March 2022 Funko Pop Haul *Happy 8 Years of blogging!*

Howdy everyone! You know what this means when you see Funko. It’s time for another Funko Haul post. Without a doubt, this one of the biggest haul of the year so far. I bought myself some pops and some were given to me as birthday gifts. Lets go over my updated figures.

137-140.

  •  The Drowned (Batman Hot Topic exclusive)
  • Vegeta with apron (Dragon Ball Super HT exclusive)
  • Carnage (Marvel HT)
  • Evil Inuyasha (HT)

I got these four figures from Hot Topic online. These four are exclusives and once I saw them return to the site, I had to get them. The Drowned figure was the cheapest of the bunch. The Drowned is a dark alternate version of Batman from Earth -11. With the money and technology along with taking the throne of Aquawoman, Bryce Wayne becomes The Drowned. Now she and along with Dark Knights are ready to conquer the universe. Nothing really special with this one, but I bought this version of Carnage. I believe this figure is based on the moment where he escapes from jail. The Vegeta figure with the apron is based on the moment where he tried to cook eggs during Dragon Ball. Last but not least, I also got Evil Inuyasha. Sometimes called Demon Inuyasha, this Inuyasha, when under pressure, becomes a violent vicious demon. He becomes so dangerous he doesn’t need his blade and he is willing to attack his friends.

141+142.

  • Pigeotto
  • Michelangelo

For my birthday, my girlfriend got me some pop figures. I got Pigeotto from the Pokemon series and this Michelangelo is from the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. If you are a classic fan of Pokemon, you would know that Pigeotto was one of Ash’s first Pokemon when he started his journey. I haven’t seen this movie, but I would have assume there is a reason why Mikey is holding a box of donuts instead of pizza. Maybe I should watch it on my free time.

143+144.

  • Philharmagic Mickey Mouse
  • Demongo

Got these guys again from Hot Topic, but with Hot Cash. I got this shiny and sparkly Mickey Mouse figure in his good suit with sorcerer’s hat and the malevolent Demongo. It is Disney World’s 50th anniversary and Disney is going all out on the celebration. Mickey is ready to party and fill the world with magic. From the animated series Samurai Jack, we have this deadly ally of Aku, Demongo. What makes him dangerous is the fact he can summon spirits and make them fight as long as he still standing. However, knowing Jack, he was able to find a weakness and inflict damage to this intimating dark magic user.

145. Mai Valentine from Yu-Gi-Oh!

As a way to celebrate the 25th anniversary Funko released more Yu-Gi-Oh! Pops. I got Mai when I went to GameStop and I also bought Persona 5 Royal and Catherine for the Switch. She’s not an exclusive, but it’s cool to snag a character from a popular anime series. Mai is one tough duelist with her Harpie Ladies and her Amazonian women.

146+147

  • Boruto
  • Raphael

I got these two from going shopping at Barnes and Noble with my girlfriend. I got Boruto from the Boruto series and Raphael from the same movie with the one I got with Michelangelo. This Boruto looks different and if you remembered correctly, this Boruto appeared in the first few pages of the Boruto manga and the beginning of the anime. It’s unknown what happened, but Boruto is wearing the scratched headband from Sasuke, wielding a sword, has a scar on his eye and he is able to unleash his karma powers. This Raphael doesn’t have his sais but he is ready to kick butt. I also bought myself a VizBig Inuyasha manga book.

148. Majin Buu with Ice-Cream (GameStop exclusive)

Last but not least, I got this t-shirt/figure combo set from my friend Ezra for my birthday. This is Majin Buu from the anime Dragon Ball Z. This pink blob monster is scary when angered, but if you give him ice-cream, he’ll be happy. Gotta love this pink character in which I think of him as Patrick Star.

That is all the figures I got from March. It was a big haul. I have a total of 148 figures. I hope you enjoyed seeing my collection. Cheers to 8 years of blogging!

February 2022 Funko Pop Haul

I took a break from buying Pop figures on January in case you were wondering why January felt different. As we enter 2022, I started to buy Pops again in February. I bought some really cool looking figures in February despite dealing with warm and cold weather. February was a short, but busy month.

