Looks like Disney+ won’t be the only heavy hitter on the online streaming service. SpongeBob Prequel series

Reported by Deadline, Nickelodeon announced that they are planning to do a spinoff series focusing on SpongeBob SquarePants. According to the article, the working title for the cartoon is called “Kamp Koral”. Unlike the cartoon on TV right now, this series will be a prequel series focusing on SpongeBob when he was 10 years old and the setting of the series is him at a sleepaway camp. The series will be CG animated instead of 2D animation and it will have 13 episodes. Nickelodeon president Brian Robbins announced it’s the first time they will do a spinoff show based on SpongeBob and the show will begin production in June.

Deadline describes Kamp Koral:

In the series, SpongeBob and his pals spend the summer building underwater campfires, catching wild jellyfish, and swimming in Lake Yuckymuck at the craziest camp in the kelp forest, Kamp Koral. SpongeBob SquarePants‘ Marc Ceccarelli and Vincent Waller co-executive produce the prequel.

According to the site, there will be a build up to this series as we approach SpongeBob’s 20th anniversary on his TV debut. His TV appearance appeared in July 17th, 1999 and the one hour TV special Big Birthday Blowout will begin on July 12th.

SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom returns!

https://www.overclockersclub.com/siteimages/news/news42513_1-thq_nordic_announces_spongebob_squarepants_battle_for_bikini_bottom_rehydrated_mini.jpg

The only SpongeBob games I remember playing as a kid was SpongeBob SquarePants: Super Sponge and SpongeBob SquarePants: Revenge of the Flying Dutchman. There is one SpongeBob game that I never played but I wish I did because it’s considered one of the best and fun games according to the fans. In 2003, THQ and Heavy Iron Studios created the game SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom for PS2, GameCube and Xbox. Fans loved this game for the fun gameplay and cartoon humor. Now recently announced, Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Purple Lamp Studios are bringing back this fan favorite game for modern consoles. This returning game is called SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated. This game will be for X1, Switch, PS4 and PC. Here is what the game is described according to Gematsu:

Are you ready, kids? The cult classic is back, faithfully remade in spongetastic splendor! Play as SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy and show the evil Plankton that crime pays even less than Mr. Krabs. Want to save Bikini Bottom from lots of rampant robots? Of course you do! Want to underpants bungee jump? Why wouldn’t you! Want to join forces in a brand new multiplayer mode? The battle is on!

Step aside Final Fantasy VII Remake, Death Stranding and Pokemon Sword and Shield, SpongeBob is taking over the news!

Friday Funny 189: Are you ready kids?

TGIF!

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome everyone for another episode of Friday Funny. I hope everyone had a good November this year as today is the last day of November. It’s time to say goodbye to the month of Turkey and the sales of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. In my opinion, it feels more like Black Friday Weekend and Cyber Monday week. With some sales coming to a close, get ready to save some money and spend it all for gifts for others and yourself! As we make it to December, get ready for some awesome movies and releases. We have Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros Ultimate coming out this early December. We also have movies such as the Transformer’s spinoff Bumblebee. DC is dishing out the origin movie Aquaman. Marvel is going to conclude their movies of 2018 with a PG-13 “Christmas” movie of Deadpool called Once Upon A Deadpool and Sony Animation is giving fans an awesome Spider-Man cartoon movie called Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Besides buying gifts, I hope you guys saved enough money for popcorn and tickets to see these movies. Last but never the least, in case you missed out, the creator of the cartoon series SpongeBob SquarePants has died this week. Stephen Hillenburg died in the age of 57 from ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) or also known as  Lou Gehrig’s disease. ALS is a terminal disease that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. SpongeBob SquarePants made his debut in May 1st, 1999 and it’s considered a great cartoon in Nickelodeon. The cartoon made over 11 seasons including specials and even had celebrity guests in some episodes such as Johnny Depp and David Bowie. It even has two movies and appeared in video games. It’s unknown what’s going to happen now for the yellow sponge’s future, but it’s important to know that Stephen is no longer suffering. He gave us something to laugh whenever we watch TV.

Let’s end November with a powerful note.

As a way to honor Stephen Hillenburg, here are some SpongeBob clips:

That’s all kids!

Sad News: SpongeBob Creator Stephen Hillenburg died

If you thought losing Stan Lee was awful, I got some unfortunate news I recently heard from Twitter. According to the official Nickelodeon Twitter, it’s been announced that Stephen Hillenburg has died. If you don’t know who is Stephen Hillenburg, he is the creator of the late 90s cartoon series SpongeBob SquarePants.

According to Variety, the cause of death was ASL. At the ALSA.org site, ASL, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. It was announced a while back that Stephen was diagnosed by ASL in March of 2017. Now that he is gone, it’s unknown what’s going to happen with the SpongeBob cartoons and how is this going to affect Nick. SpongeBob SquarePants first premiered in May 1st, 1999. In 1993 to 1996, he wrote and directed the cartoon series Rocko’s Modern Life. SpongeBob has been getting a lot popularity from old and new fans. It’s around now season 11 and even has two movies.

SpongeBob SquarePants is a cartoon that I will always enjoy. I remember watching every episode and quotes. It’s part of my life and I am saddened that Stephen Hillenburg is gone. I am thankful for him for giving us something to laugh about. God Bless his friends and family.

Friday Funny 180: S for September, S for SpongeBob!

TGIF!

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back to another meme-ful Friday! I hope everyone is doing well today on this Friday. Whether if today is your day off or you’re working, you can still make time for some memes. I don’t have much new news for today, but I will say that if you are watching Toonami tomorrow, get ready for the English Dub premeire of the sequel anime called Boruto: Naruto Next Generation. This anime takes place after Shippuden and focuses on Naruto and Hinata’s child Boruto. If you like Naruto, get ready for tomorrow for ninja action because Toonami will be showing both Naruto Shippuden and Boruto! Also joining Toonami is the original Dragon Ball Z Kai (from Saiyan Saga to Android Saga) and the original Samurai Jack cartoon slices into the line-up. After this Friday, we enter a new week and get ready for October! While most people are praising the new Spider-Man game, get ready for Spider-Man’s rival to take the spotlight in his own solo movie Venom. Also, I finally beat Marvel Spider-Man on the PS4. This game was amazing and I am hoping to review the game soon. For this theme of TGIF, I have prepared this with SpongeBob SquarePants memes! If you don’t know who is SpongeBob, then you must be Patrick Star and live under  rock. SpongeBob is a very popular cartoon in Nickelodeon and the popularity has caused fans to make many accurate memes based on this sponge. Technically, he is a 90s cartoon since he made his debut in 1999.

Are you ready for memes kids? I can’t hear!

Here is some random SpongeBob videos!

Bye kids!
