I want to thank Roki for tagging me for this tag post. I am sorry it took me a while to get to this project. When in comes to mediums like anime and video games, I like characters who can put up a good fight. Roki did his post and featured characters that can fight well and stand out from the crowd. In a way similar to him, I am going to pick 2 anime characters and 2 video game characters for this post. Originally, I was going to do 4 anime character and 4 game characters, but that would mean I would be breaking the rules.

1. Son Gohan (Dragon Ball)

I choose Gohan to be on this list. Gohan made his appearance in Dragon Ball and in the anime Dragon Ball Z. As much as I love Dragon Ball, Gohan is tied in regards to my favorite character. I like Goku, but Gohan would have to be number one. Started off as a crybaby in the series, Goku’s former foe and now friend, Piccolo took Gohan after Goku sacrificed himself to kill his Saiyan brother Raditz. Piccolo gave Gohan a grueling year of training. As time passed, Gohan warmed up to Piccolo and saw the green warrior as a teacher/father. As time passed, Gohan would later be trained by his father Goku, his friend Krillin and then even Elder Kai. While he may not be a full fledged Saiyan, Gohan went through many rigor training to be at the level with his dad and his mentor Piccolo. With the training of Goku and Piccolo, Gohan is one of few warriors to defend Earth and his family.

2. Yoruichi Shihōn (Bleach)

First making an appearance as a male black cat, Yoruichi is a cunning ninja woman who can save Ichigo and his friends in a flash. Don’t let her appearance fool you or otherwise you’ll end up seeing her revealing her female naked body like Ichigo did. She’s not only a fighter, she is also a princess in her clan and one of the four noble family in the Soul Society. While she not may not have a sword like the series, she is expert in speed and fast melee combat. With her Shunko unleashed, she is faster than the speed of light. With the help of her friend Kisuke Urahara, she can use tools and weapons on her enemies and make her hands and feet as weapons. I just had to add her because she is my all time favorite girl in Bleach.

3. Sub-Zero (Mortal Kombat)

Jumping into the game world, I am including this icy ninja, Sub-Zero. From the gory game Mortal Kombat, Sub-Zero is a fearsome ninja who can use ice as his weapon and even kill people in a painful experience. As part of the Lin Kuei, he has faced many powerful opponents in the realms. He is sometimes seen constantly fighting with the orange ninja Scorpion from the Shirai Ryu clan. When not fighting with each other, these two put a truce and become a powerful team against the greater evil.

4. Chun-Li (Street Fighter)

Last but not least, I’m including the thunder thigh beauty. Chun-Li is from Street Fighter. With her martial arts and sense of justice, she’ll fight crime in the streets and even underground terrorist groups. She never skips leg day and if she traps you in her flurry of kicks, you’re going to have a swollen face. She’s a tough woman, but she has beautiful face. Don’t be on her bad side or else you’ll suffer more than a knock out.

A lot is happening in the world of Sonic the Hedgehog and the community. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is getting praised in the movie theaters, Netflix fans are in anticipation for the upcoming Sonic Prime series and gamers are overwhelmingly wanting to play the new Sonic Frontiers video game. To take advantage of the Sonic online bandwagon, I want to share with you my top 10 favorite characters in the world of Sonic the Hedgehog.

10. E-123 Omega

First introduced in Sonic Heroes, Omega is the last of the E-series robots made by Dr. Eggman. He was deactivated and abandoned by Dr. Eggman. Furious and after being set free from Rouge, Omega seeks vengeance on Eggman for not using his full potential. He would later be part of Team Dark and team up with Shadow and Rouge. Omega is a cool robot. He has many cool weapons and he was fun to play as in Sonic Heroes and Sonic the Hedgehog (2006).

9. Metal Sonic

Introduced in Sonic CD, Dr. Robotnik creates a metal counterpart of Sonic the Hedgehog. Metal Sonic is a deadly fast robot that is willing to serve Robotnik and will do anything to surpass his counterpart. Metal Sonic is another robot I like in the series. He is formable opponent for Sonic and with his copying features, Metal Sonic is able to compete against Sonic’s speed. However, despite being a robot made to surpass Sonic, Sonic sees him as a worthy challenger and he is always ready to race with him.

8. Espio the Chameleon

First introduced in the Sega 32X game Knuckles Chaotix, Espio the Chameleon is a valuable team member in the Chaotix Detective Agency led by Vector and partnered with Charmy. With his ninja skills and invisibility, he is the stealthiest team member. Espio is my favorite member in the Chaotix. I enjoyed using him in Sonic Heroes and he had an awesome ability to stick oin the walls when jump across areas. I hope Sega would make a game featuring the Chaotix. In regards to Sonic and his connection, he just sees Espio as a cool friend with ninja skills.

