’t care about her much in the classic Naruto, but my opinion later changed in Shippuden. Ino is a rival and friend to Sakura and these two knew each other in childhood. Ino can use mind transfer jutsu in which she can leave her body behind and take over another person. Ino has help Naruto fight some of the Akatsuki such as the immortal Akatsuki’s like Hidan and Kakazu.

3. Tsunade

She may look like a young hot babe, she is actually old enough to be a grandma. More or less, she is probably the same age as Jiraiya. Tsunade is a tough woman who can use incredible chakra to heal people with her skills and her summoning jutsu that allows her to summon slugs. What makes Tsunade incredible is that she comes from the same bloodline as the first Hokage and even though she doesn’t have his wood jutsu, she can fight with brute force and lead the village. She’s a woman you don’t want to mess with especially if you get in the way of her gambling.

2. Sakura

Kind of like Ino, I didn’t care about her in the classic Naruto. In the classic Naruto, despite her being the smartest ninja, she didn’t do a lot of fighting compared to Naruto and Sasuke. In Shippuden, I like her a bit more when she got strong and was helping Naruto fight the Akatsuki. She got better when they needed help fighting Madara and then Kaguya. In Boruto. she is caring mother of Sarada and will fight anyone who hurts her family. I also like her too because she and I have the same birthday.

Naruto’s wife is number one! Hinata first starts off as a timid ninja who was scared to fight and too afraid to talk to Naruto, but after seeing Naruto conquer many challenges, she got inspired to follow him and get strong. I really love how she is willing to help Naruto even if it means risking her life. I actually wrote about her in a OWLS post. Hinata is grown so much when she met Naruto. She even stood up against the powerful enemy Pain in order to help Naruto. Despite the enemies she faces and her doubts, she will stand by Naruto.

It’s been 20 years since the debut of Naruto has appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump manga. Who would have thought that a story about a young ninja kid named Naruto Uzamaki would be a hit sensation not only in Japan but all over the world. Naruto has evolved from the manga, to anime to video games and even movies and he is loved by many fans. Through thick and thin, Naruto is a series popular as Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon and it’s highly praised not only for the story, but it is praised for the characters, their development and real life themes such as war and over coming obstacles. Recently, the main character Naruto had his birthday on October 10th. I missed out doing something special on his day but I want to do something for his 20th Anniversary on the manga. I am going to be doing a special top 10 post on my favorite characters on the series. It’s actually going to be more than one post. This one is going to focus on my favorite male character in the series. On my next planned post, I want to do one focusing on the women and hopefully do another about villains. More than likely, I want to do male and female first before I consider doing more about Naruto top 10 posts. I got this idea from a friendly blogger named Mel from the blog website Marvelously Mismatched. She is a great friend of mine and I remember reading her posts about her favorite Naruto male characters. If you want to check out her blog, I will leave her blog and posts down below. Anyway, here is my top 10 favorite male characters. (Spoilers coming up!)

10. Jugo

Jugo is one of my favorite characters in the series. At first he appears like a gentle giant but when he gets angry, he becomes a monster. When Sasuke enlists him in his team, the rampaging Jugo agrees to serve Sasuke and the rest of Team Hebi. With his skills, Jugo can heal Sasuke wounds by using his curse mark and even use his mark to unleash monster strength.

9. Gaara

Almost like Naruto, Gaara is a character I feel sympathetic towards him. Just like Naruto, Gaara was outcasted by his own village because he had the one-tailed beast Shukaku. To make matters worse, his own father tried to kill his own son multiple times by sending his own men but failed in the process.Without love and care, Gaara became a heartless ninja. But after facing Naruto, Gaara later learned about friendship and he dies whatever it takes to take of his village.

8. Yamato

He’s not Kakashi, but he is a cool sensei. Yamato first appeared as a substitute sensei to watch over Naruto, Sakura and newly introduced, Sai. What makes Yamato interesting is that he has an unique chakra which allows him to use wood style jutsu that can help suppress Naruto’s nine tails chakra. When he’s not watching over Naruto, he’s making houses and boats with his jutsu. Don’t ever make him mad because he gives off a creepy face.

7. Might Guy

He may look weird, but he is one of the strongest taijutsu shinobi in the Leaf Village. Might Guy is a ninja that ultizes taijutsu, jutsu that relies on physical combat and strength. Guy is a sensei who watches over his team which includes Rock Lee, Neji and Tenten. He may look weird with his haircut and green clothes, but he is actually strong ninja. I like how even though he only has taijutsu, he is still strong and he knows how fight and go beyond limits.