133+134. Batman Battle-Damaged (The Batman Hot Topic exclusive) and Hades (Hercules Hot Topic exclusive)

I bought these two from Hot Topic. Around this time, I had to do errands in which I had to get my oil change on my car and get an eyes checked. While waiting, I did some shopping to pass the time. I went to Hot Topic and I came back spending my money on some cool stuff. I bought some T-shirts and Pop figures.

This Batman figure is based on the recent 2022 Matt Reeves movie The Batman which is played by Robert Pattinson. Batman has to solve crimes and get into messy fights when dealing with thugs and the serial killer Riddler. Not DC, but I bought this Disney villain Hades. Hades is one of my favorite Disney villains.

135-136. Boba Fett and Fennec Shand from The Book of Boba Fett

Better late than never. I bought these two Star Wars characters in my late Valentines Date. My girlfriend and I went to Downtown Disney and shopped around the stores and venders. The first place we did shopping was at a Star Wars store at the place. Taking place within the Star Wars story, The Book of Boba Fett tells the story about Boba Fett and how he survived from the movie The Return of the Jedi and what happened to him after the events of The Mandalorian season 2. Boba along with Fennec are trying to do have order in Mos Eisley in the planet Tatooine. I didn’t hesitate to get these two characters.

I have a total of 136 figures.

August 2021 Funko Pop Haul

Hello everyone and welcome for another Funko Pop Haul post. We made it to September and you have no idea how much I got from August’s purchase. With Summer ending pretty soon, you got to take advantage of the summer sales. Brace yourself because I got a lot this month.

115-6. Magneto (Walmart Exclusive) + MIckey Mouse with Popsicle (Hot Topic Exclusive)

I got two exclusives today and they are Disney and Marvel. Technically speaking, they are all Disney since Disney was able to purchase Fox in a inquisition and that means Disney owns a portion of 20th Century Fox and that also means Disney has the rights to X-Men. I was surprised that it took us this long for Funko to release some X-Men figures. Despite the movies being popular, there’s not much from figures based on the movies. This Magneto is a younger version from the modern trilogy (First Class, Days of Future Past, etc.). Magneto is a force to be reckoned with in the X-Men world with his magnetic powers. He believes the mutants shall reign over the normal humans. As a Mickey Mouse fanatic, I had to get this Mickey Mouse figure. This is a figure of Mickey holding a posicle. I am not sure if it’s a reference to a cartoon short or Disneyland or even a National Popsicle Day event, but this looks cute. If Mickey gave you a popsicle, would you accept it?

117-8. Kirito and Asuna from Sword Art Online

I don;t usually pre-order Pops, but this is where I felt I needed to get these figures. Unlike the previous I have, these are up to date.  These two have Kirito and Asuna in different poses and Kirito is wielding one sword instead of his iconic dual blades. I also pre-ordered Leafa, but according to Hot Topic, she is getting delayed until October. Did you know Kirito was my first figure I have bought and having him kick started my hobby of collecting Pops. I would later get Asuna from Allison and at that time, we were friends.

119-21. Sonic the Hedgehog (GameStop Exclusive) + Venom and Carnage

I ordered these three figures online from GameStop. This Sonic figure is based on the classic game Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for Sega Genesis. The box comes with a hard protective case with sonic capturing the pose like the game. It also has the cover behind him. The box display is a taller than an average figure, but it is also more slim. As a sucker for Venom, I went ahead and bought these two figures. Based on the movie Venom: Let There Be Carnage, this is the first time we got Pop versions of this Sony antihero. As of now, these are the characters that is being sold. There is a jumbo version of Carnage exclusively sold at Walmart, but good luck and trying to snag one. In this movie, we have Venom being the protagonist in this Marvel movie and this is the first time we will ever see Carnage be in a live-action movie.

122-3. Spider-Man: Miles Morales (Advanced Tech Suit and Programmable Matter Suit exclusive) + Artist Deadpool (GameStop exclusive)

These are the last one for August. While doing errands with my mom, I went ahead and went shopping at GameStop so I can use my last of my giftcard. I had a $40 giftcard when I bought that PS5 bundle. GameStop was having a buy 3 for $30 deal, I got these three Marvel figures; two of which is Miles Morales and Deadpool. Based on the popular Marvel Spider-Man: Miles Morales, I got two versions of Miles. According to the Wiki, the advanced tech suit resembles the MCU’s version of Peter’s Iron Spider suit and the Anti-Ock Suit whilst retaining the iconic black and red colors; it is also a free suit if players updated the game. The Programmable Suit is unlocked when the player completes the hideout missions. With the suit equipped, Miles can perform new finishers which will allow his suit to unleash four extra robotic legs. This figure is also an exclusive which allows it to glow in the dark. Last but not least, I have this Deadpool figure. Just like the others, this is a Deadpool figure that is part of the 30th Anniversary. As you can tell, Deadpool likes to chill and visualize and express his passion.

