In the Jinchu Arc, fans get to learn how did Kenshin become the manslayer and where did he got the scar. It also has the iconic final battle with Kenshin and Enishi, a man seeking revenge for the death of his sister Tomoe. It’s announced the previous actors for Kenshin (Takeru Satoh) and Kaoru (Emi Takei) will return to their characters. The movies will be released in 2020!
Sentai Filmworks description:
Although she’s only sixteen and looks even younger, Misao Makimachi is already a skilled and competent member of the Oniwabansh? ninja clan. Which is a fortunate thing for Misao, as her onimitsu talents may be all that keeps her alive when a journey in search of the leader of the clan, Aoshi Shinomori, leads her instead into a face-to-face encounter with an even more dangerous man and a plot to overthrow the Meiji government!

Do you recall the news about Rurouni Kenshin Hokkaido Arc returning on June 4th? According to recent news, the manga is out of hiatus and returned to the Shonen Jump magazine in Japan; however, this did happen in America. According to Viz, English company in charge of releasing the Weekly Shonen Jump manga and magazine in America, they did not include Rurouni Kenshin Hokkaido Arc and they extended the hiatus. If you were wondering why didn’t Kenshin return in your digital magazine, Viz did not allow the manga to return and extended the hiatus meanwhile in Japan, it is back.
If did not watch the recent Avengers movie “Avengers: Infinity War”, do not read this part of this news. The following will have spoilers from this point. I will not go into depth, but this will your last warning.
I didn’t expect to this news in the morning. It seems like Kenshin will be back in June. After being charged for harboring child pornography at work and home and being charged for 200,000 yen ($1,870), Rurouni Kenshin is expected to come back in Weekly Shonen Jump in Japan.
June 4th will be the day where the Hokkaido Arc will resume. According to the Shonen Jump editorial department, the team gave a huge apology to anyone who was involved and had concerns about the manga. The department mentioned Rurouni Kenshin creator Nobuhiro Watsuki and revealed that Watsuki took this hiatus and reflect and remorse for his crimes.
So it looks like after the terrible news before, the creator regrets what he did and he is hoping he be forgiven. Rurouni Kenshin Hokkaido Arc will be back in June 4th in Japan. This will also mean, American readers will be able to read the manga too.
Remember the recent news about the author of Rurouni Kenshin and his crime on child pornography? I got an update today about his crime and punishment.
Recently reported today, the Tokyo Public Prosecutors Office filed an indictment on the creator of the manga Nobuhiro Watsuki (his real name is Nobuhiro Nishiwaki). The Tokyo Summary Court has ordered Watsuki to pay a fine for his crime for the price of 200,000 yen (in American dollars, that’s $1,900). Watsuki must now pay for the things he did.
If you don’t know what I am talking about, Reported in the fall of 2017 (In October), the police in Japan reported and arrested Watsuki for possessing DVDs of child pornography in his office. Police also found he had pornography in his home as well that goes way back in July 2015. Even Watsuki admitted that the underage girls (ages in late elementary and second year middle school) look attracted.
In result for his crime, the recent and new Rurouni Kenshin manga, The Hokkaido Arc, will be indefinite hiatus and it’s unknown if it will come back.
Don’t you hate it when you wake and you get bad news? I do and here is what is going on.
Recently announced today from Shueisha, Jump SQ will not be releasing any Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido Arc chapters for a while. As a matter of fact, this series is going to be on indefinite hiatus! If the series is on hiatus in Japan, that means fans in America will also miss out on Kenshin.
Why you may ask?
The reason why the series is on indefinite hiatus is because it is reported by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police that the manga creator Nobuhiro Watsuki is charged for possession of child pornography. According to authorities, Watsuki had more child porn in his office and hidden away recently in October. The porn he had was in DVDs and it was about young girls in early teens. Watsuki comments about it by saying, “liked girls in late elementary school to around the second year of middle school.”
Police also found more in his home which dates back to 2015. For Watsuki’s crime, he is entailed for a year of imprisonment and has to pay a fine of 1 million yen (in USA currency it is $8,800).
Now with this said, Watsuki later expresses his deep sorrow and regrets ever doing the crime. With this crime now, it’s going to be a long time until Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido Arc to come back.