7. Rouge the Bat

First appeared in Sonic Adventure 2, Rogue is not only a jewel thief, but she is a spy serving for the president of the United Federation. She may act bad, but she is a caring ally. She will sometimes help her teammates like Shadow and Omega or she’ll tease Knuckles and steal his Master Emerald. I had a fun time playing as her in SA2 and in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) game. I always like her kicking skills and I don’t understand why they removed her ability in Sonic 06 and gave her bombs. Despite her always with Shadow, Sonic doesn’t hold anything against her and sees her as a friend.

6. Amy Rose

First introduced in Sonic CD, along with Metal Sonic, Amy is a character who loves Sonic and she is his number one fan. Doesn’t matter where he is, she knows how to catch up to him. I got to give her credit, this girl supports Sonic no matter what and she is brave. Whenever you see her in a bad mood, stay away from her hammer. Despite her obsession for Sonic, Sonic considers her a great friend for his adventure.

5. Dr. Eggman

Making his first appearance in Sonic the Hedgehog 1 (1991) under the name Dr. Ivo Robotnik, Eggman is the greatest evil scientist in the games. This guy invents all his technology and doesn’t give up on his goal of getting his Eggman Empire. When technology doesn’t work, he uses other methods like using supernatural creatures or locked up mysterious for his benefits. Besides being an intimidating enemy, he can be a silly goofball who likes to mess with Sonic and give him a headache. It’s his goal to not only conquer the world, but he wants to outsmart the fastest hedgehog.

4. Miles “Tails” Prower

Making his appearance in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (1992), Tails is Sonic’s trustworthy companion. He’s more than just a sidekick, he is Sonic’s partner and best friend with a little brother personality. Doesn’t matter what’s the circumstances, Tails is there to help Sonic with his technology and his twin tails.

3. Shadow the Hedgehog

First appearing in the Dreamcast game Sonic Adventure 2, Shadow is a dark and edgier rival for Sonic. After being asleep for 50 years, Shadow holds a grudge against the humans on Earth for taking his only friend, Maria. After many encounters with Sonic, Shadow would not only be his rival, but also an ally. While Shadow may not be evil, he will do whatever it takes to bring peace and keep his promise to Maria.

2. Knuckles the Echidna

Knuckles the Echidna made his appearance in 1994 in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and then coming back again in Sonic & Knuckles. Despite being the strongest, he is also known as a knucklehead for being easily tricked by Dr. Eggman and teased by Rouge. Sonic and Knuckles may have their differences, but when Earth or innocent lives are at stake, it takes the power of Sonic’s speed and Knuckles’ brute force to protect the peace.

1. Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic the Hedgehog made his debut in Sonic the Hedgehog 1 (June 23,1991) for the Sega Genesis. What can I say about this guy? He’s the fastest character in the series who lives to run in top speed and protect all his friends. He also this upbeat attitude which gives his friends hope and enjoys giving a bad time for Dr. Eggman. He always looks at the good side of people and gives others a chance to be friends.

Top 5 “new” anime that should join Toonami

Almost like my top 10 post about Toonami and previously aired anime, I have another top post to share with all of you. Last time, I talked about what anime should return to Toonami. Today, I want to talk about “new” anime that has yet to join this Saturday night block. When I say new, I don’t mean new as in current year/season anime that was made in this current year. I say new as in anime that never showed up on Toonami. For example, the anime Hunter x Hunter joined Toonami with an English Dub on 2016, but the anime original aired on 2011-14 in subbed online. Even though anime wasn’t brand new to most viewers, this anime was new and fresh for TV users. We also got some new anime joined Saturdays such as Dr. Stone, Mob Psycho 100 and The Promised Neverland. In this post, I want to list my top 5 new anime that could join Toonami.

5. Fairy Tail

Fairy Tale': Final Season Will Bring Overdue Reunions and Epic ...

We had many long-going anime before such as Dragon Ball, One Piece, Bleach and even the current Naruto Shippuden. Now joining along these titles is these Funimation titles Black Clover and My Hero Academia. I never watched Fairy Tail. but I heard from people that this is a great Shonen anime that is fun to get into if you like anime like One Piece and Naruto. Oddly enough, despite this anime having a huge fanbase, this anime has not appeared on Toonami. One of these days, I do want to get into this series. With this COVID-19 going on, Funimation has been dealing with the dub for the anime My Hero Academia . I feel like once they are done with recording the English Dub of season 4 of the anime, I think it would be nice to see them take a break and give fans something different that is already recorded and will keep people wanting more Saturday nights.

4. Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online

Just like My Hero Academia, Sword Art Online Alicization next arc is hit by the COVID-19 delay. I feel like until things get busy again, I think it would be cool if Toonami includes this spinoff anime, Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online. In this anime, taking place in the same world of SAO, the story focuses on new characters besides Kirito and the group and the anime centers on Gun Gale Online, which was a game introduced in season 2 of the main SAO story. This anime does have Kirito, but this anime does have cute and likeable characters and it will be a breather from the main story’s “serious tone” in plot. I seen this anime and I like it.

3. Blue Exorcist Kyoto Saga

Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga Review | Brutal Gamer

Anybody remember Blue Exorcist joining Toonami? This is not a sequel to the main anime that aired in 2012. According to sources, Blue Exorcist Kyoto Saga focuses the Kyoto Impure Arc from the manga; specifically, according to Otaku Magazine, this anime takes place after episode 17 where the story sticks to source material. In short, this new version of the anime replaces the second half of the old version. I really like the anime and if you like themes like exorcism and fighting demonic evil, this is something to watch. I would like to see Toonami add this anime on TV. Similar to One-Punch Man season 2, this anime can be streamed anywhere, but last time I checked, the English Dub is exclusive in Hulu.

2. Accel World

Made by the same creators of Sword Art Online, Reki Kawahara created this series called Accel World. Unfortunately in the community, this anime doesn’t get much attention like SAO. I seen some of the anime, but I say it’s a good and fun series to watch. If you like Sword Art Online and video games, this something to watch. This anime about 24 episodes and I think it will keep viewers entertain.

1. The Rising of the Shield Hero

Amazon.com: Skinhub 12" x 15" Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari The ...

I haven’t seen this anime, but I have others saying this anime is really good, while others say controversial stuff about it. Despite this anime getting bad reviews from ANN and this series dealing with controversial themes, fans have said this anime hits the nail and it’s a great isekai anime. With an anime popular and having the green light for more seasons, I wouldn’t be surprised if Toonami adds this title on Saturdays.

Greetings anime fans! I hope everyone is doing well. By the time you read this, it’s already days after Saturday (05/02/20). I am going to cut to the chase and tell you why I am sharing with you a top 10 posts. Recently in Toonami, we have many anime leaving Toonami and this means the Saturday night block has been cut short. It’s already been announced that the anime Mob Psycho 100 season 1 will be returning to Toonami. If you look at the schedule for May 9th, there is only 6 anime titles premiering. Since Food Wars season 3 won’t be airing on TV and Demon Slayers recently finished the season, Toonami has been removing titles from left to right. It also doesn’t help that some anime won’t be airing until summer or fall. Dr. Stone and season 2 will be back later in 2020 and the final season of Sword Art Online Alicization will be pushed back in summer.

I really like how Toonami does its best and give us the recent anime titles in the same time as fans are watching seasonal anime. Despite some people finishing some titles early, in essence, viewers from Toonami can still participate in the anime viewing. However, as much as I like the direction Toonami is going with these new anime series, I sometimes miss the old anime that was once aired on TV. One of the cool things that Toonami sometimes does is bring back previous anime in their time slot for new and old fans such as FLCL, Paranoia Agent and Outlaw Star. In this post, I want to share my top 10 previously aired anime I think people will enjoying today. This is won’t be ranked and it will be anime that has been in my mind. These titles are anime that was on Toonami in the past!

Wishlist post: top 5 costumes I want to see in Spider-Man sequel game

With a potential Marvel’s Spider-Man sequel and for the upcoming PlayStation 5, we can only hope that the next Spider-Man game will surpass the first game that was released in 2018. One of the fun moments while playing the first game is the ability to unlock Spider-Man costumes. These costumes originated from comic books such as 2099, Noir and some come from movies such as the iconic Sam Raimi and Iron Spider suits. Some are silly like Spider-Man in his underwear or with a college t-shirt. As players unlock them, they gain special abilities like the Iron Spider suit allows Spider-Man to grow extra limbs for extra damage and the Noir suit allows him to do stealth without detection. If everything goes well with Sony and Insomniac Studios, we can hope whatever costumes that didn’t make it in the first game will appear in this game. In this list, I want to share my top 5 costumes I would love to see appear in the sequel. Not only I will list my top 5 costumes, but I will also briefly describe the ideal ability for each one.

