It’s been a year since Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was released in theaters. In case you didn’t know, Paramount Pictures recently announced last year that Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was the next movie that will be released in 2024. With an addition of a movie, they also announced that they plan to create a Knuckles TV series for Paramount Plus subscribers. It’s been recently confirmed that the Knuckles series has started production. Idris Elba will be returning to voice Knuckles the Echidna and the series will take place after Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3. According to news sites Variety and Deadline, the plot synopsis will be about Knuckles taking Tom’s friend Wade Whipple (Adam Pally) as a protégé and teach him how to be an echidna warrior. Sonic movie director Jeff Fowler and the rest of the creative team will be back for this series and Fowler will helm the pilot episode. Sonic 2 movie writer John Whittington is head writer and also wrote the pilot, and others involved in scripting the series include Brian Schacter and James Madejski. The show will have guest star Rory McCann and Tika Sumpter will reprise as Maddie. Besides these mentioned names, more members such Edi Patterson, Julian Barratt, Scott Mescudi and Ellie Taylor will be part of the show. As of now, there is no release date for the show.
Get ready for another Marvel TV series coming to… Hulu! Rather than coming to Disney+, Hulu and Marvel are teaming up again for another exclusive show featuring some powerful Marvel brother and sisters. The TV series is going to be called Marvel’s Helstrom and it’s coming out on 2020 at Hulu. Thhe show focuses on a brother and sister named Daimon and Ana are the offspring of a serial killer and plans to use their skils to rid of humanity’s worst. Here is the known cast for the characters:
Greetings Marvel fans, this weekend has been busy for Disney fans for young and old. We had many exciting news from Disney in regards to movies and TV shows in D23. Marvel has been giving fans a lot of news in regards to the direction of the MCU. Phase 4 and 5 is going to be an exciting phase because we’re going to be getting new movies and TV shows focusing on characters. Revealed at D23, we have some official posters of iconic characters in preparation for their projects. Coming to the MCU we have the TV series on Disney+ called The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Hello there, Star Wars nerds! If you love Star Wars, I got some news for you that will make you want to sign up for the Disney+ subscription. It’s been announced today at the D23 2019 that Disney will be releasing a Star Wars original series called The Mandalorian. Based on the trailer, this series will be focused on a mysterious bounty hunter who fights off the Empire’s stormtroopers while also doing their job on doing bounty hunter duties. This series will begin on the same day when Disney+ is launched which will be on November 12th.
In other news related to Star Wars, everyone’s favorite Jedi hero Obi-Wan Kenobi is going to be getting his own series on Disney+. To make it more exciting, Prequel actor of Obi-Wan Ewan McGregor will be returning to play his character. So far, there is no release date on the series or plot synopsis, but Disney wants to give fans what they want.

According to an article from IGN, MCU/Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige announced that he has plans of introducing the super heroine Ms. Marvel. Her appearance will most likely appear after they release the 2019 movie Captain Marvel. If you don’t know who is Ms. Marvel, Ms. Marvel is a superhero character that first appeared in Captain Marvel #14 (August 2013) and she debuted in her own issue February 2014. Her identity is Kamala Khan and she is a Pakistan American citizen. She is Marvel’s first Muslim super hero and her comic has spread positive widespread. Her powers allows her to extend and morph her limbs.
Marvel may be able to make some great superhero movies, but the TV shows is something else. Unlike the well received show Agents of Shield, the recent MCU series Inhumans is getting some negative feedback. According to IGN, Channel ABC canceled the series Inhumans. With only eight episodes in total, the channel is pulling the plug.
Speaking of Agents of Shield, ABC will renew the series for the 6th season. The new season will have 13 episodes and it is hinted that it will reference the recent Marvel movie Avengers: Infinity War. It’s unknown when will it begin.

Logan (March 3): This Marvel movie is the last film of the Wolverine series and it will be Hugh Jackman’s last performance of Wolverine.
Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale (March 9th ONLY): Created by Reki Kawahara, the movie will take place after Sword Art Online II and it will involve Kirito and his friends playing a game with augmented-reality devices.
Kong: Skull Island (March 10th): According to Wikipedia, this movie will serve as a reboot to the King Kong movies and apparently a prequel to 2014 Godzilla movie. This movie talks about a crew visiting a dangerous island filled with creatures and one is a giant ape called King Kong.
Beauty and the Beast (March 17th): Disney once again turns a classic cartoon into a live-action film. Emma Watson (well-known for being Harry Potter) will be Belle and show the frighting Beast the importance of love and kindness.
Power Rangers (March 24th): Based on the popular franchise, Power Rangers will finally be in the big screen and it will be based on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The cast will feature new characters in a dark story. It is said it plans to have 7 more films.
Ghost in the Shell (March 31st): Based on the 1995 anime film, Scarlett Johansson will play as Motoko Kusanagi and will fight against a hacker who wants to destroy technology.
Games
Nintendo Switch (March 3rd): From NES to the 3DS, Nintendo will be releasing a new console but it will also play as a portable device. The Nintendo Switch is a portable game console where players can play video games at home or on the go. New games are expected to be in the console like Mario, Link, Sonic and 3rd party games like Skyrim.
NieR: Automata (March 7th): If you like Square Enix and you like hack-and-slash beat’em ups, this game is for you. This game is a spinoff of the NieR game and players will be able to play as the female character 2B and much more and fight against an apocalyptic world. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 (March 28th): If you have ever wanted to join the Kingdom Hearts fandom or want to relieve the classic games on better graphics, I recommend getting this game. This game includes 6 games (excluding 2.8) and it will introduce old and new fans to better Kingdom Hearts experience!
Final Fantasy XV DLC: Gladiolus Episode (March 28th): In this DLC, whether you got this free from the season pass or just paid $5, players will experience Final Fantasy XV in a different perspective. Players will control Gladiolus and experience his story and skills as he teams up with Cor and fight powerful monsters and also Gilgamesh.

As far as I know I found two interesting news:
Samurai Jack season 5 (March 11th) : If you have been watching Toonami on Saturdays, you may have noticed that Toonami are showing season 1 of Samurai Jack. On March 11th, Samurai Jack returns with a new season. The creator and people return and they make the story even violent and dark.
Boruto: Naruto the Movie (March 28th): Taking place after the original story, the movie stars a new cast of a new generation of ninjas. Naruto is Hokage and everyone are adults and helping the new kids. Boruto is Naruto’s son and he wishes to be better than his father. He even gets help from Naruto’s friend/rival Sasuke, who is now his mentor.
Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? (or DanMachi for short) (March 28th): If you like anime with fantasy and video game themes, this anime is for you. Based on the light novel, Sentai Filmworks releases the anime in English Dub will feature voices the fan favorite characters like white-haired Bell and the cute goddess Hestia!

After looking at Anime News Network and seeing this posted on @josefcd904 Twitter, Reki Kawahara’s light novel series Sword Art Online will be getting an American Live-Action TV series. The recently announced news states that it got the rights to release the TV series globally from independent production company Skydance Television. The TV series will have script writer Laeta Kalogridis (Avatar, Terminator Genisys) and the executive producers are David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross.
There is also plans by Skydance Interactive on having a reality experience of Sword Art Online after the TV series.
With this announced and even the upcoming Netflix American series Death Note, it looks like America are doing their versions of our favorite anime series.