6. Kakashi Hatake

This guy has some awesome skills. Kakashi is a real ninja who can toy with his opponents. When he had the Sharingan, Kakashi can imitate hand signs and perform jutsu and counter attack his opponent. Even with his mask on, Kakashi shows a lot of emotions. He cares about his students and he doesn’t hold back on his enemies. He went from being a student, anbu, sensei and even Hokage. Kakashi is a powerhouse ninja.

5. Obito Uchiha

When life turns their back on you, you turn your back on the world. After dealing with tragedy, the innocent Obito Uchiha decides to seek vengeance in the world. After losing his childhood crush Rin, Obito wants to create a world where anything is possible and he do drastic measures. I like how he is powerful and manipulative in the series and tricking people that he was Madara Uchiha.

4. Shikamaru Nara

Don’t be fooled by his appearance. First started off in the show as a lazy student, Shikamaru is actually pretty smart. He plans out his moves and outsmarts his opponents. He also appears calm minded which helps him concentrate and not make the situation stressful. I also like his jutsu in which he can possess people with his Shadow Posession Jutsu.

3. Itachi Uchiha

We all hated this guy before but after learning about him, Itachi is one of the coolest characters in the series. Itachi first appears in the show as an antagonist but after learning about him and trying to prevent coup between his clan and the Leaf Village, he was willing to kill off his own clan and save his only little brother Sasuke. Itachi is an opponent you should never underestimate especially when facing someone who killed their entire clan.

2. Naruto Uzamaki

He’s the star of his own story and he shows us that with enough determination, dreams can come true. Naruto may have had a bad beginning without having parents and failing in school, Naruto shows us that never giving up pays off. Naruto is one tough kid who refuses to give up and when the going gets tough, he gets stronger.

1. Jiraiya

Jiraiya is my number one favorite character. He may look like an old funny pervert, but he’s surprisingly a cool shinobi. When he’s not doing “research”, he is writing and training Naruto. As a Sanin, it’s his job to protect the Leaf Village from evil. Jiraiya is the master of the Rasengan and he knows how to summon powerful toads and even hold secrets about chakra control. I wish he was alive in the series so he can see Naruto become Hokage. I admire that he is a writer and I like his dedication to finding out how to find peace in the ninja world.

The Big Three! Viz announces novels!

Remember the Big 3, One Piece, Naruto and Bleach? Well guess what, they’re coming back with more adventures in novel format. Announced yesterday at the New York Comic Con, Viz Media announced that they are planning to release some novels based on the manga series One Piece, Naruto and Bleach.

Viz Media announced that that Tite Kubo’s series Bleach will be coming back in a novel that takes place after the events of The Thousand Year Blood War (also known as the final arc). You might have seen or heard of this part of the story in Bleach: Brave Souls, but if you haven’t been playing the game, you can experience Bleach again in Summer 2020. The novel is called Bleach: Can’t Fear Your Own World and the main character is not Ichigo Kurosaki, but instead it’s Squad 9 Lieutenant, Shuhei Hisagi.

Even though he is not in the story this time, he is still loved by the fans. One Piece will be getting a novel focusing on Luffy’s brother Portgas D. Ace. This light novel will be released on Summer 2020. So if ever wandered what was Ace doing while Luffy was having his misadventures, you can pick up this book and read his story.

Remember those Naruto novels that came out after the conclusion of the manga? Remember we had novels focusing on Kakashi, Shikamaru, Sasuke and even about Itachi’s life? Well, get ready for another one but this will be about Naruto and his family. This novel is called Naruto: Naruto’s Story – Family Day. Even Naruto is Hokage, it is not easy for him to get a day off and be with his family. This one also comes out in summer 2020.

Masashi Kishimoto new manga is here!

It has been a while since the original Naruto manga has ended. Currently running, we have the Boruto manga which is being supervised by the original creator. However, if you want more Naruto-esque series, I got good news! If you have a Shonen Jump account, Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto has just revealed and released the manga of his next work Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru. The manga story was created by Masashi Kishimoto and the art is being done by Akira Okubo. According to the Wiki, he is one of the seventh assistance in Kishimoto’s job and he helped do the Naruto manga in volume 16. If you’re wondering, Mikio Ikemoto is also one of Kishimoto’s assistance but he is also in charge of the manga Boruto: Naruto Next Generation.