5. Symbiote Spider-Man

Surprisingly, this costume never made it in the game and not even as a DLC. The symbiote suit (also called the black suit) is Spider-Man fan’s favorite costume in all media such as movies, cartoons, video games and comics. Comic book veterans will know that the symbiote suit came from Marvel’s 1984 crossover Secret Wars in which Spider-Man dons a mysterious black suit after his red and blue clothes are damaged. In Amazing Spider-Man #252, Spider-Man keeps the suit and uses it for crime fighting. Unfortunately, he finds out the suit is actually a living alien that wants to use Peter as a host. Peter ditches the alien but ends up taking over a new host named Eddie Brock and he becomes Venom.

If Marvel’s Spider-Man sequel includes characters like Venom and Carnage, it would be cool to see Peter wear the symbiote suit along with his Advanced Suit as part of the story. For the ideal ability, players who wears the suit will give players unlimited webbing and tech for a limited. Just like in the comics where the symbiote gave Spider-Man unlimited webbing, the suit will give players unlimited use of webbing and tech. In similarity, this suit would play like Spider-Man’s Anti-Ock suit.

4. Octo-Spidey (Spider-Man Earth-11983)

I don’t much about this Spider-Man other than the fact he makes an appearance in the 90’s Spider-Man: The Animated Series and I am assuming he makes an appearance in the infamous Clone Saga. This version of Spider-Man utilizes Dr. Otto Octavious’s mechanical tentacles. If this was added in the game, players could play the suit as if it was the Iron Spider and give extra reach and power to enemies.

3. Spider-Phoenix

This is another version of Spider-Man I don’t know about. According to CBR and ComicVine, this version of Spider-Man is from Spider-Man issue 25 in annual comic with the Excalibur crossover. During this crossover, Spider-Man and the Excaliburs are up against the villain Arcade. Arcade has trapped the heroes in his Murderland and pitting them in a battle royale. By using the technology against him, Spider-Man uses Arcade’s illusion technology and scare him by pretending he is has the Phoenix in him and thus becoming Spider-Phoenix (trying to imitate Jean Grey’s Phoenix powers). Even though Spider-Man never obtains the power of the Phoenix, in video games, players can use it. In the PS1 game Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro, players can unlock this version of Spider-Man and the game’s narrator Stan Lee states it gives the player invulnerability.

Even though invulnerability is cool, I would like thinking of using the suit as if it was the Scarlet Spider. Players would use the ability to project holograms to trick enemies thinking they are fighting the real Spider-Man.

2. The Amazing Spider-Man suit (Marc Webb 2012)

Like most of anything in a franchise, there is always a black sheep. The Amazing Spider-Man had potential, but it flopped big time and failed to get a third film. Andrew Garfield may not have been Tobey Maguire nor Tom Holland, but he did his best to give us a good Spider-Man despite Sony trying to push many story plots. Garfield became Spider-Man in Sony’s reboot The Amazing Spider-Man after the director Sam Raimi left due to creative differences, The movie was directed by Marc Webb and he helmed even the sequel. Reason why I picked this version since it feels weird that the first game didn’t include this suit, but rather include Raimi’s suit and the Stark Suit (Tom Holland suit). They even included the Spider-Verse and both suits from Far From Home. For abilities, I am not sure what to give for this suit. It would probably be a default suit like the other DLC costumes.

1. Spider-Man/Takuya Yamashiro (a.k.a. Supaidaman)

This is a bizarre request to ask, but I would like to see this Spider-Man in the sequel. This version of Spider-Man comes from Japan in which a man named Takuya Yamashiro becomes Spider-Man and fights evil in Japan. Unlike Peter Parker, this Spider-Man can summon a giant robot mech named the Leopardon and fight monsters. This Japanese show helped spawn the beginning of the Super Sentai franchise which is also leads to the creation of the Power Rangers. Despite this Spider-Man being vintage, it has made an appearance in the comic Spider-Verse and it is mentioned by Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse director that this Spider hero will be in the sequel.

If this was in the game, I would imagine this suit give players the same ability as the Stark Suit. This Spider-Man will call out a mini spider drone and help the player fight the bad guys. If the player is wearing the suit, Spider-Man wll instead say Leopardon and the spider drone will be replace as a tiny Leopardon drone instead.

This is my top five suits I would like to see in the sequel. What is your choices?

Before I officially end, here is my most honorable mentions:

Homemade Black Suit

When things get serious for Spider-Man, he doesn’t wear the red and blue suit, he goes all black. Unlike the symbiote, this is a homemade suit Peter has crafted as back up for his costumes. He doesn’t wear it often since it scares Mary Jane during the time when Venom was born and she got terrified of him. However, like I said, this suit when worn means Spider-Man is not playing around with his enemies. He is not quipping. he is beating enemies in a pulp. Spider-Man has worn this in many comics such as facing against Kraven the Hunter, in a what-if story where he kills Kingpin for killing Mary Jane and in alternate future stories like Renow Your Vows and Reign.