I have a total of 123 figures! Notice the numbers 123. 1-2-3?

February 2021 Funko Pop Haul *Happy Birthday Special*

Hello Funko lovers, I am back again for another haul post. As a collector of vinyl Pop figures, I am a lover of these small bobble head like figurines. Today is my birthday and I am going to share with my updated collection from my purchases from February. According to my last update, I have 84 figures and I been collecting figures from February and March. However, I am only going to be talking about February.

85+86. Owlman and The Penguin Snowman (both Hot Topic Exclusives)

I got these two from online from using my Hot Cash at Hot Topic. Obviously I wanted to get this holiday version of Penguin because not only he was an exclusive, but we are already passed the holidays and I wanted to snag him before he sells out. The Christmas season usually stocks up these special comic book figures for Marvel and DC characters. It’s funny how they made a villain like the Penguin a snowman; he looks like a serious and dangerous frosty the snowman. Also in the DC Superhero section, I bought Owlman. Hot Topic listed this figure really cheap and every time I visit Hot Topic online, it is there for $7. I assume this figure is not really popular. I don’t know much about this character, but I do hear he’s an evil counterpart of Batman and he is from a different universe along with other evil characters in their Justice League.

87. Sorcerer Mickey 10″ (Walmart Exclusive)

As a way to celebrate the 80th anniversary to the musical movie Fantasia, Funko released Disney figures from the movie. Exclusively from Walmart, I went and spent about $30 on this big figure of Mickey Mouse. I love Mickey Mouse to death and seeing this figure online made me want to claim this Disney treasure. Just like my Mandolarion figure from November, this is another huge figure.

88. Sorcerer Mickey Art Series No. 15
89. The Joker (Imperial)
90. Batman (Imperial)

As you can tell, I like to shop at Hot Topic. I made some more purchases. They may not be Hot Topic exclusives, but I knew I had to get them before they disappear. I got a different version of the Sorcerer Mickey figure, but this figure is unlike the any other Mickey figure I have. Even though it’s still the same sorcerer, Mickey here is splattered in green, blue and purple paint. I don’t know much about the paint series, but it looks cool. On the back of the box, there is another but it’s purple as the base color with star lights. I was surprised to see DC do these types of figures of Batman and Joker. Based on the Imperial army, DC and Funko created these DC characters. We have Batman don some samurai armor and we have Joker looking like a general. It’s cool, but I don’t know for sure if there is many more our there since the box doesn’t tell. As far as I know there is a Harley and Robin figure out there.

91. Ratchet and Clank (GameStop Exclusive)

Taking a break from Hot Topic, I took my business to GameStop. During one of my dates, me and my girlfriend went to GameStop at an outside mall. I saw Ratchet and Clank on the Pop Funko shelves and I had to get them. As a gamer myself, I love the Ratchet and Clank series. It’s cool to see some Playstation figures as Pops. I saw they also had the brothers from God of War, Brok and Sindri, but my instincts told me to get the Lombax and his robot companion.

That’s the end of the February haul and I will be back for the March post. I have 91 figures!

January 2021 Funko Pop Haul (+ December 2020)

Hey everyone this is Matthew from Matt-in-the-Hat and I am back once again to share with you another post showcasing my Funko Pop figure collection. There is no doubt that I am huge Funko Pop collector. With January already over, I am here to tell you what new figures I collected in the first month of 2021. Sit back and relax and let me tell you the history on how and where did I get these well-known artifacts.