Shonen Jump describes the series:

Samurai 8: HachimarudenΒ is a sc-fi manga that follows a weak boy named Hachimaru, who can’t survive without a life-support system and has never left his house. While dreaming about becoming a “Samurai” that has a machine body and power beyond human, he has spent his days only by playing online games. The story starts moving when a cat, calls himself a “Samurai,” appears in front of him.

Here is what Masashi Kishimoto said when talking to Viz:

Q. “If you give an abbreviated name or nickname forΒ Samurai 8: Hachimaruden…?”

 

Kishimoto:Β “I want some part of the word ‘Samurai’ to be included. I know it is a bit difficult title to be

Please use any abbreviated name that is easy for you to call (laugh).”

Kishimoto:Β “As announced at the Jump Festa at the end of last year, I have been struggling to exceed my

previous work Naruto!! (laugh). Because I had taken hiatus from a weekly serialization work, my sense is

now as same as that of amateur artists. However, the pressure from around is so strong (laugh). I want

them to go easy on me. …But I understand if I keep talking so complacently, any manga can beΒ cancelled

so easily in Shonen Jump, so I brace myself to do my best. Then all I can do left is to send it toΒ the readers.

Its serialization starts this week. So everyone, please read my latest work ‘Samurai 8 Hachimaruden’!

Jump Force adds Naruto characters and reveals more characters in ad

Step aside Mortal Kombat 11 and Dead or Alive 6, a fighting game may be taking over for best fighting game. Jump Force is near upon us and that means anime fans will be able to fight with of their favorite characters from the manga franchise Shonen Jump. According to Crunchyroll, Facebook and Instagram just revealed some characters in a pop up ad in their page of Jump Force. Two new characters are revealed in the ad and their names is Jotaro Kujo and Dai. Jotaro is from the third part of the manga series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures titled Stardust Crusaders. Dai is from the manga series Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures is a series created by manga creator Hirohiko Araki and the manga was licensed by Shueshia and Shonen Jump. Dai is from Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai manga and it was written by Riku Sanjo and illustrated by Koji Inada. The manga is based on the popular JRPG series Dragon’s Quest.

But wait, there is more news! It looks like One Piece and Dragon Ball won’t be the only series with an expanded roster. Naruto characters will be joining Jump Force. Naruto’s son Boruto Uzamaki will be joining with his father in this fight. Also joining the game is the leader of Team 7 Kakashi Hatake. As Naruto’s mentor and the Leaf Village strongest ninja, he will use his Sharingan to take down enemies; don’t interrupt him when he is reading his book. Once an enemy but now a friend of Naruto, the 5th Kazekage Gaara joins the game. He will use his sand jutsu to bury his foes. Last but not least, we have the mother of all chakra and the villain mastermind behind the Akatsuki and manipulating Madara from the beginning is Kaguya Ōstutsuki. Kaguya is the one that first introduced chakra from eating a forbidden fruit and her children later developed chakra and jutsu which plays a key role in the entire Naruto series. With her forbidden powers, Kaguya will show the world despair.

Happy Halloween!

“We are Venom!” This is a quote from Sony’s movie adaption of Marvel’s antihero Venom. I saw this movie and I have to admit, it was good movie and I would love to see a sequel or possibly have Venom crossover with Spider-Man.Β  What makes Venom interesting is how the main character Eddie Brock is teamed up with an unknown creature unexpectedly and must learn to control. However, unlike most characters with super powers, Eddie gained these powers by accident and he struggles to control them and what’s worse is that Venom is a living creature with its own motives. In other words, Venom and Eddie has to work together in order to survive against enemies that wants them both dead.

This kind of relationship also exists in the world of anime and manga where characters receive a special power, but changes their lives differently. Some characters get rejected by society and some loses a part of their identity in order to live. In this post, I want to list my top five characters who gained powers but goes through hardships. Anime characters that obtained a power source without any characteristics like Deku from My Hero Academia will not be in this list since even though he does get the quirk One for All from All Might, the quirk is not a living creature. This list will focus on characters obtaining living, powerful beings and learning to cooperate with the hosts. I wasn’t sure how to properly title this post, so if you have any title suggestions for this post, comment down below.Β  It’s been a while since I did a top post so excuse me for my rusty writing.

*There might be minor spoilers, but I will keep it to a minimum! This is not ranked! I am only listing from the top of my head. Also, I will be referring to the movie Venom more often. So if you are reading this and getting tired of me saying, “just like Venom or just like Eddie…”, get used to it!