If this was in the game, I would see this having the same ability as the Noir suit or Last Stand. With the Noir ability, Spider-Man can sneak up and perform stealth attacks without detection. In Last Stand, he would deal serious damage on enemies including some with shields and taser weapons.

Superior Spider-Man

What if Spider-Man was more assertive on his job of duty and it wasn’t Peter. This version of Spider-Man is not the same Spider-Man we know. Superior Spider-Man is actually Dr. Otto Octavius in Peter’s mind. In the comics, Otto steals Peter’s body and tries to be a better Spider-Man by dealing with criminals in his own way. Unfortunately, Otto realizes that even with his high intelligence and his access to technology, he could never be Peter. Otto returns Peter to his body and he accepts death.

If this suit was included in the game, I would imagine it being played as the Iron Spider suit due to them having the same ability to using extra spider legs for combat.

It would be a plot twist if Otto from the first game returns to this sequel and ends up becoming this Spider-Man.

Venomized Spider-Man

I don’t know much about this version of Spider-Man except for the fact this version will be appearing in the third season of Disney XD’s Marvel Spider-Man cartoon series. The third season will be released in the spring and it will be called Maximum Venom. Spider-Man will have to deal with facing the Marvel heroes in possession of the symbiotes. In a promo and even in a Funko Pop, Spider-Man comes in contact with the symbiote but the alien attaches to him partially and he resembles something similar to Anti-Venom.

For his abilities, I would imagine it having the same abilities as the Advanced Suit but with an added bonus. The suit will give Spider-Man fast charge in his special abilities for takedowns and recover health.

It’s been 20 years since the debut of Naruto has appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump manga. Who would have thought that a story about a young ninja kid named Naruto Uzamaki would be a hit sensation not only in Japan but all over the world. Naruto has evolved from the manga, to anime to video games and even movies and he is loved by many fans. Through thick and thin, Naruto is a series popular as Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon and it’s highly praised not only for the story, but it is praised for the characters, their development and real life themes such as war and over coming obstacles. Recently, the main character Naruto had his birthday on October 10th. I missed out doing something special on his day but I want to do something for his 20th Anniversary on the manga. I am going to be doing a special top 10 post on my favorite characters on the series. It’s actually going to be more than one post. This one is going to focus on my favorite male character in the series. On my next planned post, I want to do one focusing on the women and hopefully do another about villains. More than likely, I want to do male and female first before I consider doing more about Naruto top 10 posts. I got this idea from a friendly blogger named Mel from the blog website Marvelously Mismatched. She is a great friend of mine and I remember reading her posts about her favorite Naruto male characters. If you want to check out her blog, I will leave her blog and posts down below. Anyway, here is my top 10 favorite male characters. (Spoilers coming up!)

10. Jugo

Jugo is one of my favorite characters in the series. At first he appears like a gentle giant but when he gets angry, he becomes a monster. When Sasuke enlists him in his team, the rampaging Jugo agrees to serve Sasuke and the rest of Team Hebi. With his skills, Jugo can heal Sasuke wounds by using his curse mark and even use his mark to unleash monster strength.

9. Gaara

Almost like Naruto, Gaara is a character I feel sympathetic towards him. Just like Naruto, Gaara was outcasted by his own village because he had the one-tailed beast Shukaku. To make matters worse, his own father tried to kill his own son multiple times by sending his own men but failed in the process.Without love and care, Gaara became a heartless ninja. But after facing Naruto, Gaara later learned about friendship and he dies whatever it takes to take of his village.

8. Yamato

He’s not Kakashi, but he is a cool sensei. Yamato first appeared as a substitute sensei to watch over Naruto, Sakura and newly introduced, Sai. What makes Yamato interesting is that he has an unique chakra which allows him to use wood style jutsu that can help suppress Naruto’s nine tails chakra. When he’s not watching over Naruto, he’s making houses and boats with his jutsu. Don’t ever make him mad because he gives off a creepy face.

7. Might Guy

He may look weird, but he is one of the strongest taijutsu shinobi in the Leaf Village. Might Guy is a ninja that ultizes taijutsu, jutsu that relies on physical combat and strength. Guy is a sensei who watches over his team which includes Rock Lee, Neji and Tenten. He may look weird with his haircut and green clothes, but he is actually strong ninja. I like how even though he only has taijutsu, he is still strong and he knows how fight and go beyond limits.

6. Kakashi Hatake

This guy has some awesome skills. Kakashi is a real ninja who can toy with his opponents. When he had the Sharingan, Kakashi can imitate hand signs and perform jutsu and counter attack his opponent. Even with his mask on, Kakashi shows a lot of emotions. He cares about his students and he doesn’t hold back on his enemies. He went from being a student, anbu, sensei and even Hokage. Kakashi is a powerhouse ninja.