December 2020

81. Hercule from Dragon Ball Super

This is embarrassing and I am not talking about this joke character from Dragon Ball Super. It turns out by the time I took this picture of this figure, I got him in New Years Eve. This was supposed to be in my December 2020 post, but I guess I overlooked my pictures. I got this figure as a Christmas gift from my friend and fellow brother in Christ, Ezra. He knows I love Pops and he knows my favorite anime is Dragon Ball. This character I have is named Hercule and he is a joke character. He is just a human who acts like the strongest warrior in the universe despite actually being the weakest hero. On TV, his name is Mr. Satan and he is a rich celebrity warrior who convinced the world that he has defeated the powerful enemies like Cell and Majin Buu. However, he is just a ricj guy who is friends with Goku and his friends and takes the spotlight for the media. He is also the father of Videl who is married to Gohan, he is the son of Goku.

January 2021

82+83. Lea from Kingdom Hearts III and Wonder Woman in Golden Armor from WW84 (Walmart exclusive)

I got these figures while shopping around Walmart. I was buying a Casper cartoon collection DVD and I needed help getting free shipping. The first thing I picked was Lea from Kingdom Hearts III. After regaining his memories, Lea returns back to life after dying as Axel in Kingdom Hearts II. He came back in Dream Drop Distance and he later learned to wield a keyblade in which he would train with Kairi and prepare for the final battle with Xehanort in KH3. Unlike the figure I got from January 2020, this Lea figure doesn’t have his keyblade. In case you didn’t know, the voice who does Lea/Axel is Quinton Flynn who is well-known for voicing Reno in Final Fantasy VII titles (except for Remake), Raiden from Metal Gear series, Henry in No More Heroes 1 and 2 and even Sheldon from My Life As a Teenage Robot.

As someone who likes exclusive figures, I decided to get Wonder Woman. Based on the movie that came out on Christmas of 2020, WW84 or also called Wonder Woman 1984 is the sequel to 2017’s Wonder Woman movie with Gal Gadot returning as Wonder Woman and saving the world during the 80s. Based on this figure, Wonder Woman dons a shiny golden armor which allows her to fight incredibly strong enemies and this armor was worn by another previous, powerful Amazonian warrior. This Walmart exclusive is pretty cool and I am surprised it was pretty cheap.

84. Venomized Groot from Marvel’s Venom series (Glow in the Dark Hot Topic Exlcusive) + T-shirt bundle

I seen this Funko Pop bundle many times whenever I window shop at the Hot Topic site. After giving into my temptations, I decide order this Pop bundle. This bundle or combo pack comes with a box resembling a comic book set, but inside it has the Pop figure of Groot and a t-shirt. The shirt has Groot possessed by the alien symbiote and saying “We Are Venom” instead of saying “I am Groot”. The shirt also resembles the front page of a comic book. The figure itself is pretty cool. I didn’t really much on the glow in the dark features, but I like how menacing Groot looks. Instead of a friendly look tree, he looks like a vicious man-eating plant. The shirt felt nice and it made me feel like a cool nerd.

I have a total of 84 figures. Which ones did you like the most?

June Funko Pop Haul 2020

Welcome everyone for another awesome Funko Pop haul post. As you know, you know me as a hardcore collector. I love collecting these Funko Pop figures. Whenever there is a sale or I need help getting free shipping, I buy one of these figures and add them to my cart. Sorry for the late haul, July has been really busy in my life. With my new job and an addition to my family, I forgot to write about what I got in June. I also got more figures in July, but that’s going to be in a different post.

Before we begin, I want to thank Mike Kelly for donating at my Ko-fi page. I am so thankful to having a kind and thoughtful supporter of my site. Mike, I hope you are reading this because you are incredible person and I appreciate you supporting not only me, but other writers.

Here is what I got June:

54. Deadpool (Supper Hero)

As a late birthday gift, my best friend Ezra got me this festive Deadpool figure. This figure has Deadpool holding a turkey fest. I am not sure if he’s celebrating Thanksgiving or Christmas, but Deadpool will happily treat his friends with this delicious turkey.

55. Mysterio from Spider-Man: Far From Home (Walmart exclusive Glow in the Dark)

Thank God Walmart brought back this figure when it was on stock. This figure is pretty rare because this figure is just like my Perfect Cell figure and it can glow in the dark. Just like in the movie of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Mysterio uses his illusion special effects and shows up as spooky and mysterious. Mysterio is a master of illusions and this guy trick thinking he is strong as an Avenger. If you want this figure, you’re going have to keep your eyes peeled in sites such as Walmart or even eBay.

This is my collection from June. I have a total of 55 figures.

January 2020 Funko Pop unbox!