5. Obito Uchiha

When life turns their back on you, you turn your back on the world. After dealing with tragedy, the innocent Obito Uchiha decides to seek vengeance in the world. After losing his childhood crush Rin, Obito wants to create a world where anything is possible and he do drastic measures. I like how he is powerful and manipulative in the series and tricking people that he was Madara Uchiha.

4. Shikamaru Nara

Don’t be fooled by his appearance. First started off in the show as a lazy student, Shikamaru is actually pretty smart. He plans out his moves and outsmarts his opponents. He also appears calm minded which helps him concentrate and not make the situation stressful. I also like his jutsu in which he can possess people with his Shadow Posession Jutsu.

3. Itachi Uchiha

We all hated this guy before but after learning about him, Itachi is one of the coolest characters in the series. Itachi first appears in the show as an antagonist but after learning about him and trying to prevent coup between his clan and the Leaf Village, he was willing to kill off his own clan and save his only little brother Sasuke. Itachi is an opponent you should never underestimate especially when facing someone who killed their entire clan.

2. Naruto Uzamaki

He’s the star of his own story and he shows us that with enough determination, dreams can come true. Naruto may have had a bad beginning without having parents and failing in school, Naruto shows us that never giving up pays off. Naruto is one tough kid who refuses to give up and when the going gets tough, he gets stronger.

1. Jiraiya

Jiraiya is my number one favorite character. He may look like an old funny pervert, but he’s surprisingly a cool shinobi. When he’s not doing “research”, he is writing and training Naruto. As a Sanin, it’s his job to protect the Leaf Village from evil. Jiraiya is the master of the Rasengan and he knows how to summon powerful toads and even hold secrets about chakra control. I wish he was alive in the series so he can see Naruto become Hokage. I admire that he is a writer and I like his dedication to finding out how to find peace in the ninja world.

Happy 30th Anniversary Dragon Ball Z – My top 5 characters I wish to see canon in Dragon Ball

Remember the news that Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama was involve with making the movie Dragon Ball Super: Broly? Because of his involvement, fans rejoiced and saw that after all these years, the antagonist Broly was going to be canon and be part of the Dragon Ball universe. Not only him, but we also get see characters like Bardock, Gogeta and even Goku’s mother Gine as canon; Gine first made her appearance in the manga Jaco: The Galactic Patrolman manga in a special chapter called Dragon Ball Minus. This is could be good or bad news since this means that Toriyama retconned the story. Meaning, we don’t see Bardock’s old friends from the movie Bardock: The Father of Goku or we don’t see his Super Saiyan transformation Episode of Bardock. Regardless of the changes, fans was still happy to see these characters canon and part of the main story. Just like I mentioned before with Bardock, this also means that Toriyama changed Broly. In the DBZ movies, Toriyama did designed Broly but he wasn’t part of the past movies and Broly was just another noncanon villain in the DBZ movies like Cooler or Lord Slug. Broly made more appearances in three movies due to popularity and seeing him come back as canon, he is involved with the main story. Now here is the main topic of this post: What if Toriyama said today that he wanted to do another Dragon Ball movie and bring back and character that was originally noncanon? What if Dragon Ball Super comes back and he wants to reintroduce a character he designed and be in the Dragon Ball Super? I have five characters in my mind that I would love to see return. These characters are from the past DBZ movies and filler arcs of Z. This is also a tribute to the 30 years of the Dragon Ball Z anime! Happy Anniversary Dragon Ball Z and thank you for the characters and story!

5. Pikkon (Dragon Ball Z)

Remember that epic fight with Goku and Hit in Dragon Ball Super where Goku used Kaioken and Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan together? Before that happened, Dragon Ball veterans saw something similar in the classic Dragon Ball Z anime. In Dragon Ball Z, this anime did have filler that was not part of the original manga. Taking place after the events of the Cell Games, Goku is dead and rather than training with King Kai, he decides to part in tournament where all the Kais come together and pit their strongest warriors and see who is the strongest, in thus this leads to the Other World Tournament episodes. In this filler, Goku and Pikkon are faced against each other and both are equally matched. Despite Pikkon being stronger than Frieza and even Cell, Goku has an ace up his sleeve. He transform into Super Saiyan and mixed his attacks with Kaioken for a boost.

What I am trying to say is that even though Pikkon is not noncanon, I did like him and I really like the friendship with him and Goku. I am also impressed how strong he is. It was mentioned in Bio Broly that when Broly died, King Kai wanted Goku and Pikkon stop Broly rampaging in the Other World. If Pikkon ever comes back, I would love to see him Super where Goku could team up with Goku and fight with dead warriors for training.

4. Tapion (Dragon Ball Z: Wrath of the Dragons)

He didn’t show up in the filler episodes but he appeared in the noncanon Z movies. Tapion is a new character introduced in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Wrath of the Dragon,. He is a mysterious hero who is on a quest to prevent the powerful monster Hirudegarn from destroying the world. I pick him because I like friendship between Kid Trunks and him. In the movie, Trunks becomes interested in him and sees that looks like a very cool hero and Tapion soon begins to like him since he reminds him of his younger brother who helped prevented the rampaging monster from rampage years ago. In the end of the movie, the monster slain and as Tapion returns him home, he gives powerful sword to Trunks. In the credits, we see Trunks wielding a sword and slaying Frieza after the events in Namek. I would love to see Toriyama bring back Trunks again and go over the details on how did he get the sword. I could possible see him referred or at least explained in a movie focusing only on Trunks.

3. Bojack (Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound)

Remember this muscled green giant? Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound introduced Bojack and his minions and we got see how scary they are. It is mentioned by King Kai that all four Kais sealed Bojack and his servants because they were evil and they had too power to be stopped in the galaxy; however, after King Kai died from Cell because of Goku, the seal is broken Bojack and his crew escapes and decides to have fun by attacking Earth. With Goku out of the picture, it’s up to Gohan and the Z-Warriors to stop him. If Bojack ever comes back, I would love to see him in the sequel/Dragon Ball Super anime. In the manga, DBS is still going and Goku and Vegeta are faced against a powerful energy stealing foe called Moro and the only one who can match against him is Majin Buu. What if while Goku and Vegeta are away, what if there is new threat and Gohan is Earth’s last resort. It was mentioned a while back that Toriyama planned to have Gohan to be the main protagonist in Dragon Ball Z when it first started, but then he became a side character since fans loved Goku more than Gohan. I would love to see Gohan in action and show fans that he still the same kid who once saved the world from Cell. He did come back strong in Dragon Ball Super in the last arc, but I would like to see him fight in a battle of life and death in the same way in Android Saga.

2. Slug (Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug)

Goku can’t catch a break with evil Namekians. In Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug, Goku and his friends must stop the evil Namekian Lord Slug from freezing the planet. In a similar way like Evil King Piccolo in the Dragon Ball classic anime, Goku is faced against a young Lord Slug in his prime and just like King Piccolo, he is evil to the core and will do what it takes to kill anyone stopping his goals. Goku barely made it out alive when he almost tapped into a Super Saiyan form and Gohan using his whistling skills to weaken Slug. Just like my point with Gohan and Bojack, what if the earth needed Piccolo’s protection. I could see an arc in Dragon Ball Super where Piccolo teams up with Gohan and fight against Slug. Not only Piccolo would get the spotlight, but I would love to see the teacher-student relationship with Gohan and Piccolo.

1. Cooler (Dragon Ball Z: Cooler’s Revenge)

Just like Broly, Cooler is another movie character that gets a lot of popularity from Dragon Ball Z fans. Cooler made his appearance in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Cooler’s Revenge and then came back again as a metal version called Metal Cooler in Dragon Ball Z: The Return of Cooler. Cooler is the older brother of Frieza and just like him, he is heartless. He comes to Earth to find the one who killed his brother and he is not doing this to avenge him, he wants to kill to honor the family and his own pride. It’s mentioned in the movie that he was already planning to kill Frieza to shut him up. Cooler will go beyond and even try to kill Goku’s friends in order to see him go mad. Cooler has gotten a lot attention even in the video games that he was added in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 in the PS2 and he came back in the Dragon Ball Heroes anime spinoff where he learned how to transform into Golden Cooler. He is also a DLC character in FighterZ along with Broly and Bardock. In Dragon Ball Super, he doesn’t show up at all and the only Frieza-like character we got was Frost in Universe 6. I would love to see story focusing on Frieza and his race. We could learn about his relationship with his brother and his father King Cold.

What-if?: Top 5 what-if episodes for Final Fantasy XV

As you may have noticed, Square Enix just announced that they released the last DLC for the game Final Fantasy XV. The last DLC is called Episode Ardyn and it allows players to play as the game’s antagonist Ardyn Izunia and get revenge on the people that turned against him years ago. Originally, Episode Ardyn was going to be part of a DLC pack called Dawn of the Future where players will be able to download and play this episode and other Episodes called Episode Lunafreya, Aranea and Noctis. Unfortunately, the plans were cancelled, but the episodes will still come back as a novel. As of now, excluding Comrades, we have Episodes Gladiolus, Prompto, Ignis and Ardyn. In this post I made, I want to share some interesting ideas what-if the plans for DLC was not cancelled and we got to see more stories on other characters. I compiled a top 5 list for characters to have their share of the story.