Hey guys welcome back for another Funko Pop unboxing. As a way to start the new year, I purchased some Pops from two different retailers which was Walmart and Hot Topic. From Walmart’s purchase, I bought the Walmart bundle of the movie Spider-Man: Far From Home movie with a retro toy figure along with Aqua from Kingdom Hearts III set.

From Hot Topic, I got two exclusives and regular Pop figure. One is Lea from Kingdom Hearts III with a keyblade and the other is SSGSS (or SSB) Goku. I also bought Kairi to go along with the Kingdom Hearts III collection.

39. Aqua from Kingdom Hearts III

40. Kairi from Kingdom Hearts III

41. Lea with a keyblade from Kingdom Hearts III (Hot Topic Exclusive)

42. SSGSS Goku (Hot Topic Exclsuive)

Aqua: Hello. My name is Aqua and I am happy to see you guys. I can’t wait to see the others.

Kairi: Hi, I am Kairi. I am so glad to be here. I wonder where is Sora? I hope he’s not off sleeping somewhere.

Lea: The name is Lea. Got is memorized? I better go tag along with Sora and his friends and see if they need company.

SSGSS Goku: Hey I’m Goku. You might be wondering what kind of form is this. This is a Super Saiyan God form that I was able to tap into that piwer in my own and it is the Super Saiyan level.

Black (Cyber) Friday Haul 2019

What’s better than Thanksgiving food? Shopping for deals on Black Friday. Technically now, according to some, Black Friday begins after Thanksgiving feasting. In Black Friday, people line up at stores and prepares to buy stuff that in major discounts. Some people stay up early in the morning in order to get those deals while others decides to take a more comfortable and begin an early Cyber Monday and shop online. Even though Cyber Monday begins on the Monday after Thanksgiving weekend, people can shop online early and still get deals. For myself, I am more of a online shopper if I am getting something for myself. On the Black Friday week, I went ahead and order some cool stuff from Barnes and Noble and RIghtstuf.

From Barnes and Noble, I got a Spyro the Dragon and Sparx Pop Funko! figure. This Spyro and Sparx will go great with my collection. He will be with the other video games I have like Crash, Sonic and Sora. Spryo and Sparx is the 38th figure of my collection.

From Rightstuf, I thank God for this sale because I was finally able to get the entire DVD collection of Sword Art Online. Aniplex of America joined this Christmas Holiday sale. As much as I wanted the Blu-Ray version, I stuck with the DVDs. The Blu-Ray collection was too high even for this sale. The collection comes with all the episodes from season 1 and the special episode Sword Art Online: Extra Edition. This cost me about $50.

Even I bought this way back in early November, I feel like sharing this anime collection. I also got the second season of Food Wars in the premium box set. This box set is big as the first set. It comes with exclusive anime items like a pin and scarf. Food Wars: The Second Plate premium set comes with the DVDs and Blu-Ray discs. This was also on sale at the Sentai Filmworks site for whopping of $50.

Exclusive Rocket Pop! unboxing

Greetings Pop fans! This is Matthew and once again, I have another Pop figure I want to share with you. This new figure I have is a Rocket Raccoon figure from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

However, according to the box, this Rocket is based on the Disney California Adventures ride Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!. Originally, this ride was called The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror before it shut down and got a Marvel make over. In this ride, Rocket has to save his team from The Collector.

GOTG ride (34404621430).jpg

I bought this Disney Exclusive item from the shopDisney.com website. I used my Disney points to redeem for a $20 giftcard and I got this without spending a penny.

This marks my 37th figure in my collection.

Unboxing: Aquaman Walmart exclusive Funko DVD set

Who would have thought that Aquaman would have an awesome movie good as Wonder Woman? Aquaman was a fun DC movie in 2018 in which tells the story about a man named Arthur Curry who is half-man, half-Atlantean who must step up in order to prevent an upcoming war between Atlantis and the people living in the surface land. Arthur will become not just a hero, but a king. As a Pop collector, I was eager to get this movie set; not only I got three copies of the movie (DVD, Blu-Ray and digital), but I also got the keychain Pop Funko figure. Just like my Alita post, this one is small enough to accessorize. Unfortunately, I wish they would have taken better care of the box set. It has some dents and bends, but at least the figures and discs were fine. This keychain counts as my 36th figure of my set.