What-if we had:

5. Episode Cindy

What if we could play the car mechanic Cindy? It may sound weird because Cindy never fights in the game, and according to fans, she’s the fanservice of the game. She’s well known for taking care of Noctis’ car, the Regalia. She did have a big role in the Assassin’s Creed Festival event where she wanted to help Noctis save her friend Holly from Loqi. She also was part of missions in Comrades. What if Square took the time to show more development for her and made her a strong woman type character. She could be helping the remaining glaives during the ten year darkness and this could be an opportunity to explore her past. It was revealed by Cid that CIndy lost her parents from the daemons and she was raised by him. It would be interesting to see how far will Cindy go to go against the Empire and Daemons. We might get information Cid as well.

4. Episode Iris

What if Iris got attention? Iris is the little sister of Gladiolus and she is also a childhood friend of Noctis. She has a crush on him as well. She teams up with you for a bit as you try to escort her away from the Empire. She knows how to fight hand to hand combat and she has her cute Moogle doll to fight with. She’s also a great healer. It would be an interesting story to see her perspective in the story and learn about her relationship with Noctis. Her adventure could take place during the ten years of darkness or during the story where she is helping people escape from Old Lestallum.

3. Episode Nyx Ulric

What if you were a glaive like Nyx? Nyx first appeared in the CGI movie Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV. He is a character who helps Lunafreya escape from Crown City when the Empire took over and destroyed the kingdom. What if you could play as this guy in his youth years or still in training as a glaive? His gameplay would probably feel like a mix between Noctis because he is the given the ability to warp and and he would like Ignis because he is an expert with his daggers. It would be cool to play in his eyes and explore Crown City and interact characters from the movie like Crowe and Libertus.

2. Episode Cor

What if Cor had more action time? Cor made his appearance early on the game and he helped Noctis fight against the Niflheim enemy Loqi. It only took some downloads for him to get some attention again. In Episode Gladiolus, he helped Gladio to take the trials to fight against Gilgamesh. In the Royal Edition update, he shows up 10 years later and helps Noctis take back Crown City. I would love to play as Cor and see what has been doing while Noctis and his friends were on a road trip. It was mentioned in the game, he was helping hunters. Cor is a tough man and when fought him in Episode Gladiolus, this guy brought me down in a flash. Cor would be a fun character to use in combat.

1. Episode Regis (young version)

What if Square gave us a story based on Noctis father King Regis? Regis is an interesting man who has the same powers of Noctis and he even knows of the tragic fate for his son. It would be interesting to see what would be like if we could play as a young version of Regis in his early years of being king. We did kind of had the chance to play as Regis in his youth in his free game A King’s Tale where Regis told young Noctis a story about himself saving the Crystal. It would be awesome to play as Regis and have his friends work together to face against monsters and the Empire. It would be a bonus to see young characters like Cid, Clarus, Weskham and probably Cor.

We are one! – Top 5 anime characters with symbiotic partners (Happy Halloween!)

Happy Halloween!

“We are Venom!” This is a quote from Sony’s movie adaption of Marvel’s antihero Venom. I saw this movie and I have to admit, it was good movie and I would love to see a sequel or possibly have Venom crossover with Spider-Man. What makes Venom interesting is how the main character Eddie Brock is teamed up with an unknown creature unexpectedly and must learn to control. However, unlike most characters with super powers, Eddie gained these powers by accident and he struggles to control them and what’s worse is that Venom is a living creature with its own motives. In other words, Venom and Eddie has to work together in order to survive against enemies that wants them both dead.

This kind of relationship also exists in the world of anime and manga where characters receive a special power, but changes their lives differently. Some characters get rejected by society and some loses a part of their identity in order to live. In this post, I want to list my top five characters who gained powers but goes through hardships. Anime characters that obtained a power source without any characteristics like Deku from My Hero Academia will not be in this list since even though he does get the quirk One for All from All Might, the quirk is not a living creature. This list will focus on characters obtaining living, powerful beings and learning to cooperate with the hosts. I wasn’t sure how to properly title this post, so if you have any title suggestions for this post, comment down below. It’s been a while since I did a top post so excuse me for my rusty writing.

*There might be minor spoilers, but I will keep it to a minimum! This is not ranked! I am only listing from the top of my head. Also, I will be referring to the movie Venom more often. So if you are reading this and getting tired of me saying, “just like Venom or just like Eddie…”, get used to it!
